This restaurant is hidden in the far corner of a shopping center. Most of the stores there don't get much traffic except for this restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there's a nice Italian theme going on. The service is subpar but the food is good. The young waitress we had forgot our oil/vinegar and when we asked for something, she never stopped acknowledged us and just walked by quickly. The older waitresses were nice and stopped by and asked if we needed anything. 1. Linguine Carbonara - This is a must have dish. The mushrooms and bacon are the primary flavor. Nice mix of salty, creamy, and rich. DO NOT MICROWAVE the next day though. You'll be surprised how much oil separates from the sauce. 2. Lasagna - Average tasting lasagna. Not bad, not that great either. 3. Fettuccini - The fettuccini here is amazing. Well salted and creamy. 4. Spicy Calamari - Average calamari, what makes it spicy are the fried jalapeno peppers. 5. Tiramisu - Great desert to finish the night. The lady fingers were too grainy and well combined. read more

We have driven past this restaurant probably hundreds of times over the years and I finally said to my husband that we should try it. We did on Wednesday late afternoon before Thanksgiving. We arrived around 3:30ish and Kerri seated and served us. My husband ordered the Sampler Platter which included Chicken Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. I had the Cannelloni Supremo. Both dishes were excellent! Full of flavor and definitely made with a lot of love. Our server Kerri was Amazing! She was patient with us as it was our first time and didn't hesitate answering all of our questions. She was super friendly, bubbly, quick with service and we had a lot of fun with her! She even brought us a piece of the Homemade Tiramisu stating we had to try it and it was to die for. My husband, who doesn't really care for Tiramisu, ate it and loved it! Today, Saturday, came along and my husband decided we needed to go back and try their pizza because they make their own dough and sauce. So, we went around 4:00pm and it was a little busy, but we were seated right away. Kerri wasn't working so Eli served us. He was super friendly, very polite, personable and quick with service as well. We ordered a Medium Cannataro's Special Pizza and a large house salad to share. The salad was fresh and delicious and their balsamic vinaigrette is bomb! The pizza came out piping hot and fresh from the oven and let me tell you they do not skimp on the toppings! Our pizza was LOADED with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, red onions, mushrooms, green bell peppers, olives, garlic and of course cheese. I could only eat 2 pieces and was full but I didn't feel stuffed and heavy. Usually when eating pizza I feel heavy like there is a brick in my stomach, but not with this pizza! It wasn't greasy at all and the crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom but soft when biting into it. The pizza is perfection!! By the time we were leaving the place was packed and there was a long line of people waiting. The inside of the restaurant is quaint, cozy, clean and nicely lit. If you're like us and have passed by this restaurant numerous times definitely take the time to stop in, I promise you will not be disappointed. This is our new go to spot for Italian!!! read more

The food presentation was honestly nice everything looked really good when it came out. But sadly the taste didn't match the visuals. We ordered the Little Italy pizza which was super cheesy and loaded with tomatoes but not much flavor beyond that. The Linguini Pescatore was the biggest letdown. It was bland with zero seasoning. I actually had to go home and add salt, pepper, and tomato sauce just to make it edible. They did give complimentary garlic bread and wedding soup, which was a nice gesture, but the soup was way too salty. I don't mind paying more especially being in Chino. But if the food is going to be on the pricier side, it should at least taste good. Overall everything looked better than it tasted. I don't think I will come back again as there are more better Italian restaurants that are good ! read more

This place holds a special place in my heart as it was my first date spot with my now wife. Everytime we go we are able to try something new that we enjoy, but we also stick to some things that are consistently good. Their hot sausage add one to any pasta dish is to die for. We also enjoy their stuffed mushrooms as well as the wedding soup option that comes with the meal. If you order out, ordering directly from the restaurant you get the soup or salad that you would not get ordering from a third party delivery place. The staff is always kind despite always being really busy. I am so glad they are opened on Sundays now as we use to crave coming here on Sundays only to find out it was closed. Definitely a nice budget mom and pop Italian Restaurant that I recommend to family and friends. read more

I used to come here with my parents as a kid and decided to place a takeout order because I'm in town for the holidays... the lady in the front was so rude :( I asked if they do bread and butter and she cut me off rudely and just said "no" okay... ? So I came on yelp to see they do actually have garlic bread, that looks amazing actually.. And I wish she would have said they had bread as an option even if it was to purchase? Such a great local family owned Italian spot! Who doesn't love carb galore? Service is amazing, very relaxing and perfect for a romantic date night. They unfortunately need to train their staff to pack to-go orders better. We've order to-go twice and both times something happened. Our first take out order we had a large order and had 4 soups. They stacked all the soups on top of one another, by the time we got home one of the lids cracked and the entire bag was filled with soup. Luckily the bag seams weren't coming apart otherwise we would have a puddle of soup in the car. Stuffed Mushrooms- amazing, broiled to perfection giving the cheese a crisp layer. Came here with my husband for our anniversary. The food was great and the service was friendly. It's been a couple years since we had been there but the ambiance was still nice. My only warning for you is that if you're looking to go some place quickly, this isn't it. The place was PACKED on a Thursday evening and we spent in total about an hour and a half there. We ate quickly; it was just a long wait to get seated. The waitress was very busy but very kind. We really like it here! I absolutely love Cannataros. For many years, it's been a local favorite family owned Italian place. Great food, but please know it's not a pretentious place. If you're a dandy gentrified nouveau riche kinda person who swears by Eataly or North Italian.... Then Cannataros isn't for you. Whether lunch or dinner, you can sit down, have great no-nonsense Italian with fast attentive service at a great price even during inflationary times! The pasts I had I would not order because the salmon was not tasty but the pizza is the best along with spaghetti sauce! Reasonable prices! It's a good thing that they have a platter that has three of their most delicious menu items. I hadn't had real authentic Italian since my ex's Sicilian mother passed away. Warning: if you eat here, all other Italian restaurants will taste like fast food. The owners daughter was very helpful. and told us the story of the restaurant. They do have certain discounts like military and senior AARP. the restaurant is very comfortable and welcoming. note to self, never wear new white shirt unless I have a bib. (I loved that shirt) Okay, so I did find one flaw. they put bourbon in the creme brulee. I mean lots of bourbon. I love creme brulee but can't have alcohol, also what about children who want it? Came for the 2 for $30 which is falsely advertised on facebook ugh each entree coming with a choice of salad or soup, entree (limited), and dessert. It says each entree comes with one dessert but it only comes with one dessert for the two entrees and you only have a select option if 2 items. Not the biggest deal, but what compelled me to write a review is that my family loved this place for years and it's sad to see the quality of the food go down. In addition to not being to get ahold of anyone on the phone with all of the numbers listed on their website and yelp, we called each number 3 times...it was mainly the food that disappointed. The soup was my favorite but now it sooo salty and the portions are very small (the two soups this meal came with filled up my standard bowl at home 1/2 of the way). The baked ziti was also way too salty and the garlic bread tasted like very old oil. So bummed we loved this place read more

A lovely and cozy Italian spot! Was home visiting for the weekend and we happened upon this place thanks to Yelp! PARKING: Plenty of space in this small plaza off the freeway. AMBIANCE: It's a cute restaurant with booths and tables. There were a few large parties so that's nice they can accommodate that. It has a small area for waiting inside so it can get a bit crowded but otherwise cozy Italian is the vibe. FOOD: We ordered the calamari and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. Calamari was light and crispy with marinara sauce and overall a solid dish. The mushrooms were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. It was stuffed with meat so a little heavier than what I anticipated. I ordered the Rigatoni which was so good. Creamy sauce with a good helping of sausage and spinach. It was a pretty large portion too. My family ordered the Pomodoro with shrimp which was light and flavourful especially with the tomatoes. We love a good tomato moment. We also had the Linguini Pescatore which was very good. The seafood was cooked well and generous, and the sauce was so tasty. All the pastas were cooked well, nothing overcooked. Come hungry because the pastas came with your choice of soup or salad and they gave us garlic bread. SERVICE: We got our food SO quickly. Speedy service. Attentive waitress who refilled my drink and checked in on us a couple times throughout the dinner. No helicopter servers here. Really friendly overall. Good sign when you show up on a Tuesday night and it's busy. Ordered their Strawberry margarita which was light and delicious. The Pasta e fagioli may be a bit salty for some but I found it tasty and ate it all up. I really enjoyed the Linguine Pescatore and substituted out the marinara for a light garlic butter sauce.
