I love this place, the food. Old school vibe. This is why my family and I keep coming back. But I do feel they need to work on training some people a little more. Our server today for breakfast was nice. There is a guy who I think is the busser and last time got us drinks to go, he's a team player for sure. The server came to the table, didn't introduce herself, ask how are we doing or if we've been there before. Anything. Straight to "are you ready to order?" It could be that she is new or was never trained properly. We had to ask for napkins, boxes, etc. which a guest should never have to ask you for. You know if someone if done eating and there's food on the table, you can ask if we need boxes. Everyone who eats needs napkins. Little things like that matter. I didn't give the lady a good tip specifically because every-time we asked her something, she either forgot or seemed like it was an inconvenience for her to get it. When she gave us our bill, I wanted a coffee to go and a to-go cup for my soda but she gave the bill and walked away so she didn't give me the opportunity to even ask. Which to me, I work in the restaurant industry and going the extra mile to ask if I wanted drinks to go would've made a huge impact. I will come back for the food and vibe, but giving excellent service is not hard if you really care and love what you do. I spotted an Instagram post hyping this diner's gangster‑mobster vibe, and honestly, that was all the convincing I needed. I grabbed the Wife, and off we went to Goodfellas. The building itself is modest and cute, but the moment we stepped inside, it was like walking onto a movie set. Mobster‑themed merch everywhere. Vintage photos, iconic shots from Goodfellas, The Godfather, and every other cinematic ode to organized crime. Even the staff were dressed for the part. Waiters, busboys, hostesses all sporting sharp, dapper suits that matched the whole diner‑slash‑restaurant aesthetic. Now, the food? Generous portions and genuinely delicious. I couldn't decide between the waffle combo, breakfast burrito, or egg sandwich, so I went with the waffle. Solid choice. The Wife ordered diced ham and eggs, complete with sliced potatoes, country biscuits, and gravy. My bacon and sausage were perfectly cooked, the waffle looked and tasted great, and everything hit the table like the kitchen was showing off. Our waitress, Yessie, was attentive, funny, and even shared a little backstory about Goodfellas. Turns out she and her family, are regulars. That personal touch sealed the deal. Driving back to LA from Temecula, we stumbled upon this gem of a place. We were in the mood for brunch/breakfast, and GoodFella's absolutely came through. The restaurant is spacious, and the walls are decorated with photos of old Hollywood stars and classic scenes from The Godfather, The Sopranos, and Goodfellas. The menu is extensive -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for everyone. I ordered the ham steak and eggs with home-fried potatoes and biscuits. My ham steak was huge with a nice char that gave it a smoky flavor. The biscuits were light and delicious. My daughter had the French toast and said it was so good that she could only eat half of it because the portion was generous. My husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich and appreciated the hearty amount of meat. My only tiny wish is that they advertised that they serve sparkling wine -- I would have definitely ordered a mimosa! But that's just me, and it didn't take away from the experience at all. Let's start with the food. I ordered off the traditional breakfast portion of the menu. Today, I ordered polish sausage and eggs ($18.95) and my friend ordered bacon and eggs ($17.95). The traditional breakfasts include eggs your way; your choice of side including: potatoes (home fries or hash browns), cottage cheese, or fruit; and your choice of toast, pancake, or biscuits and gravy. Today I ordered the polish sausage with scrambled eggs, home fries, and sourdough toast. My meal came out warm and quick. The food itself was delicious and a large portion. Honestly, I could have had split with my friend. The service has always been consistently good at GoodFellas. The waiter was attentive and kept checking in on us to see if we were ready to order and continually filled our waters. While the waters do not engage in small talk, they are quick and attentive with their customers. Goodfellas does get busy on the weekends, but during the week there's no wait. Don't come here if you hate yourself or come if you don't. Don't let me tell you what to do. Everything was out of this world. Alfredo sauce was perfectly creamy and seasoned. The beefeater omg this sandwich. The beef was the most tender I've ever had, and the au jus totally elevated each bite but the sandwich is already great without it. The soups were a great starter! Can't go wrong with the vegetable or lentil soup. Lastly the mozzarella sticks again were some of the best. Cheese pull game was strong. The service was amazing and we're happy the servers had opinions on the food and was able to speak to the dishes. Nothing to say but good things about this place. The name is exactly what it means. The place was packed when we got there on a Saturday around 12:30 pm. We were seated in a reasonable period of time and were glad to see that they offered a lot of breakfast items. The menu is extensive, from large-portion appetizers to full-on steak and other dinners. I decided on a 4 egg Mediterranean omelette. It comes with dual side options and I got the hash browns and pancakes. This place does not play when it comes to portions. I am a hearty eater who is trying to watch it with my mid-life but it was so delicious and lots to take home. Delicious olives, pepper, onions, mozzarella cheese ( comes w/salami and I opted out) . The plate was enough to easily feed two if not three, w/plenty of leftovers for another meal or two. Apparently they are known for their portions. The waitress was great, checked on us often. I ordered a coffee and it was probably the best restaurant coffee I have had. Ambiance was busy, large diner, mobby atmosphere, lots of memorabilia on the walls - see my video attached to this review. The menu has so many amazing sounding items on it and what I will try next is the 11oz chicken fried steak, available in a breakfast or a dinner. I recently tried GoodFella's Cafe while on a drive home from Corona (I don't live in the area). My friends and I loved how they really nailed it on the theme. The memorabilia in the entry way was pretty impressive too. Our server was really upbeat and friendly. We ordered a bunch of food and had a lot of left overs. We got the Rat Pack Sampler, Club Sandwich, Grilled Cheese and Fries. Everything was pretty good - think diner style. It didn't blow us out of the water, but was still good. I think the biggest pull here is all the photo-worthy areas. Also, it's always fun to try a restaurant you don't normally have in your area. It may not be the most viral, but it is definitely the most consistent with a full parking lot and a wait during peak breakfast hours. The food here never fails to exceed our expectations, especially when it comes to portion sizes. While some people may not love huge portions, I personally enjoy being able to turn one meal into two. Goodfellas is a place my family and friends have consistently visited over the years, and the service is always friendly. The restaurant has a strong, well-executed theme that fits the Goodfellas name, with a gritty, old-school mob-style vibe that adds to the experience. I was surprised that I had never heard of this place as being a fan of the movie! So glad we did. It's not about the money--it's about basic respect and customer service. We came here for brunch as a family after church. On my second bite into my breakfast burrito, I pulled out a chunk of hair dangling from the sausage. It was completely disgusting, and I immediately spit it out. While our waiter was incredibly sweet, apologetic, and professional, the owner's reaction was the exact opposite. When my fiancé explained to the owner what happened, he showed absolutely zero remorse, acting as if we had somehow planted the hair ourselves. He literally waved his hand in a dismissive "get to the point, what do you want?" gesture. It was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and insulting. The only reason we kept our calm in the face of that treatment was for the sake of our kids sitting at our table. I couldn't get replacement meal as I felt sick to my stomach, so the owner just took my plate off the bill along with my fiancé's place as you could not eat as well. But removing a ruined plate is the bare minimum--a situation like this deserved a genuine apology and some actual consideration. That would've been enough for us to be OK with an incident like this that we understand can happen. It was the owners reaction that was extremely disappointing to us as customers. We were very respectful in our approach and felt very undeserving of that kind of treatment. We won't be returning. A little professionalism and human decency go a long way, and this place completely lacked it in the management level. read more

The hostess was very stern--no smile, just "how many?" followed by "I have a table shortly," said in a pretty condescending tone. Not exactly welcoming. Our server wasn't much better. Our table was missing creamer for the coffee. We asked twice and still never got it. I eventually had to flag down another server, and we ended up grabbing creamer from a nearby table ourselves. Now, the food--that's a different story. Everything came out piping hot and in huge portions. The waffle was crispy and fluffy. The sausages were tender and tasted fresh. The bacon could've been a bit crispier, but it was still good. The ham on my husband's plate was massive--it nearly took over the plate, and the plate was already big. My daughter ordered fried shrimp with fries and mozzarella sticks, and everything was good. And seriously, it was all hot--like it came straight to us, not sitting under heat lamps. That said, the service really took away from the experience. Coffee was never refilled. When we asked for water, we were given one glass... for three people. We just ended up sharing. By that point, my husband was clearly annoyed. He wanted to enjoy his food, but the lack of service made it frustrating. Food is good, no doubt. But the service definitely needs work. We were with a pregnant woman and a diabetic who needed to eat, so waiting any longer simply wasn't an option. What made the situation worse was the attitude from the staff. Multiple employees even informed the person at the counter that we had been waiting for a long time, and her response was literally "oh well." When we finally decided to leave and politely asked to be taken off the list, she made a point to respond rudely with a dismissive "okay." The frustrating part is that the food here is usually great and we've had positive experiences before. But good food doesn't excuse bad service or a lack of basic customer care.
