I like the dive bar experience here. The speaker for the jukebox is super loud, so it makes spending money on TouchTunes worth it. The drinks are a LITTLE overpriced for a dive bar though. To end my experience, I ordered 2 tall whiskey diets. I switched cards for my final order since they had a bartender switch. I was charged for 2 doubles at $16.50 each ($31 total for 2 whiskey diets LOL). read more

HAGGARD BLONDE BARTENDER IS RUDE AF...Went here for the first time last night (Sunday Sep 15th) to play a few games of pool with a friend. I liked the place. Cool little dive bar. Not many people when we arrived (almost 1am) maybe about 10 people tops all sitting by the bar. We ordered a round. A beer each and started playing. $1 a game...Everything was cool. music coming from the jukebox was good, i put some songs on the jukebox with the AMI app. I was enjoying myself. we drank our beers relatively slow considering we're PLAYING POOL (in comparison to the guys at the bar chugging their beer) we played about 3 games and stepped out for a cigarette. They had the door open. We're smoking and it's getting late 1:15-1:20am so almost last call I would assume. Suddenly the haggard one comes out and literally says "you guys are done. You're not buying anything so it's time to go." Well ya lady we're playing pool. We told her we planned to grab another round at last call. We're just having a smoke. Nope...she cuts us off and as we were finishing our cigarette, literally shuts the door on us. Mind you, she hasn't announced last call and there are still about 7 or 8 ppl at the bar. I'm guessing they were all regulars that she caters to. I didn't even hear the songs I put on the jukebox that I paid for. WTF is up with that? I'm from Orange County and I regular a few bars over there and have many bartender friends, mostly female, so I know the bartenders deal with a lot. Rude people, belligerent drunks etc.., I get that...we were non of those. Just minding our own. playing some pool. I'm assuming she got pissed off that we weren't ordering beer after beer like the dudes at the bar sitting on their asses. So you're telling me a beer in 30 minutes is not enough when we're playing pool? It's Sunday we're not trying to get hammered lol. that's bullshit. I never experienced that in my life. I'm 35 I've been to a lot of bars. She could've said "hey, there's a drink minimum." Or "hey, we close the pool tables at this time." but nah this rude white woman has a chip on her shoulder or she doesn't like Mexicans. I hate to go there, but I don't know what her deal was. (Probably doesn't hate mexicans but idk maybe) I will probably go back eventually because I have some friends that go there and the place is cool, but I will never tip that broad EVER. I wouldn't be surprised if they 86'd me after reading this honest review... bad first impression but then again it is a hole in the wall dive bar so I'll just give back the same energy. I have never been here before. They can run my name and it will never come up. Apparently I've either been mistaken for someone else or they just decided I was someone to fuck over. Friday night 11pm to about 1 am something- me and a couple friends of my showed up. We left a card with the bar tender on shift and everything was fine. We got our drinks and our pool table. But all of a sudden when we went to close out? We were completely ignored. And the manager on duty? No questions asked she defended her bar tender and blamed us. We waited an hour and then we were kicked out for harassing her bar tender. No card back and we were told we were closed out without any attention aside from being told we were harassing staff. The card owner was never given a receipt or anything to sign. Suddenly they lost the card. The card owner did not leave with his card back. Door slammed in our face and we were told we were harassing the establishment. I don't go out for exactly this reason. Businesses will act like shit for no reason with no consequences. And then what? No one is being held responsible? It doesn't matter, but it should. It was my first time and I will never go back. I've never been treated with so much disrespect for no reason. read more

Place doesn't feel too welcoming. Despise the rating it has I still wanted to try it, thought it would be a decent spot for cheap quick beer. Cheap absolutely not. $6 for a bottle of coors light. People are gonna try to pick a fight with you for no apparent reason then on top of that you can't say anything positive or negative about someone cuz then you're talking shit and eventually it would get into that person's ear. Happened to be in corona and it's 5 pm...hello...Can you say HAPPY HOUR? Used yelp to find a bar and decided to try Michelle's Bar. The music was the best thing happening. Listen to their happy hour... $12 for a bucket of 3 fricken beers. (never heard of a bucket of 3!!!! hello) and $2 to make a michelada!! a Happy Hour well drink is $6.50. Men...don't come here looking for any hot or mediocre bartenders. If you just want to sit in the corner and drink a cold one...this is the place. read more

Wifey and I have lived in Corona for 25 years and heard of 2 legendary dive bars here...THE LOUNGE (now closed) and MICHELLE'S BAR. Never made it to THE LOUNGE (we heard the stoeies) so yesterday we dropped in on MICHELLE'S. About 6 pm and about 6 locals were arguing over the best Led Zep album as LZ was on the jukebox...my kinda place. Bartender welcomed us and got out jank and cokes quickly...and apparently forgot the coke (a good sign). Everybody was cool and cordial. Had a 2nd round, then left. A great experience. Stop #2 on the "Tour De Corona": This place rules. It's pretty much like the Corona version of The Olive Pit...or maybe The Cherry Pit. Your standard dive bar affair, with some pool tables, semi-friendly service. Decent prices. Dive bar. You've been to a place just like this, I'm sure. The bathrooms were decent; nothing too skeevy. My buddy Murder and I had a round here, and hung out long enough to get acquainted with some of the locals. Colorful cast of characters, that is for sure. I met a guy who claimed he was the original singer of Saint Vitus, Scott Reegers. Another guy talked about how, in 1988, a girl was murdered in the city of Placentia and "somehow, someway, we got the guy. It was by starlight, but killed the guy that did it." Then I said "Fuck, that's crazy" and he got mad because I used the F word. read more

Finally decided to go check this bar out on a Thursday night football (11/18/21)... Yes it's a dive bar. The bartender was super nice, and the people (regulars) were very inviting and open to conversation. The beers were cold and smooth. The bartender was always around to ask if I needed something else. There were 4 pool tables and a back open air patio. Jukebox and TVs. I give them 4 stars mainly because I believe the TVs should be bigger and there is no food here. However, the staff has no problem with you ordering food for delivery or bringing in your own. Sometimes the music was real loud that you needed to shout in order to talk to others. Will definitely go again whenever I'm in the area. Thanks again. read more

The diviest of dive bars. They have PBR on tap. Not just a t-shirt and jeans place, but a promotional-t-shirt-you-only-wear-when-doing-yard-work-and-painting-and-jeans place. When a friend and I went, we got a pitcher and sat at the bar next to an older biker-looking dude with a puppy lying down on the bar. He said he'd just rescued the puppy from potential roadkill on 6th, that it was just out there running in the street. He wanted to feed it, but the puppy was none too keen on the Planters bar-peanuts. I told a couple of local friends who grew up in the area that I'd gone and their reaction was "Ewgh. That place is skeevy." And ... that's pretty accurate. But it's also not anything different than what they're trying to be, so you can't really blame them too much. You get what it looks like you'll get when you walk in: A slightly too-warm, but cheap beer served by a haggard-looking bartender in a shirt way too tight and low-cut for her years and figure. The colorful locals have crazy stories, and they laugh loudly and boisterously from dentally-neglected mouths. It's the kind of place I wouldn't want to take my girl to, or any girl really. But it's also the kind of place I wouldn't mind stopping by for a beer, in my work clothes, after a long, hot day out in the sun, back when I still worked that sort of gig. Sketchy, but then, its clientele rescues puppies so it can't be that bad. Anyone who goes out of their way to rescue a puppy is good people in my book. read more

I'm calling Bar Rescue on this place. The bartender that was there this past Saturday told my Latino friend that he did not look like he was from Illinois when he showed her his ID. (lmao) So she kicked us out because we were brown. Very disappointing experience, Michelle you suck. I gave this place 1 star because Yelp made me do it. Not even worth the gas I spent driving to this place. If you are not white do not go. I repeat, do not go they will kick you out. read more

I've never been treated in such a way at a bar before. I never write reviews but I have to on this one. Me and five of my friends came in just wanting to hang out and a tiny blonde lady walked up to us and asked for IDs. When me and my best friend showed her our Michigan IDs, she shook her head and told us to get out. We told her we were just in California temporarily and we were literally going back to Michigan on Wednesday. I told her I'd even show her my itinerary. But her rudeness blocked her hearing and she continued to tell us to leave. We decided we didn't want to give business to a rude bar anyways so we left for Downtown Riverside. After reading Diego M's comment below, I cannot believe the same thing happened to him. I just might have to agree with him. None of us are white. What a shame. read more

The people here are Chill, Laidback, and Friendly... there are some intresting "Characters" but i like them. Have come here 2xs already n so much fun & worth it. i went there tday & went straight 2 the bathroon & as i was done & 'twisted my ankel bad!!' then went 2 the bar & had a beer or 2 & had a great time & me1t a few ppl. then the bartender was 'awsome!!' just before 'last call' went to the bathroon i fell/slipped again & hurt my another time. the owner need 2 spend spm $$$$ & fix the bathrooms sewer, so this does not happen!! but besides this i have had a great time there. the owner need to spen some $$ & update the bar, the bathrooms, need wifi etc!! read more

What an amazing "dive bar". Don't go by all of the reviews, including this one, but this place is amazing. Kansas (day bartender) is a rock star and usually remembers your drinks from day to day. She is a hoot and likes to have a good time with her customers. They have a very wide variety of customers from young to old, some former military, some white collar, some blue collar and some no collar. Every day is a different mix and clientele but everyone was kind, pleasant and friendly while I was here drinking. Amy (night bartender) is just as fun and outgoing and enjoys the Service that she provides those of us on this side of the bar. For me, it's a place that I will visit more than once and continue to have a great time. read more

My buddy just moved to corona, so we wanted to check out the local bars in the area. This was the first bar we went to on our list of bars to visit. We went here on a hot day and this place had no air conditioning, so we were sweating like crazy. The worst part were all the flies buzzing around and attacking are legs while we drank. The beer was not that cheap as we expected $10 for a pitcher of stale tasting miller lt. However, the bar tender was very nice and helped us figure out the keno game we wanted to play and the customers all seemed nice and chatty. read more

Horrible experience. The bartender (blonde) was rude since we began talking to her. My husband and I are from another state so she asked what brought us here. My husband said work and she didn't believe him. She made rude comments and when we gave her our id's she threw them back at us and said nice try. First off, I am 30 and he is 29 so no need for fake id's. Secondly, we are military so we could have shown her our military id's but chose to take our money elsewhere. Iv been to this bar before, and had never really felt the need to write a review. Its a small hole in the wall bar. Half the staff is old, and rude and the other girls from past experience like to get drunk, and start fights. Extremely bad for business if you ask me!! In the past iv asked for a drink and lets just say i didnt get what i wanted. I didnt plan on going back any time soon. Although this past sunday no actually 2 sundays ago. I was meeting a friend, and we decided to give this place another shot. It was great they had a younger new bartender her name was Melly who was so cool, down to earth, didnt act uptight, rude, or like she had an attitude problem, and the best thing yet she made me a shot. Chilled, strained it, even added the salt and lime. She made the experience definitely worth while. We listened to music even played some pool. Sang, had a blast. Where to begin. We walked in to the bar. Music was very loud and 3 people total in the bar. The little blonde hair bartender asked for our IDs. We gave the ID to her, all of us in our 40-50. One of us had a ID that had expired. She said she couldn't serve us and we couldn't be in the bar. We thought she was messing with us. She was serious and told us to leave. During this wait outside, we got the up to date ID and 2 more friends showed up. One person in our group had a US passport cause she lost her ID. The bartender said THE PASSPORT was expired and the person showed the bartender that it was not and she had read it wrong. The bartender said she could not accept the US passport. We just all looked at her a realized she was either really HIGH or just that stupid. She said she would not serve us, we had to leave and she was gonna call the cops. She was totally off her rocker. We laughed and left and called a Uber. While waiting outside she came out and told us to get off the property and she was gonna call the police for trespassing. We just laughed and still think she is totally high. Don't waste your money or time here. Plenty of small dive bars to go to. read more
