Would've gave 4 stars but please read below. Here's are the negatives about this restaurant: - They do not answer their phone for phone orders. The one time they did for me, they put me on hold and never got back to me. I drove there and pulled into the lot listening to the employee chatting with customers coworkers the whole drive there. - Their business hours are not very friendly because they close at 7pm. Who closes at 7pm? - Their business is closed every Wednesday. (Just like Chick-Fil-Fil, who we all want on Sundays when they're closed). - Most of the time, the wait in line and the wait for your food can take longer than you'd expect. Can't come here if you have any kind of time issue. - Obvious staffing issue. You have plenty of customers. Having one more employee would provide better and faster service. Tried Marisco El Puerto for the first time and loved it! I ordered the pescado (fish) taco and the tostada ceviche de camarón (shrimp). Both were so delicious. My friend got the asada (steak) taco and said it was just as tasty. We went with corn tortillas and they were perfect. You order at the counter, get a number, and seat yourself. Heads up, parking is very limited so plan ahead during rush hour. They serve lemon instead of lime with your food which was different but still good. read more

Mariscos El Puerto has become our weekly go to. We love the fish fillet with grilled shrimp. My wife gets it with garlic butter, mine are medium spicy à la diabla! They come with grilled onions and bell peppers, similar to fajitas. Delicious either way you like them. We never hesitate to get a shrimp cocktail and ceviche too. The employees are nice and the cooks work hard. It's a hole in the wall, family owned business that is really busy. It can get messy inside because of the abundance of customers, but they quickly tend to the tables and clean the up for you. You want authentic? Come and get it. Highly recommended. read more

I don't know where to start with this place, first of all the food pick up by the door is the worst placement i have ever seen in a restaurant the people walking in are bumping into the people picking up their orders and the people who are still ordering but they can easily put the pick up on the other side where the table with hot sauce and one napkin box is taking so much space smh! This place is a hidden GEM! The staff are so sweet and hardworking. I come here all the time. There was a very entitled review left here by Wouldyie G. - complaining about them not answering their phone and how they/he/she had to wait in line and ** gasp** they close on wednesday and blah blah blah. Its a small family owned business with a small staff. They don't have the capacity to roll out the red carpet for every customer. They are busy for a reason! Everyone is usually pretty nice so no need to feel bad about walking by people. It's a small shop but they are pretty popular so there's a lot of people who are there. At least that's what I saw when I was there. We got our food after the called our order number and it was actually pretty good. It may not look very quality but it is. The beans were pretty watery but we didn't eat them anyways. We all had a good time here and the food was decent and the drinks are HUGE! We called them fishbowls ! Came by for lunch while attending a meeting in Chino. I had seen reviews on Yelp and brought a few coworkers with me. Each of them thought all the food was great. Service was quick and warm. I ordered the fish tacos combo with 3 tacos. You can order 2 or 3 tacos with the combo. I would've liked to have had the option to get a combo plate with fish and asada tacos to try them out. I guess I could've ordered them a la carte. The beans and the rice were also tasty. The restaurant has this mom and pop vibe which is good. After placing your order at the counter, they provide you with a number. We ordered the fish filet and shrimp and the shrimp with rice and fries. Both orders were fantastic. The filet was cooked perfectly with just enough charring. The shrimp was grilled and buttery. Both plates also came with a small side salad; also very good. Regarding the service, it was fantastic. The place is a nice little quaint dining area. They need to set it up a different way because the line goes right through the seating area, but the food is delicious and fresh. This small location packs a punch! If you dig fish tacos, shrimp tacos or Carne asada tacos, this location will not disappoint. I've been coming here for years and their service has always been great. I'm glad customers kept them alive during covid!
