Okay Derby Room! I was very impressed that they allowed me to bring my dogs in here and allowed them inside if I kept them under the table where they were for the duration of my visit here. The food here wasn't bad. Not the best place to get pho but they do give you a very big serving of it. This place is bar food mixed with an American food and an Asian flare which is really weird but hey it works! And I dig it! The service started off good but then it tailored off and you didn't know who was serving you because at one point we just flagged anyone down for another drink. And the servers got super busy so it was a hit of a wait. I would really have like to give them a 4 1/2 star if I could. It's just the service was really good and then boom it changed. But all in all I would definitely be back.

Fun place to watch the game & enjoy food. The service is solid each visit. This time around I tried the asada fries and the Santa Fe burger. The fries were good and the burger was okay. The waffle fries were pretty solid.

We were pleased with the selection of food and large portions. You're spoiled for choice looking at the menu to the point it can get overwhelming. It reminded me a bit of The Cheesecake Factory. There's breakfast, burgers, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, salads, sandwiches, and drinks. Then when the food came to our table, I realized we probably could've ordered one plate and shared it. My sister ordered nachos and was given a whole cookie sheet of them covered in beef, guacamole, and sour cream. I ordered from their Wok section, which included a bowl of egg drop soup and a choice of white or fried rice. Even the take home containers are bigger than normal. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. We were seated at a booth in what I think is their family section. It's quieter and when we were there, it mainly consisted of women and a dad and his 2 daughters. The middle part of the restaurant has a bar and the area surrounding it is where mostly men were hanging out watching the TVs (I counted around 30 TV screens!) and placing bets. I had no clue what The Derby Room was about until I went to the restroom and saw a couple of men in front of a digital betting kiosk. If not for that, I would've thought it was just any other sports bar since on the TV it seemed like all the sports were on: horse racing, golf, baseball. All and all, whether you're a family and just want to eat (I remember even seeing coloring pages and Crayons at the front desk) or a serious sports better, I think there's a little bit of something for everyone here.

We came here on a Wednesday night wanting to try out a new spot for a drink and some food. We were sat right away and Rylee came over and was as sweet as can be. We ordered a beer and a tito's soda, they took a little while. We noticed the bartender chatting with the only 2 people at the bar who I assumed were regulars. Our server ended up pouring our drinks and came by and apologized for the wait stating "I had to tell the bartender to stop talking" We laughed it off together, no big deal. We ordered a sampler and a pizza to share. The sampler was decent, lacked some salt and was lukewarm. We ordered a pizza with extra mushrooms and pepperoni. There wasn't too many mushrooms but we were charged for extra. We bit into the pizza and my partner spit out a hard piece and we found a bone of some sort that had been baked into the cheese/mushrooms. Anyway, paid our tab, tipped, and left. We went to Miguel's Jr and got some decent food for dinner. We won't be back.

Visiting my husband's family who lives in Norco! Took us for breakfast here. It was pretty packed, being it NFL football Sunday! Place was pretty packed. Our server did a really great job considering it was a party of 7.. Excellent service & food was awesome, tv 's everywhere... out was pretty happening!!

The derby room is such a great place to enjoy with or without your kids. Every single thing on the menu is so good. We love coming here to watch games. It's a great environment and comfortable seats. All the employees are very friendly and have great customer service. Truly a hidden gem!

Staff is friendly but definitely understaffed. Only one waitress for approximately 10 tables and had to wait for her to make her rounds. Food was decent had the club sandwich with fries. Definitely cool with all the tvs surrounding the inside. No horse races when we went and it was a Tuesday night. Definitely a cool place to catch any game and a bucket of beers. I would go elsewhere next time for food.

Been coming here for years!!! Food is ALWAYS great!! They started a new menu today and it includes all the favorites we have been trying as specials. Gotta try the taco salad! So many great additions! On top of great food, this is the place to go for Horse Race betting. Lots of regulars so the atmosphere is always cool. Always has a good game on and amazing staff!!!

Come here often staff is always nice and friendly. Food is always good and comes out in. A timely manner is a good place for big groups as they do accommodate, and they have a wide variety of food to choose from.

Well, the brussel sprouts don't taste like anything. Either the sauce has no flavor or there was no sauce. Luckily I had salt and soy sauce at home. Second, they were out of the beef empanadas :( I can't be too mad about that, just sad. I got two more chicken instead and at least I can say those are really good. My main complaint is that they forgot to pack up the chimichurri. I'm so sad about that, it's one of my favorite parts. I even made it a point to mention to add extra. Great food is important, but great service is what turns a meal into an exceptional dining experience, and he delivered both. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, he was attentive, prompt, respectful, and genuinely kind. I also noticed how he interacted with the other tables around us. Every guest seemed to feel like they had his full attention, which is a rare quality. I work in an industry where I do a lot of hiring, and Luis is exactly the kind of person we look for. Staff is always nice and knowledgeable. We normally bring our wine and just have it corked there, but last time we were here, we enjoyed their selection as well. We love the interior with all the brick and lowered lighting. Provides a little more intimate of a setting. We actually came on my birthday in April (sorry the review is so late), but the staff all signed a birthday card for me and left confetti on the table. Nice touch. The food. We had the lava shrimp to start and of course the freshly baked loaf. I can't say anything bad. It's all fresh and the flavors are amazing. I got the venison chops cooked rare. Wow. First time I've had venison like this, and man. The presentation was cool. Waiter brought it out covered in glass and opened up the container in front of me so I could see the smoke leave the plate. She got the surf and turf, which is always nice. Steak cooked perfectly, lobster cooked perfectly, potatoes with the brown butter were delicious. Owen's never fails to let us down and we will keep coming back. Kudos to the owner and the chef for doing a bang up

As a visual person, it did hamper the ambiance for me, especially since I was sitting right next to it. We were the only table that wasn't a couple, and even when it got more crowded, the noise level was pleasantly low. Our server asked us how we felt about salt, which was very much appreciated. AMARETTO SOUR: 3/5. Very sweet, and orange-forward which is a new flavor profile for this cocktail for me. BREAD & WHIPPED BUTTER: 5/5. Served warm. The bread was pillowy soft, and the butter, (which was more air than butter and therefore definitely zero calories), was delightfully salty. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 5/5. I've been burned by so many poorly done sprouts that I don't order them anymore, but my partner wanted to try it and I'm so glad we got them. Zero bitterness, and crispier than an newly minted dollar bill. OCTOPUS: 5/5. Grilled to perfection, soft, not rubbery. The spices in the romesco sauce were aromatic and punchy. STEAK TARTARE: 4/5. Good. These crostinis were the most crostinis to have ever crostinied. The perfect vessel for the rich steak. MUSHROOM SOUP: 5/5. This is the first time I've found balance between being truffle-forward without being overbearing. Usually I'm done after about two spoonfuls, but all 3 bowls (shared between 6 of us) were cleaned. SURF & TURF: 5/5. Owen's checks internal and external temperature, which means steak is cooked true to the way it's ordered. More impressive is that they didn't overcook the lobster. A moment for the gorgeous blue plates; they are heirlooms, and only 7 of them exist in the world. CHILEAN SEA BASS: 4/5. For me, the radish did a lot of heavy lifting in balancing out the saltiness of the soy vinaigrette and richness of the fish itself. STEAK FRITES: 4/5. Again, perfectly cooked steak. I only had one fry, and I thought it was a damn good fry, but my partner did say it eventually got salty. And he loves his salt. CAMPING TRIP: 5/5. The crust on the salmon, the theatrics of the hot rock, the fresh veggies. It's a classic for a reason. MAITAKE MUSHROOM: 4/5. While it was good, I didn't find myself continuously reaching for more, as I nearly always do with mushrooms. ROBUCHON POTATOES: 5/5. AKA indulgent, buttery velvet. A labor of love well received. STRAWBERRY TART: 5/5. While the strawberries were phenomenal, the vanilla (?) custard was a little heavy for me. My mom inhaled it though. CRÈME BRÛLÉE: 5/5. So good. I don't know when it became normalized to serve crème with an Ozempic-thin layer of brûlée, but thank you Owen's for not doing that.

On top of that, didn't get a "welcome" or even a smile. It's almost as if we were bothering her. I love the food but having to wait 20 minutes for a tiny cup of ranch, having to basically beg for napkins for water and still not getting it really makes the experience not very fun or inviting.
