I really love the food from here. The Culiacán style is my favorite mariscos. This place is cash only so make sure you plan accordingly or you can use the ATM inside. We ordered the Cazuelita Mixta and a cooked shrimp plate. Both were excellent. The waitresses did a good job asking if we needed anything and the food came out pretty quickly. When searching for another Mariscos spot in the area, we found Maricos El Rafa. Mariscos El Rafa is located in a small strip mall near the 60 Freeway in Chino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is clean but disjointed with half of the space having little lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can tell the owner made an effort to make the interior as welcoming as possible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It should also be noted the business only accepts cash. Regarding the food, we had the crab salad, breaded shrimp, and tilapia. The latter two entrees came with rice and beans. The breaded shrimp was good, and the tilapia had little taste. On the topic of taste, the refried beans were very average, and the rice was hard and contained several clumps. The crab appeared to be imitation and was served on a styrofoam plate. I really wanted to like this place I got a tostada de agua chile and it tasted bland. My boyfriend ordered shrimp soup which also had no flavor and they used canned veggies.. & If you want water, you need to purchase it! They didn't check on us which is fine because we really didn't need anything (Waitresses seemed nice while taking our order) Overall very disappointing experience because of the lack of flavor in their food ! This is the first time that we sat down and ate at this establishment. We have always picked up tubs of Mariscos to go for our family functions, the Mariscos were really delicious. Dinner tonight was good, Coctel Maleficio Aguachile, callo de hacha, this was made of Aguachile, shrimp, and scallops, and was delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it. The tacos de Camarón were also very good. The service was great. The young lady that waited on us was courteous, friendly and attentive. The structure is medium in size with plenty of tables and chairs and booths to sit down and enjoy your meal. The prices are fairly reasonable in line with other establishments of its kind. There's plenty of parking with the handicap stalls near the front entrance. read more

Was craving seafood, I saw this place closed at 8pm. I walked in at 7:14 and the girl said they were closed for dine in and are only handing out pick up orders. Seriously, you cant order to go? This should be listed on their website. (Order ahead, after 7 no dine in option) but nothing. Very disappointed in this lack of customer service. I wanted to try this place because I love seafood and the pictures on the website looked really good. First negative was that they accept cash only. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then we were served with styrofoam plates and plastic utensils.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered an appetizer that was $30. It was super salty and wasn't worth the price for the small plate. The micheladas were served in plastic cups and super salty as well. Not worth $10.75 . We will definitely not be returning and would not recommend. read more

I haven't done a review in a while as I usually don't have much time after having dinner and getting home late. This time I am going to just because I am a bit upset at the service. However, let me start saying the food was good and delicious. The ambience was ok although we sat next to some men that may have had a bit too many beers and were well a bit loud. I will say if you do visit take cash as they only take cash. They do have an ATM but you know they will charge you for taking money out. Another thing to be mindful and I should mention is to count your change as they were shorting me 10$z . The young lady simply gave me my change real quickly and said GRACIAS, I turned around and started walking out as I dropped the tip in the tip jar. I then proceeded to count my change and turned back and said hey you shorted me? She right away said what 5$! I said yes! And she handed me the 5$ and smirked. All I can say about this is it may have been an accident but be careful and count your change. I think it was not an accident. Just FYI. I will be going back but I guarantee I will be more careful on counting my change and hope I get better service. read more

The cazuelita was really fresh and good the pulpo was super fresh some places don't do pulpo too well but everything was clean and fresh. Was looking for Sunday dinner and decided to try this place for the first time…read more I went for the 2 taco combo with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, both breaded. The combo came with rice, beans, and a fountain drink. After I paid i noticed that they have fountain Pepsi, but only canned coke. Not sure if you can ask for canned coke instead of a fountain drink without an additional charge but I personally prefer coke over Pepsi. I decided to get dr. Pepper since I had a fountain drink cup. What I do like is you can get some lemon, onions, and chili peppers from the condiment bar. I like chili peppers and appreciate these are free whereas I have had to pay extra for a bag of 3 elsewhere. There are also an assortment of packaged sauces as well as their prepared sauces such as Chipotle and green/red salsa. The portion sizes here are good. I took the food home to eat and was pretty full by the time I ate one taco. The condiments enhanced the meal. Rice and beans were fine. For $14 total its not a bad deal. I think if I didn't do takeout and ate at the restaurant, my breaded fish would not be soggy. However, the flavor was there. I would return to try their ceviche as that looked pretty fresh!

The portion size was generous--perfect for sharing with my sister. One thing to note is that the restaurant is cash only, which was a bit inconvenient, but luckily, we were prepared.
