The waitress was super accommodating and listened well- Also, Cannataro's was easy to find, and park at. Paying the bill was easy-electronic at the table. We never felt rushed or taken for granted. Don't buy from here on doordash. They're gonna try to tell you that alfredo sauce needs to settle, yet the "Alfredo" is 90% oil. They said it needs to settle, I've never seen alfredo be 90% oil and not a lick of cream. I've been to you guys in person. I've bought from you on doordash. At this point, just get off doordash. You disappoint me. They are in the trend of charging more for slop like mcdonalds. This is their exit strategy. They're trying to squeeze as much as they can for the little amount of love they put into their food. You're better off with cooking your own Fettuccine and hearing up some rao's. It has been a while since we've been have been in. We no longer live close so if we're ever in the neighborhood, we'd definitely make an appointment to stop in. We happen to be on the 60 freeway and said hey you know what it's dinner time let's stop in for some amazing Italian food. Why are we glad we did. It was a Friday night, but we got there early and we beat the Rush. Like always the service was over the top Great. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and the wife ordered baked ziti. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm really sad to write this review about our experience here. This is mostly regarding our experience, and not the food. The service was terrible, we couldn't even grab our waitress to refill our water. We had to ask someone else to bring us utensils and napkins, we were only given 2 sets for 4 people. When our appetizers were served, some of the food was spilled onto the table. The food was not as good as it used to be. The starter plate had calamari, mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini. Two of us got salads with our entrees, and the other two got soup. Parts of our salad were spilled onto the table while it was served which was disappointing. The minestrone was salty. The wedding soup was ok. The tricolored tortellini with sun-dried tomato sauce was oily. In the starter entree (chicken parm, lasagna and fettuccine), flavor was ok. The shrimp ravioli seemed the best. The chicken marsala was served seemingly drenched in oil. The worst part, for a party of 4, after we received our bill, our waitress tried auto-adding 25% gratuity to our bill and was disappointed when we asked her how to change the tip. I understand tipping while eating out and doing so appropriately but we were a table of 4, and on top of that we had terrible service and food spillage. Most restaurants charge 18-20% for larger parties, and again, we were a party of 4. If we hadn't paid attention to the bill, we would not even have noticed the auto gratuity of 25%. Other tables, either small or bigger, had better service than we did. Highly recommend being detail oriented when paying your bill. 1/5 -- Disappointing experience, twice This was our second time ordering takeout from Cannataro's, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. Our first experience was very negative, but we decided to give the restaurant another chance. We wish we hadn't. We ordered two Papa-sized calzones but received one Papa and one Mama. They also got the fillings wrong. We ordered one with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives, but they put jalapeños in it instead of black olives. That's a pretty significant mistake, especially for someone who doesn't like or can't tolerate spicy food. On top of the incorrect order, neither calzone was even placed in a bag for a takeout order. The food is extremely overpriced for what you receive, and the staff was incredibly rude and provided very poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but when you're charging these prices, getting the size and ingredients correct, properly packaging a takeout order, and treating customers courteously should be the bare minimum. We gave Cannataro's a second chance after a bad first experience, and unfortunately, the second experience confirmed that we won't be returning. read more

Have been here many times throughout the years and let me just say.... The food stay bomb and didn't need any work but the staff was the hot mess. They have gotten much better from what I just saw. Went today on a random Monday date night with hubby after massages and staff paid attention to us upon arrival and our waitress (wish I got her name) was awesome. This review is for take out. First, they have a great selection of items, mostly Italian, however lots of other dishes. We ordered two main dishes, with sides, and desert. 1. Meatball sandwich. This came with a pasta salad, and we shared an order of garlic bread. I also hot the chocolate mouse cake. I must say the meatball sandwich was perfect. The pasta salad great as well as the decadent chocolate cake. 5/5 for me. 2. My friend got the lemon herb chicken with veggies, and for desert, the canoli. She loved both. Chicken fettuccine with broccoli also tasted like an overwhelming amount of butter. Soups were minestrone and wedding, both decent. The berry salad is amazing, good job on that. The garlic knot bread tasted under baked and old. Chocolate mouse cake is expensive for the price. Small sliver for $9, yikes. It seems even after 8 years passing, this place is still the same. $90 in food and a wife throwing up at time of writing this review. What are the odds of another off day 8 years later . It was a 15 minute wait till we were sat down and when we sat down we were immediately served by a great server (shame I never asked her name, I really need to be better about that). The service was amazing she was very attentive and made the dinner best it could be. For the starters we got the jalapeño artichoke dip and breaded zucchini. The dip was amazing with a kick of spice from the jalapeño. The breaded zucchini was nothing special but was great. For the entree my fiance had the chicken Marsala and I got the baked ziti. Why did it take me so long to visit? This is an awesome hidden gem for some great food. Lots of seating inside booth or tables. Booths are more intimate great for date nights. Back section has chair seating for larger groups. Lunch menu has a good selection great for sharing and trying more entrees. Pasta comes with soup or salad. First round of bread is on the house. Any additional are $2 for a half and $4 for a whole. Go for the whole! And add a sauce for dipping while ur at it. Soup was comforting and flavorful, Spinach pasta was tasty with that red sauce. Embarrassing--there's really no other way to put it. I'm extremely disappointed in the service. I've been coming here for years, since 2015, and the experience has clearly gone downhill. We waited over an hour and a half, only to be told there were no tables available, while more than 20 people were seated ahead of us. I've heard amazing things about Cannataro's and this restaurant definitely lived up to my expectations! Cannataro's is a family owned Italian joint with your traditional Italian fare. It is a cozy little place and very popular. Seats fill up fast so definitely come early if you can! You're served a complimentary basket of Italian bread when you order which was delicious! We also ordered the garlic bread knots for the table with a side of marinara. They were also very delicious! It was hard to pick between an entree or just ordering a pizza for the table but we opted for entrees. The next hard part was picking which entree to get when everything sounded so good! Your entree comes with a choice of soup or salad. I got the salad with Italian dressing and it was the perfect starter to my meal. I ordered the baked pesto penne and it was very tasty! Roast beef with melted cheese and red onions on a toasted sandwich bread. Delicious! They were pretty busy on this day, being Veterans day so food did take some time but was worth it! Open only 20 years? How can that be? I feel like we've been coming here forever. And it never fails us. Tonight's meal was superb. As always, I tend to lean towards their Chicken Marsala, but tonight's was by far the best I've ever eaten anywhere. They accommodated me by switching the pasta side for sauteed spinach. Definitely do this! It's unbelievably heavenly. I do believe the portion sizes were even bigger than I remember, too. Enough leftovers to have at least one more meal. Mr. B's Clam Linguini is his go-to dish here. There are so many chopped clams in a beautiful sauce. You can't go wrong. And then there is the buttery toasted garlic bread. Crunchy crust , soft in the middle. A complete temptation, and by far the best for sopping up that amazing Marsala sauce. Our entire family swears by Cannataros. Stopped by for some late dinner with my husband. Stuffed mushrooms as the appetizer. Delicious! We got complimentary garlic bread, very buttery. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza in medium for the both of us but it was a lot. I should have ordered the small. The pizza was so good! I can't wait to come back and try their other pizzas. We were a party of six people. The server failed to inform us he auto-added a gratuity for 25% to the bill. I not only paid the 25% but on top of that paid a tip of 20%. Typically, a restaurant will add a gratuity of 18% to 20% for large parties. At the very least, we should have been informed of the auto-gratuity. I'd never been to the physical restaurant before but ordered delivery from there several times. The place is warm and cozy. There are lots of booths which I love. Seems like it's been there such a long time. It's in a small strip mall and there was adequate parking. We were quoted a wait of 15 min but we were seated as soon as a table became available. Our server was reserved and forgot a couple of things. She offered red or white sauce for our calamari and I told her I wanted both. She didn't bring both out and when I asked her for the white sauce, it took a while. Not to mention, she charged me for it but didn't tell me there would be an additional charge. The food. Wow!! The house bread is so flavorful and buttery!! We ordered calamari, garlic knots, salmon Alfredo and carbonate. All of it was so so so yummy! The pasta is al dente and the sauce so delicious.
