This place is a blast! I have been here almost every time I am in town. The food here is really good as bars go. I've tried a bunch of their appetizers and they have always been good. The corned beef tacos are interesting too as is the mac n cheese. They have good prices on drinks and they are poured well. Full bar with beer and wine as well. The staff is great and always friendly even when it is busy. I have had great service even during evenings with a band. I have seen some really good shows there. They seem to bring in well known bands like FlashPants. I have even done karaoke on occasion. They have a nice big patio too where you can smoke. Well worth a visit. read more

I've been coming here for Tuesday night karaoke when KJ Rodney started hosting the shows on Tuesdays. We bring friends sometimes, ourselves all the time, we always order drinks and food, and we always tip no matter the service. The service has always left much to be desired but in the beginning, at least they were trying (or at least putting up a good front that they were trying). And then the regular bartenders came back from whatever leave of absence and for a little bit, I chalked it up to it being busy or getting reacclimatized to serving. But it's been months now and I just don't know what's up. It sucks to watch everyone else get served and even when I try to help out by ordering at the bar, I still feel like I'm getting ignored. On more than one occasion, my table was worried because it took over 15-20 minutes for me to come back from ordering at the bar. On another night I grabbed my food from the kitchen window myself and napkins and cutlery. I only go for Tuesday karaoke and I always try to patronize the bar by ordering food and drinks. I have a lot of respect for people in general so, I'm not gonna holler, fuss, or be weird. I've even tried ordering 2-3 drinks at once then closing out right away so I'm out of their hair. I'm just at the point of not knowing how to be here as a patron. I don't want to not order drinks or food when I'm here for karaoke but also, it makes me super tense and anxious when I watch loads of people get served and I'm all out of luck. read more

First timer today, wasnt there 30 minutes. The bartender was awful. Unwelcoming tall long brown haired chick. I got her name from someone who works there/knows her, but i wont post it. We will not return. One word responses, smarta**, kissing her boyfriend over the counter etc She never approached us asking if we wanted a new drink, we had to get her attention, etc. we were warned before we came in, that the bartender on Sunday was terrible. An actual Irish pub in the middle of SoCal. Real local spot. Understand that before you show up. Went there once for the DJ on Thursday. Lotta bangers. Security had to get involved due to drama I was unaware of, as it should be. Whatever situation was going on was not a result of the establishment. It was dealt with discretely and professionally. Impressive. Showed up on the following Tuesday hearing about a karaoke night. The KJ is experienced and accommodating. There's a crowd, make it work. Boondocks has made for themselves a good place for good people. I look forward to hopefully not hurting the crowds' ears with my future singing! After dinner at Fos Lagos area, I of course Yelped another bar with possible karaoke. We did arrive early, way too early. Do we thought to watch the game on but they havd our game on one tv which was too far to see. Ok not their problem. My BF doesn't drink alcohol, I got a Bailey coffee, the waitress said she would see who could make the coffee. It had a very weak coffee flavor. No napkins or water was brought. I used to go to the Boondocks often because it had a genuine Irish pub feel and atmosphere. I would drive once a week from Los Angeles and I always tried to get a seat right at the bar and I was always served like I was their favorite patron . But; the bar has changed into a sad place to go to . The service on the floor is just not what it Used to be. the server is spending time and hanging with the DJ and not attending to the people sitting at the tables. The DJ has a great hip hop Selection and gets people on the dance floor but it's not a Irish Pub anymore . They should change the name to what it is right now ! It has completely changed. Good bar food! Never had a bad experience. I try to get something different each time we visit. The extra hot buffalo wings are a must. Tried the fish and chips, smash burger, Irish nachos, chicken quesadilla, cheese burger on various visits - all good! The service is attentive and friendly with all the servers we encountered. The mix drinks are real good; generous and mindful bartenders! The jukebox volume is always too loud to try and keep conversations, even when someone is sitting next to you. I was in Boondocks Thursday 5/18 when a young lady came in and went straight to the restroom and came out staggering when security asked her for her ID, she refused and claimed she came her multiple times. She yelled across the bar at multiple patrons calling them names. When the bartender Chanise said she wasn't going to serve she got mad and started to yell at the bartender. The fact that she said she was kicked out because she was Hispanic is hilarious cause half the crowd were Hispanic. This bar NEVER discriminates the only time they kick anyone out is when said person is and are a scene and is causing trouble. I came here to meet my brother and his friends for football Sunday Funday yesterday. Upon entering I could barely see because it was so dark but my eyes easily adjusted after a couple of minutes. There were plenty of large TVs showing all of games. Was a little rowdy at the bar with screeching football fans but it added to the fun. Green lights hung from the ceiling and there were shamrocks hanging here and there. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and I got the breakfast tacos - both of us were to share. That was until the food came and the chicken and waffles were so good that she didn't want to share much. After stealing a bite I could understand why! Although the tacos were delish, def recommend the sausage AND bacon. They did not hold a candle to the chicken and waffles. Deep fried chicken tenders with bacon strips and an egg with golden waffle bookends. The waffles were the star of the show. They had a sugary crunch on each bite and tasted close to a fresh waffle cone you would smell cooking in a gourmet ice cream shop. It comes with a maple Siracha reduction sauce that was to die for. The service was excellent. They came by often and didn't leave an empty glass on the table long. I especially enjoyed the bartender Megan. She was so cute and friendly with all the customers whether new or regulars. Next time I am in town I will definitely be back for MY OWN chicken and waffles!!!! read more

I came in here for a quick drink and ended up staying longer than expected as the music was great, but the bartender Stephanie was amazing! I've been to several bars in the surrounding area and Stephanie was attentive, greeted me with the biggest smile and would ask if I wanted another drink just at the right time every time. I watched her run the bar like a pro, engaging with all patrons professionally and energetically. She clearly knows how to do her job as she took orders, rang up orders and made drinks continuously. If I were ever to open a bar, Stephanie would be the example manager and bartender I would want. The food menu had excellent choices and I ordered the chopped bbq chicken salad, which was delicious! This is by far the best bars in Corona! I am new to the area and have came here twice so far, and the drinks are very affordable and pretty good. Stick to the basic drinks here, the more complicated ones aren't as good since they're tougher to make. Beer, wine, and simple mixed drinks such as margaritas, vodka tonics/juice, gin and tonic, etc. are the drinks to get here. The servers and bartenders are always nice and welcoming. Let me just say it is the best place for drinks in Corona and has an ambiance that just screams fun. On weekends they have live music from local bands play, and they are usually really good.
