Wings with a shirley temple Tavern waygu burger with a mocktail
Joanna L.

My boyfriend & I went yesterday (Sunday, July 19th) at 7pm. Parking is great, no need to worry about parking on the street or paying etc. We were welcomed & seated right away since it wasn't packed. Only mini bummer was that majority of the places we go to my bf & I sit next to each other, rather than across, but the booths are only for huge groups (understandable). To sit next to each other we either had to do a high top table or sit by the bar. We decided to go with a low top table that sits 2 people across from each other, but no biggie, it wasn't the end of the world. Service was great, it was our first time there so we didn't know what to order & needed more time, in which our server (wish we got her name but she didn't introduce herself to us) was very kind & patient with us. My boyfriend & I don't drink alcohol but he did want to try a mocktail & our server was kind enough to explain & go over mocktail options. Food was amazing, I got wings as I wasn't that hungry. Perfect amount of spice & sauce, I loved that the wings weren't dry at all. My boyfriend got a burger, which tasted like an in n out burger, but 10x better! The brioche bun was so soft & yummy. The sauce, amazing! 10/10 recommend this place, we will definitely be coming here again

As a couple of locals we were so excited to visit this newer place in the city. We anticipated to have a go to spot for our catch up sessions but it fell a bit lackluster. Cute spot with plenty of parking and clean exterior and interior. We asked for a booth because we were in it for a few hours but were told booths were not for two people. We looked around to find about 10 people in the whole place (including off service staff). But okay we headed to the bar no big deal. Food was great and so were the drinks! Hats off to the skills to make them. The bar service was transactional. It was 5 pm and we asked if they were closing since we felt kind of like we were just taking up space with the limited interaction and warmth we were getting. Maybe it was an off day- there was no more than 10-12 people in total throughout our two hrs there on a weekend.

A great spot to hang out. Has lots of tv and tables. The vibe of the restaurant is very lively. The services and workers are very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the beer batter fish tacos with a side salad with another side of truffle fries. The portion side is pretty big and worth the price. Everything was so good. I would definitely come back and recommend Circle city tavern to anyone in the area.

I have eaten here a few of times, and every time has been amazing. This last trip I decided to give a few of the appetizers to try and had jalapeño popper egg rolls and spicy tuna tostadas. Both were amazing and I will definitely be sure to order with an entrée next time I visit. I accompanied my meal with a local IPA which I also. I didn't have a craft cocktail this visit, but in the past have been a fan of their old-fashioned, and there are a few on the menu to choose from. Great place for a date night, to meet up with friends, or to take the family for a nice dinner

Crispy chicken sandwich with cilantro garlic fries

Everything is supposed to be handcrafted. I believe that most of it is. Everything we ordered was hot, juicy, crispy, tasty, flavorful, whatever it was supposed to be. Starting with the cocktails and mimosas, all delicious. Espresso martini made with homemade espresso. Bomb. Bloody Mary was delicious with the smoked salt on the rim, the bacon strip was actually still hot off the grill and was a solid piece of bacon. Next, the double tavern burger with bacon. Yes, it's gonna cost you, but I assure you it was worth all $30. Everything was juicy and fresh. Only thing was the bottom bun got soggy pretty quick, but since it was so good I'm not complaining much. The regular fries were crispy and tasty. The crispy chicken sandwich was legit. Juicy and large piece of chicken freshly fried. The Calabrian chili slaw and a nice little sweet heat crunch to it and the pesto smacked. Got the cilantro garlic fries with this and those were amazing too. The ranch. You can taste the fresh dill in it, rich and tangy, always get sides of ranch. The staff was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. In addition to that, the entire set up in open and very clean. We ate outside on the back patio which is full of games and things for anyone to do really (cornhole, big jenga blocks, etc). Lots of room out there. Now they just need some live summer music out there and some concert night drink specials and it's a perfect spot

Always a fabulous time here. We sat at the bar for a date night and ran into an exceptional mixologist in Draven! Super personable and friendly! All the drinks we had were exceptional and delicious! We tried the Spicy Tuna Tostadas, Chicken Adobo Tacos and Brussel Sprouts for the first time, no disappointment or complaints here! The poached egg on the Brussels was a nice touch I did t know could add so much to this dish...made it feel very brunchy, not a bad thing! I had 2 CC Old Fashioneds and 1 Japanese Old Fashioned! Love them! My wife had her standard Margarita flight as well as the Golden Sunset Margarita! If you haven't been here yet, please get here and enjoy yourself! Happy Hour is awesome and the menu is delicately crafted! Can't wait to keep coming back and enjoying new things! Love this place!!!

Beer, battered fish tacos

We've been here several times, and every visit has been a great experience. The team at the hostess stand always greets guests with a genuine smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. We've visited both with and without reservations, and reservation times have always been honored. On this visit, it was just my husband and me, and Nicole was our server. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I started with the Jalapeño Basil Margarita and ordered the beer-battered fish tacos. To finish, I had the Hog High Old Fashioned. Everything was superb. The margarita had a subtle smoky flavor with just a hint of basil--refreshing, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The Hog High Old Fashioned is usually my go-to cocktail and is always crafted to perfection. With bacon in the mix, it's hard to go wrong! My husband enjoyed a local IPA on tap along with the Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls and Spicy Tuna Tostadas, both of which he loved. Even our two teenagers are big fans of the food here, which says a lot. This has quickly become our family's new favorite spot, and we look forward to many more visits.

When we came here, it was a Wednesday night so I guess you can say it was "Country Night" with live music. Our visit was two weeks ago and now I finally have time to write about it. We made reservations for 8 (including kids). I like the place. It's nice and the vibes and decor matches what they're going for. Parking is good and seating is decent for a small restaurant with booth to the side and tables on the middle section near the bar. They also have outside seating too with bathrooms along the back area. Music is definitely loud and we found ourselves talking louder just to communicate with one another. We ordered from the happy hour menu. Happy hour ended at 6pm on Wednesday and we made it right before! We got a variety of things. The tostadas were delicious. The adobo chicken tacos were stuffed and had a kick to it. Really flavorful. The garlic noodles were a bit too salty. The loaded pepperoni flat bread was decent. Just too much dough. The jalapeño eggrolls were good, definitely tasted better with the sauce it came with. The tavern nachos were mid and the "chicken tenders" for the kids were ok. No seasoning whatsoever on the chicken and very plain but fries were good. Drinks were a mixed review. The smoked old fashion was fire and definitely well done. The margarita flight was interesting. It's only served Tuesday but they made an exception for us since the waitress didn't know it's only for Tuesday and other guests got it too. The spicy margarita was good, the strawberry one didn't taste like strawberry. The mango didn't taste like mango. We were a bit confused but it is what it is, not all drinks can win. The golden sunset margarita was gross, it was really sour for some reason like they forgot the tequila. We're not one to complain and dealt with it. The city smash was good. Definitely worth it for happy hour. Overall service was good, food was decent and environment is kid friendly. Live music is definitely a plus. Definitely wanting to come back and check out other items and drinks. A good place to meet friends up and hang out.

Dirty Bihh Martini

My family absolutely loves it here. The service is always great, the food is incredible (especially the steak sandwich), and the atmosphere is amazing. We have quickly become regulars here. Wednesday's have become a weekly outing for us at the Tavern. My kids love the live music and look forward to coming. The Tavern is so special to us and now our close family and friends. 10/10 love this place

This place is a welcome surprise in this city. The food is not like any other bar food. Its more of an upscale accessible all American with a fusion twist. They got such a wide ranging menu from fish tacos to caviar and cioppino. They has so many varieties, there wipp always be something for everyone in the party. Their alcohol selection is vast and the decor is very earthy and warm. Love the atmosphere and the server was so attentive and great with checking up on us. I had the fish taco blackened with truffle parmesan fries. Well worth it. My friend got a pesto sandwich and it was good from what I gather. So many things to try. I'll come back on their band night on Tuesday and try more stuff. Give it a try.

Love this place! Hubby and I moved from LA to IE a couple years ago and just couldn't find our "go to" until we found circle city!!! Food, service, drinks and vibe was exactly what we've been searching for!

Cool little spot that opened recently. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. Nothing got sent back so that was a good sign. I had the double patty burger, had great flavor. 10/10 Short rib Benedict was tasty also. 9/10 Mussels had a great flavor and pretty much all of them were cooked and open 10/10

Argentinian steak sandwich... delicious.
Summer S.

First time here and we'll definitely be back. Great place to watch the game, catch up with friends, happy hour, date night, etc. Ahi Tostadas were a great starter. Argentinian Steak sandwich was really good and the Grilled wedge salad w/chicken. I love ciders and my Apple Crisp cider drink complemented the meal. Mckayla (sp?), our server, was great too!

What a gem of a place! You wouldn't expect a well decorated interior from the outside streets, but…read moreupon walking in, you'd be pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter. Needless to say, we'll be back!

They didn't check on us or offer additional drinks, and since the service was slow, we ordered another. They claimed to have notified us about the last call, but that never happened. When our last drinks arrived, we had to chug them down because they were closing. The stares from the staff made the situation awkward. Overall, the experience felt quite rude and unfriendly. I highly don't recommend it; it's nothing special, and the drinks are basic.

I probably had one of the best services out of all LD locations I've been to last night…read more I had late night apps and drinks planned with a friend. It was around 9:30pm and the place was slowing down but still a good amount of people dining in. We decided to sit in the patio area for that fresh summer breezy air. Plenty of eating inside, outside, and the bar area at this time. Our server was Vanessa. Super sweet and attentive gal. She was always checking to make sure we had everything we had as far as drinks or how we were doing with our food. I even told my friend, this is some good service for a late Saturday night. Like, who wants to be working at that time? But Vanessa was the happiest and I appreciated that so much. So thank you for the excellent service Miss. For the apps, we order carnitas nachos and crispy fried rice. My favorite were the nachos, the cheese was amazing. Melty and tasty and the meat tasted pretty fresh. Hats off to you LD for some good nachos! I liked the crispy fried rice. It was fresh and crunchy as well and the jalapeno slice on top gave it a nice special kick.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience absolutely deserved one…read more We came in on Father's Day, and before we arrived I called to ask if Lazy Dog had a specific dish because it's my fiancé absolute favorite. Kevin, who I believe is the manager, told me it wasn't available. I figured that was the end of it, but instead of leaving it there, he went above and beyond. He worked with what they had in the kitchen and made something as close as possible and it was honestly amazing. That one act meant so much to us. It wasn't something he had to do, especially on one of the busiest days of the year, but he took the time to make Father's Day feel special. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and wants them to have a great experience. On top of that, the service from everyone was wonderful. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. But Kevin's kindness and willingness to go the extra mile is something we won't forget. Thank you, Kevin, for making Father's Day so special for us. It's people like you who turn a meal into a memory. We will definitely be back!
