Alfredo is the best thanks for the great time and food was so delicious can't wait to come back

This was our first time here and we look forward to coming back. The menu changes daily so when you go not everything on today's menu may be available. Also, I read a couple of reviews that complained that not all menu items were available. Our waiter explained that when they sometimes run out of things, it's because they are a small restaurant. To start our meal, we ordered the Bresaola which was outstanding. For our main course we ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the Chicken Marsala. The Lobster Ravioli was served with a cream sauce and a lot of flavor. The Chicken Marsala was without a doubt the best I've ever tasted and was served a vegetable medley. Service was attentive but also a little slow at times. Some of the slowness may have been caused by the kitchen being very busy. The restaurant is noisy and busy. If possible make a reservation or you may have to wait for a table. read more

We went Friday night and yes it was busy but Gioia greeted us and said we could sit at the bar to eat and drink. This was perfect for us as we were just hungry from not eating since earlier in the day and we just wanted to unwind since we had gone to Glen Ivy for a well deserved soak. First off, I really didn't appreciate the person who was a regular who posted non sensical and petty things about this place. If you have ever been served at a true Italian moms and pops place ...you know things take time as it's made from "scratch". That said...nothing we had that night took too much time to make IMHO. An important thing to note was I was apprehensive to order since I am a Celiac until Gioia told me they had Gluten free pasta for anything except the ravioli and gnocchi. I was ecstatic honestly. Anyhow I did end up with the Chilean sea bass with pasta in a creamy sauce. It was definitely made with parmesan. The pasta itself was al dente (well made and not overdone). My husband had the chicken marsala and was very happy. He wanted me to try it but I told him I couldn't since it had flour (Gioia told me they could always accommodate the marsala for me if I wanted it in the future). That's precious. I thanked her for that. Btw I forgot to mention that they have a QR code for the menu so get ready to try and open that up. We had difficulty only with that though and we had help from a neighboring woman who sent it to my husband's phone. She was a regular and really nice person who had finished eating and was just enjoying a drink with her husband. All in all it was a good night and we got to also chat with two elderly ladies who also were regulars and really kids too. We got to see the owner come out since it was someone's in birthday and it made me laugh to see him with a candle on his head and bringing out the cake for the birthday fellow. I thought that was unique and absolutely adorable. Just know that we highly recommend this Tuscan cuisine and it's made by them personally. They also have a great prep group you get to see in front too. For a busy night I also noticed their one toilet was clean. I am reviewing more here as I wish to let people know the details. Oh and they have a great Chianti and cappuccino too. Our dessert was their cheesecake and that was with blueberry and with amaretto in it. It was so good and even my husband tried some. Yes it was gluten free ...Gioia also checked that before getting it for me. She said they also have almond cookies too and next time I am gonna have to try that. I don't usually go crazy for dessert but this was so tasty and I kind of knew it would be since it's genuinely made with love back there by the owners. I think this family is amazing. Give them a try and don't go if you want to be served in and out like it was fast food. That's not Italian way. I grew up eating Italian foods as I was born there as well as my parents were Croatian and there is a lot of Italian influence over there. Con Amore used to be our favorite restaurant. It felt like a little piece of Italy and somewhere we truly loved going. Sadly, after our last visit, we will not be back. Things had already been slipping lately with slow service, burnt food, and even being served a different pasta than what was ordered without being told. We kept giving it grace because the staff had always been kind and it felt like home. This last visit changed that. After appetizers, I went to order my usual pasta with sausage and was told they were out. No one mentioned this earlier. Because I am allergic to dairy, I asked the server to check what options I could have that were dairy free but still included protein. He returned and told me I could have it with cream sauce. At that point, it was clear my allergy wasn't understood, so I asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager was too busy and it would be a long wait despite the restaurant only having about four or five tables occupied. That response felt incredibly dismissive. I then asked if I could have chicken instead since it was on the menu. Eventually another server came out and said they could put chicken on the side. When I asked if it could simply be added to the pasta so I could eat it together, he told me no and even said there was no point in asking Alfredo because the answer would be no. After years of loyalty, I was sitting there being offered cream despite clearly stating I have a dairy allergy, with no protein option offered even though steak, chicken, and salmon are all on the menu. We asked for the check and left without a meal. Con Amore used to feel like home. Sadly, it no longer does. read more

One of my favorite Italian places! This place is owned by a family and all the food is truly made with love. The fettuccine is homemade so if you get a pasta, sub for fettuccine it's exquisite. However all of the dishes are exceptional and delicious. They rotate the menu based on what's the freshest so if you see: carpaccio, fungi pasta, and the spaghetti and clams definitely try them. The service is always so warm and inviting. While the ambience is romantic. Support this amazing local business and you won't regret it. read more

Excellent service, cute spot with a ton of pretty artwork. The food was amazing! They came highly recommended, and I can see why. I had the Pasta ai Fungi (vegetarian), but my family loved the Lobster Ravioli and the SPICY Pasta alla Arrabiata (vegetarian). Two of us may or may not have indulged in a mountain of fresh parm . We had Mother's Day lunch here. It was a little fun trying to find it because it's tucked in a corner by the movie theater but it was well worth it. It's a family owned and operated restaurant. The ambiance is cozy, very Italian and just overall comfortable. The owner was very attentive, funny and just a very cool character. Now let's talk about the food. Wow. Everything that we got was absolutely delicious. I mean flavors were popping. The chef who is also the owners wife, knows Italian cuisine but then she's Italian so it's authentic. Like no Alfredo sauce because that's not Italian. You learn something new everyday. The fettuccine is made with a lobster cream sauce. The food came out piping hot which I absolutely loved. Hey, I like my food hot when it's supposed to be hot. This place has definitely taken over as my number 1 spot for authentic Italian cuisine. My company comes here for dinner every year as the owner Alfredo is a fantastic host. He's so funny and friendly. Food is amazing and feels like it's a home cooked meal. I didn't know what to get as my main course and he chose a sea bass dish that was excellent. Great wines and in the charcuterie board had special olives that paired well with the wine. There's genuinely no words I can use to describe how incredible this restaurant is. I've put off coming here for years because I've been so let down by other local businesses making flavorless, bad quality food. I regret the years I've missed out on eating at this place. I came with my husband, and then came back a few days later with my mom and sister because I wanted them to taste how incredible the food was. The olive oil is practically oozing out of the focaccia bread. The pasta absorbs the flavors of the sauce as it's meant to. The desserts have the perfect amount of sweetness. If you're someone who genuinely loves quality and flavor in their food, Con Amore is unbeatable. The vibe is so versitile. Date night, meetings, hanging out with friends, or simply wanting to grab a bite to eat, whatever you want. The food takes a bit to come out but it's because everything is made from scratch. Do they run out of things? Yes, because they make everything from scratch. It is rare to find a place that focuses on quality and not quantity and I love this about them. Does it take a little bit longer to get a server's attention? Yes, but it's not because of laziness or poor customer service. The employees are very kind and are constantly on the move. Con Amore is hands down the most authentic Italian food around the Corona area. Alfredo and his family have completely elevated doing a date night at the Crossings and they are wonderful, kind hearted people. We make sure to come here for special occasions and date nights without the kids - and each time my wife and I go here, he personally greets us and remembers us like we go there every week. I read a lot of reviews for restaurants in Corona CA. I'm not from this area so I depend on reviews to help guide and choose. The restaurant itself is colorful but not really filled with love, tables and chairs put in weird and awkward locations and it just feels like a blank slate with too much art work. Although the artwork was nice I felt like I was not in an Italian restaurant. The menu- so I eat a lot of Italian food at least 2 meals a week. I didn't know half the stuff on the menu, there is no explanations or anything so we spent 1/2 our time googling the menu.... They also have only 1 salad to choose from and a big one for me is that there is no bread served with dinner- now maybe y'all are ok with no bread and butter but I really look forward to a good piece of bread and real butter! also their pastas none of them can you add chicken too. So when you google your pasta you're literally getting a bowl of pasta, and sauces. So if you don't eat red meat or fish then you eat no protein. The chicken Marsala I ordered came with just veggies, and the sauce even though the consistency was on point the sauce was way too sweet- so not being able to eat the whole thing because bite after bite it was mouthfuls of sugar and or a sweetness from the wine that was too overpowering. The pasta we ordered was really good, we ordered the lemon one- but it was pasta, in a lemon sauce and some cherry tomatoes. Let's just say we ate at 5pm and by 8 everyone was hungry again. Overall if this place has a 4.9 review I'm wondering who has really eaten here and gave it that high of a score? Or maybe they just don't know great Italian food? This is by far the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Food was barely warm, so many items on the menu weren't available so I was forced to get a random pasta dish I didn't want. Very average tasting food, nothing special at all, I actually prefer macaroni grill down the street. I met Alfredo who seems like a very arrogant, stuck up man. He tried to appear nice while talking to my group, but it seemed like he was making forced nice, almost sarcastic banter. It's worth mentioning that a lot of the 5 star reviews sound really similar and there are a lot of yelp elites reviewing this restaurant. I suspect fake good reviews for free or discounted food. A lot of the accounts also have very few reviews which is a red flag. Do yourself a favor and make the half an hour drive to north Orange County to find plenty of great family owned Italian restaurants. Unfortunately Corona just doesn't have a lot of quality restaurants. Con Amore tries to portray a good image but the 1 and 2 star reviews are the real reviews that display the true character of Alfredo and his sad excuse for a restaurant. read more

I LOVE this restaurant! I ordered the appetizers (focaccia bread, and the prosciutto with mozzarella), the sea bass, and the caramel bread pudding. I have never had a sea bass that delicious! It had a crispy outside, while the inside melted in my mouth. The sauce for it was a lobster sauce, and absolutely delicious. It came served over roasted mixed vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, potato, carrot, etc). I asked for a recommendation of a wine paring, and was offered a white wine that was a mix between a sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, and perfect with the bass. I would recommend this restaurant for a really fantastic meal. The ambiance is casual, but nice. The game was playing on the television in the background. OMG! This is a hidden gem! Literally located in the corner of the shopping center & I'm so happy we found it! The food is authentic Italian and delicious!!
