I love a great Irish pub, for years my coworker and I have been meeting in the Lowe's parking lot and carpooling to several accounts. He is closer to this place and we were on our way back when he mentioned if we wanted to have a drink at the Irish pub. What? I had never noticed this place. So I had to come in and have a Smithwicks. Unfortunately, for me, they did not have any Smithwicks where she offered me a red trolley and I accept it. Damn! My coworker had a Bud Light. It was happy hour time at most places, but this place did not have a happy hour. Bummer, I love a good happy hour. They also do not have prices on any of their beers so we got the receipt and I noticed that the Bud Light was almost half the cost of the red trolley, I was kind of surprised. They did mention that they had a ribeye special for $13. The guy next to me had two of them. He seemed to like it, while ribbon was a little bit thin. But again it was a great special. His came with fries and I don't know if you can make changes to it. I asked if they had any other specials during the week and the guy mentioned something about a hamburger and beer on Monday, and tacos and beer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But I cannot find anything showing that. She did mention they don't have a specials menu. I found that kind of odd. If I were hungry, I would definitely have tried it, but we had had lunch with a client and then drove back north from making our sales calls and so we just had a couple drinks. Have been wanting to go to Shamrocks for awhile. Figured, Saint Patrick's Day" why not? Unfortunately I was disappointed. The staff is fabulous, friendly and attentive. I was disappointed in the food. Ordered Irish nachos, fries with corned beef on top and cheese. It was not good, the meat was cold the fries were hot , we sent it back. I ordered Brats bratwurst and mash. The bratwursts were nothing more than " hotdogs' absolutely NOT BRATS! One of use ordered fish in chips , they however were great. The onion rings were great as well. Would I go back? I may give it a second chance, I mean it was St.Paddys Day and maybe they ran out of Brats? Atmosphere was good, staff was great but for me, food was not great. read more

Went here for lunch on Sunday. Their ad says they open at 11:00 am. We got there about 11:05 and the front doors were open went inside, but no host, hostess waiter or waitress in sight. We did hear voices in the kitchen so we called out...no answer. We decided to seat ourselves. The menu looked great and a member or our party had eaten there before and said the burgers were great. It was now 11:25 and we could hear talking in the kitchen area, but nobody up front. I walked to the bar to get someone's attention. Before I called back, an older gentleman walked from the kitchen to drink area to fill up a glass of water. We were 10 feet apart. I began to speak to him, but he was talking to another person in the kitchen. I politely tried several times to get his attention but he, for lack of a better term, ignored me. He walked back to the kitchen without acknowledging me. Needless to say we left. Unfortunate experience since I know from others that the food is good and the usual ambiance is quite fun. Wish the service had not been absent that day. We might give it another shot later. read more

We were the only other patrons aside from a group of 3 at the bar. The waitress had to be asked to bring us our drinks, after 30 minutes of waiting two different times. I went and stood at the bar for 5 min and she wouldn't look up from her phone. My bf even said hello hello.. she again did not look up from the phone or acknowledge him so he sat back down. Then we waited 40 min to pay our bill, and when I asked to please run the card, she gave me attitude like I was annoying her. read more

I was there for lunch last week and had the most delicious beef dip sandwich I have ever had. The meat was incredibly tender. The roll was soft and tasty. The onion rings were delicious. I came here on Christmas to have a couple of Margaritas and the bartender Nichelle helped us out. She overcharged my card because she felt entitled to a higher gratuity then we had already left her. I called the restaurant three times to get it fixed and nothing. I went in person and the server at the moment told us she couldn't help because the owner wasn't there. All she did was leave a note but yet no one has reached out. If you go here please take your receipts or don't pay with card because they do fraud! I'm not the first customer this has happened to. Jarring to walk in at dinner time on a Friday night and see maybe 5 people when there is seating for 100+. Gave it a try anyway. Big mistake. Food was mediocre at best while the service was abysmal. Because there were so few patrons there, the staff was deeply engrossed in gossiping with one or two regulars. Order was simple : burger no cheese. You guessed it. Cheese. Side salad? Not really. Stale iceberg lettuce with one tomato slice. Second burger comes out. Awful. No one asks if it's ok. Don't eat the salad at all. The burger bun is inedible. So... you'd think someone might ask if everything was okay in light of the fact that 90% of the food was not consumed. Wrong again. Didn't care. Best part? Most of the overheard gossiping was about "this f'ing asshole regular who doesn't tip." The other ratings on here seem pretty accurate. On a good day it might be "okay." Maybe. But given that one beer and one burger cost $30 it has to be great. It isn't. read more

Decent service and typical bar atmosphere, but nowhere near an "Irish Pub" vibe. The beer was great, but the food was pretty bad.

Hamburger with cheese and mushrooms, bun and meat were ok. Ordered medium rare, it came well done and dry. Lettuce, 1 paper thin piece of lettuce, red onion almost non existent. Steak cut fries were battered type not steak fries. Waitress Desiree , was on phone my entire visit, did not wait on me until I called her over. Asked for ranch with fries, she never brought it and I could not ask her because she was still on her phone and sitting at a table 15 feet away. I wanted to check out and tried to get her attention and she did not look away from her phone and I had to speak loudly to get her attention. Islands was next door and I Pasted it up to try out Shamrocks, They need a tube up in the kitchen and training for the waitress. Sorry,very disappointed. Islands next time. read more

OK Ed Desiree was our server today. She made me forget about the last time we were here and I didn't get served. She was amazing at her job. Our drink stay filled she even gave extra coleslaw which are probably not supposed to say but my partner wanted me to say anyways. The fish and chips is amazingly hot and fresh. Was feeling a bit meloncholy one December evening when I concluded that having a few cocktails would lift my spirits (no pun intended) so I resulted in patroning Shamrocks. Once present I found myself drinking a refreshing cerveza served by the most hospital and friendly tender I've met. My mind was reeling from recent unfortunate events, when Kat offered a friendly ear and managed to provide the services of a seasoned psychologist to quell the unease that had been quandering my psyche. I found myself leaving the establishment with a clear and confident conscience, like I haven't felt in ages. I will definitely be returning. read more

Well... no. I ordered their Shepherds pie..... no flavor. I covered it in hot sauce and it remained bland. I paid but didn't waste my calories on it. Nope! The service was good. The environment was nice bar. Decent pricing and drinks but not the food. Also, the cook had his heavy metal music so loud that I couldn't hear the front of house music. It is just tacky. Aside from the expensive drinks, the karaoke is unorganized. They base it on a "rotation," but their rotation basically means if anyone new comes to the list they're added, so anyone who asked to sing again is pushed to the bottom of the list, so you could end up 100 names down even if you asked to sing again. Did I mention the karaoke person let someone sing twice pretty quickly because the "sound was off?" It doesn't make sense to me, but maybe it works for them. read more

Disappointing. Tried calling to ask this question, but no one answered the phone. So, drove 20 minutes to confirm that I'd be able to pick up take away Shepherd's Pie for my bed-bound wife. My girl and I go to Shamrock 4-5 times a month for lunch and darts... the darts have been broken for a month or so... we finally discovered that we could use quarters (pain)... and yesterday we could only get 10 $ of quarters from the bar (crazy)...guess we will look for some other place, too much of a hassle read more

Listen, I don't usually write reviews, but I need everyone to know--this is hands down the best BLT I've ever had. Even my husband, who is rarely impressed by anything, agrees that this sandwich is in a league of its own. Bonus points: They have karaoke on Thursday nights, which makes for a fun night out. Honestly I've been there twice only because it's late and Islands next door is closed. Plus only place in town to get a mixed drink and dinner at that time of night. Food is average, drinks and service is average. I've seen complaints on yelp about poor management and I've witnessed an actual customer complaint and no one was available to address it. I called the day before to reserve tables for a last minute birthday party of 15+ people and Eddie (the manager) said absolutely, no problem. We came in and we had a row of tables all set and reserved. Mikey our server came right over introduced himself and told us that Eddie had told him he was our server for the night and make sure everything was perfect and it was. The food was amazing, the drinks were ice cold and the service was impeccable. We wanted a place that our daughters could join, they are under 21 so that meant a lot to us. My "hidden" hometown gem. My friends and I, love to come here every weekend to every other weekend. We always get a table with no problems and get greeted by our favorite staff members!
