Was looking for a local spot for dinner and found this on Yelp. Charming little restaurant even though they're undergoing construction. Despite not having a res, we were seated quickly. Shout out to our server, Emily, who was super friendly and helpful with their menu. We advised that we were mildly in a rush and she took care of us. They started us off with an amuse (Italian meats on crostinis). They were yummy! We ordered the Brussel sprouts for app and the Australian wagyu with truffle fries for dinner. Wow! I am so impressed with how tender and juicy the meat was. The seasoning was just right. We got a little side of demi glace to compliment the steak. All were so good! Their menu is updated for the season so I'm looking forward to checking out other entrees at my next visit!

I've lived in the area for over two decades, and Friday night was our first visit to Owen's. The only disappointment was realizing we waited this long to try it--everything was phenomenal. The restaurant is a cozy space with an elegant, rustic charm and beautiful lighting that sets the mood perfectly. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. The last time I was this thoroughly satisfied by a meal was in Europe. The food is simple yet elegant, impeccably high-quality, and bursting with flavor. I have never seen my husband enjoy every bite of a meal the way he did at Owen's. It was a truly memorable dining experience, and we can't wait to return.

We went for our anniversary. I wish they would've asked if it was a special occasion but they didnt. The food was good, bartender was awesome and made awesome drinks. If anything I may come back for drinks only one day. We did think the dmfood was good, especially the deviled eggs. My husband really liked the salmon.

You definitely must stop by when you're in the area. I had the best experience at Owen's Bistro. I celebrated my 1 year anniversary here. It's a friendly environment. Their staff is great. Special thanks to our waitress Emily for her recommendations. The food was amazing, the Tomahawk steak was cooked to our liking. We will definitely visit again soon. We also received a lovely handwritten card congratulating us :)

A friend of ours recommended this place for a date night. We were really impressed honestly! The food was really good. I did the 10 oz filet with fries and my husband did the wagyu with the truffle fries. I've honestly never had fries with my steak and wasn't sure what to expect but it was a really good pairing. We each added asparagus for a vegetable side. For appetizers we did the loaf of bread and the beef tartar. The loaf of bread was warm and had really good fluffy butter. The beef tartar was also excellent. The Gigi's cocktail and old fashioned were very yummy. We had two New York cheesecakes for dinner and they tasted very very good. We were really impressed overall with the service, and the energy. We were constantly checked on and it was a great vibe. Definitely plan on returning!

Wifey wanted to come here last minute so we gave it a shot. The service was good and the ambiance was great. It was in a weird part of Chino, a cute little area, I'm not sure what to call it. It was a bit overpriced, but the food was pretty good. We had a root beer and a wine. We ordered Steak Frites and Boeuf Bourguignon- a beef stew type item with mashed potatoes. A lot of meat and gravy, but could have been some more mashed potatoes. The food was cooked well with good seasonings. Most people sat outside on the patio area not inside. Miguel was good and attentive. The only thing was that when the electronic payment system came it had the tip at 20%. I thought I choose the tip amount based on service and food quality. Overall it was a good experience. I will come back when I want to spend $150-200 for dinner

First let's start with saying this place is definitely worth every penny. Hidden Gem Husband and I had a delicious romantic dinner and the live jazz band was the cherry on top! If you're looking for a chill and good place to enjoy a delicious meal. I totally recommend this place. Dianne our server was 10/10 and provided great customer service. We will back more often. Here's a few pics of our meals.

A great place for a romantic dinner. We've never had anything less than delicious and there is a full bar a good wine list. The menu changes seasonally and there are wine dinners and entertainment frequently scheduled.

My wife and I wanted to do a romantic dinner night close to home, we picked Owen's bistro. First time we have been there I was impressed from the moment we walked in. Nancy the Manager, was extremely friendly helpful and courteous, Jordan our server was helpful in his food recommendations and very attentive. The food was excellent the atmosphere was excellent I would highly recommend this restaurant especially for a romantic dinner night.

This is one of romantic fine dining located in downtown Chino. We were here just because we wish to eat great beef. So my husband ordered Australian Wagyu and I ordered Short Rib over Pasta. First off the Wagyu was so 'stingy' considered it worth of $75, it's only the super tender meat and 3 pieces of potato, could be more generous with some veggie for that price. While the Beef Short Rib Pasta was tender however the sauce was too sour to my opinion. Overall service was great and sweet. We were taken care of well. The "fine dining" concept could be more altered to the point pricey but worthy if they want customers keep coming back again.

A picture of our delicious drinks. Its an old building with so much character and history.

We went for their Summer Supper and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were spot on. Service was excellent the servers were very attentive. The Summer Supper is held in the lounge so it was very nice and semi private.

Really nice restaurant and the chef went out of his way to cook food to our taste and liking. Being a foodie rating restaurant is now my new hobby... Food 5 stars Ambience 5 stars Service 5 stars Except for the turnip soup everything was perfect.

However, Centro Basco still has its Jai Alai ball court & housing which may still be occupied by Basque workers. Centro Basco is big so beyond the main dining room & bar, there are the banquet room and the traditional long table communal hall typically found in Bakersfield, a major Basque center along with Boise, Idaho. We ordered a main and the Aitaxi or set up for $7 since it included Beef Tongue Escabeche which is a Basque signature dish. 1) Lukainka with Sauce Basquaise is a must get. Rough ground pork butt sausage seasoned with salt, black pepper, and garlic. Snappy skin and meaty texture are a pleasure to bite into. Sauce Basquaise on the side is tomato, garlic, olive oil, pimento, onion, white wine. 2) Oxtail Stew is slow braised for hours in red wine and tail bone supplying a fond de cuisine/broth, perfumed with touch of onions & carrots. Bone in the center, with soft, fibrous meat on the outer perimeter. A) Soup: Finely chopped carrots, trace of earthy, lentil flavoured chicken soup accompanied by sour dough bread. B) Beans in a mildly acidic red tomato sauce. C) Beef Tongue is boiled and soft marinated in oil & vinegar. Meaty yet bit fatty, the Escabeche style adds a flavour enhancing gastrique. Garnished with red tomato slices. D) Iceberg Lettuce Salad in oil & vinegar dressing is wilted with unremarkable processed, gummy white cheese slices. E) Spaghetti dressed with seems like a pedestrian, Salsa Bolognese/tomato meat sauce. F) Scalloped Potato: Slices of boiled, starchy potato colored with some yellow orange cheddar and baked in the oven that was like cafeteria food. 1-2a) Standard red wine varietal like a Syrah. 3) Monique's Gateau Basque: Suggested by our newbie server was a great choice. Two layers of a drier sponge cake sandwiching a thick layer of almond flavoured, gooey Crème Pâtisserie/pastry cream. Not cloyingly sweet like many typical American desserts. Down home food for the most part. Standouts were the Lukainka, Beef Tongue Escabeche, Monique's Gateau Basque, and Oxtail Stew for those really into beef where the meat nearest the bone is sweetest. With Basque restaurants in Socal disappearing such as "Jean's French Restaurant, a landmark in Colton, California, that closed after its French Basque owner, Jean Irola, passed away in April 2012." as well as Glendora Continental which is up for sale, it's important to patronize Centro Basco to recognize and preserve Basque culinary heritage. 3+/4- stars
