This was my first time coming to this old bar down in Norco, but I had a pleasant time (because my friends had some gossip to share) and the think the drinks were pretty good as well. The service from the bartender was amazing as both of them helped me with recommendations and all of my drinks with no problems or anything. I think it was nice as a relax at the end of the day type of bar but maybe some other activities will make it a bit better. Overall a 4/5 from me. read more

We spent Thursday doing karaoke here, Mark I believe is his name he's an awesome host but ,on another note I cannot say the same about the bartenders, they can be such awful beings. More specifically the red head older lady. She's been extremely rude every time we went up to order a drink. She also didn't ask me if I wanted to keep a tab opened or closed and just kept my card once I asked for it back I received the nastiest attitude from her the rest of the night. I came here to get a drink or two for my brother's 21st birthday. The young lady and the old hag were serving. I only got a few beers for my brother, his friend, and I (like three) and a jack and coke for my brother. I paid for us since it was my brother's birthday. Spent the last of the money I had as I was out of a job during the time. Place was pretty white. My friend noticed they had some Jim crow looking cartoon playing. Anyways they were rude from the start. Gave us dirty looks and attitude the whole time. When we decided to leave I left no tip. We were out by the car smoking a cig when I heard the old lady tell some patrons "im about to be an asshole" and walk over to us btchin' about not leaving a tip. She then proceeded to bug us for one. I told her I used like all my money and only had a few dollars to my name. She said "well then honey you shouldn't go to a bar if you don't have money." I like this place enough. It has comfortable bar stools and a great selection of beer and booze. There are pool tables and electronic dart boards. They do karaoke on some nights which is pretty fun. Karaoke was the busiest I have seen the bar. Usually I have just seen people sitting at the bar and an occasional group at a table. Some of the locals tell me they stopped going because the prices keep going up. The last time I was there they were asking $5 for a bottle of Coors Lite, which I think is high compared to the other similar bars around. You can get a better deal if you ask for a bucket of six at $25.50 though, so ask for it. You don't even have to drink them all in one visit, just bring back the little cups they give you as tokens the next time you go. The bartenders are friendly and they put your beers in coozys to keep them cold. I don't know how often they are washed though so use them at your own risk, especially during this damn pandemic. The owner is there a lot too but listening to his political views is a bit off putting. Though he is friendly. There is ample parking out front. read more

I have always had a great time at Slam Dunk. I like that they have Golden Tee and I come in even when it's slow to play a couple of games when I'm in the neighborhood. I absolutely love Deena and she always makes me feel so welcome and I'll continue to visit as long as I know she's working. Mark also adds to the fun atmosphere. I had one bad experience with a bartender on a Tuesday night, but the owner was quick to address the problem. With that said, I changed my review to 5 stars assuming the one bad experience was an anomaly. read more

Sometimes I think I spend a little too much time here. I don't know. I just dig the vibe. It is comfortable, not creepy, and not bougie. I grew up in N.Hollywood then moved to Orange County, then bought a house in Corona so you know, I'm progressing nicely as I age. I don't want fussy. Quite honestly, the first time I came to this bar was at least a couple years ago. I met Deena and came back with my husband on a different day just because of her. She wasn't there if course so he didn't understand why I liked the bar until we came back when she was working the bar. So I feel like I only come now to say Hi to Deena. Haha. There's karaoke most days with a very sweet guy who wants to help everyone be brave, have fun, and sing! Sometimes the owners come in and they are super friendly too. Went here on a whim last weekend after we were disappointed with another local bar and had the BEST time! We love karaoke and T-Bar (Mark) did not disappoint! He has a wide range of song choices and the sound system was great compared to some other local bars in the area (where you have to scream into the mike to be heard). Tanya was our bartender that night and had a fantastic attitude, very attentive, and very personable! They made our experience super enjoyable and we can't wait to go back. New to the area, so being a regular at the Slam Dunk in Whittier for several years, trying out the Slam Dunk in Norco (not far from my new home) was an absolute must. I'm pleased with the staff (I think I've met all the bartenders by now) the customers (never a dull moment) the Ice Cold beers and the low prices will keep me coming back for sure!
