I called in earlier today to see if they were going to air the football game on Saturday (airing on Amazon prime). Matt helped me out. This man was professional and polite. He said he had to run it up the chain to find out and that he was going to get back to me. He texted me back about 10 minutes later with the answer (yes) and went ahead and booked a reservation for me and my family. What I like about this place is the atmosphere. Cool little spot to chill at. You can also bring your dogs if you sit in the patio. I didn't really do food here. My son did have a steak here which he enjoyed and I brought the baked potato home for the hubs so no complaints there. Service: host was amazing. I accidentally made my reservation for the Costa Mesa location but they were still able to seat us. However our table was in the back corner by the bar and in the line of fire to the kitchen. I think this table should be removed as we kept having to shuffle our seats so wait staff could get by, between our seats and the bar patrons. Our server Faith was lovely! Although I do believe she forgot to put my husbands drink in. He didn't get his drink until about 10 minutes AFTER we got our food, so about 30-40 minutes total. She even came back to ask what drink he ordered, which was a slight red flag. Even a water would've been nice while we waited. Rarely do I see a place not bring waters automatically for folks ordering alcohol. When my husband did get his cocktail they forgot to put the simply syrup in it. It was sent back, but when he got his replacement they didn't put the alcohol in it. Unsure if this was on purpose or accidental...I tasted it just to be sure and he was correct (it was a whiskey based drink and I don't drink liquor and can NOT stand whiskey). She did let us know there was a staff change in the bar at that time. He just got a beer instead after this. They didn't comp his cocktail but to be honest they should've comped the beer as well. He got it as we were paying the bill and ended up having to CHUG it. Food: Kids meals do not include drinks which was crazy to me. With the drinks being additional the kids meals end up being about $15-16 which is pretty steep. The portions are a decent size but at $20-$30 for a sandwich or burger I would hope so. The ribeye was $69! Insane, considering it's more of a burger joint. I got the brisket sandwich and it really lacked flavor, despite having horseradish sauce and Cole slaw. Brisket was tender! But the horseradish sauce was really weak, and overall it just lacked a lot of flavor. My husband said his smash burger was good. The sweet potato fries were good but cost an additional $2 on top of an already $20 sandwich. My daughter got the broccolini and there was a weird taste to it. My daughters loves broccolini but wouldn't even eat it. This was a letdown on her already pricey kids meal. Ambiance: I already discussed the odd seating at the table we had. The music was SO LOUD. There wasn't even a game on but we could barely talk. All of the servers were super friendly though! One odd Thing to mention is the bill. There was an option for card payout or cash. I found it a little sketchy the cash option was LESS than the total with sales tax.my husband suspected it was a card fee but that's not what the breakdown said. it almost looks like the meal would've been discounted for cash. The total came out to $110 plus $9.75 for sales tax. Card payout said $120 but cash said $115. To me this is just shady. Don't even include this as an option.... Overall we would probably skip this place again. The price was steep and our experience left a not so good taste in our mouth. We can get a decent burger or sandwich elsewhere without the price tag and the commute. read more

Definitely like the vibe and the lighting. Not too loud. We had a good server. We were there to celebrate a birthday and our first time. They don't do anything for that but we still had a great time. Appetizers: we got the pretzel bites and the cheese needed to be heated up more it was cold. But still good. The fried pickles were bomb! But again read the room, we were not in a rush we wanted to enjoy appetizers and drinks, our dinner came out too fast. The tacos were good, carne asada. My mushroom burger definitely full of flavor but my sweet potato fries were hot. My husband got the brisket sandwich. He liked it but said the cheese needed to be hotter. He enjoyed the meat. I love that there's a place like this around here. A similar one in the area would be Hero's, but I like this one more. It's got a cozier vibe. The inside isn't as big as I expected. However, they were able to accommodate our large party. We took up two of the long tables in the middle. The servers were really attentive and kept checking up on us. I ordered from their brunch menu and got the avocado toast and a mimosa. Wow that might be the best avocado toast I've ever had. They piled on bacon and eggs on a thick slice of toast. Their bacon was perfect - a little crispy and really juicy. Loved the mimosa. Wish I could've tried more drinks. Other people's drinks looked so good! The service and food is exceptional. I like coming here while I charge my electric vehicle. Today I had my infant with me and we sat inside and watched sport highlights while waiting for my food. I ordered the loaded potato with brisket and the spinach dip. My waiter Cole was amazing, he took my order quickly and kept checking on me. I stopped by this local joint to try their food. The place looks like a new restaurant to the area. On this day I tried the Chimi Chicken Sandwich. I got it with a side salad instead of fries. I'm not a big eater and believe that the fries would have taken me over. The sandwich is not that big and that's perfect for me. If you're a big eater then opt for the fries. This is my first time back since my first visit, which was right after this place opened. I wanted to give this place some time before I came back, just so the place had a chance to get into a groove. I ordered the chefs special with was the fish and chips, and I have to say, the breading on the fish looks pretty thick, but I will have to say that it was surprisingly light and tasty. I have eaten a lot of fish and chips and sometimes the breading is just too much, but not here. I ran into a friend as I was leaving and recommended the fish and chips to them. We also got a couple barbecue chicken flatbreads and I am told they were delicious. Based on the lack of left overs, I'll have to take their word for it. The service was great with different people checking in to see how we were doing and the food was ready pretty quickly. Kenwood's was showcasing local Chino Hills bred talent Summer Woods who was performing with her Father and the whole Ambiance was so Powerfully Piercing and Romantically Healing! I love how Kenwoods dims the lights but leaves the Chandelier's glittering with gold matching a Musician's ability to help us stay optimistically resilient during turbulent and uncertain times. Summer Woods was so passionately engaging and inspiring with her Authentically charming Style! I loved her personal Cover Songs of "Unwritten" and the Spanish Version of Shakira's "Whenever Wherever" Masterpiece, and seeing her tickle the Patrons onto the Dance Floor with carefully selected familiar throwback Jams was so fun and mesmerizing! The Owners and Management did a wonderful job casting Top Shelf Talent to match the Exquisitely Upscale Decor and Culinary Excellence of the Menu! Monique was our Server and we loved and appreciated her positive and welcoming personality! She was great at thoroughly explaining the Menu and different side options we can choose for the Sandwiches. We stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon to check out this sports bar and eatery. The inside is spacious with a high ceiling for good ventilation and several TVs above the bar displaying sporting events. There's also an outside patio area which appears to be an equally-popular seating option. Prices were comparable to similar restaurant genres. This being our first time here, our party of three decided to share some selections from the appetizer menu and sample a few of their drinks. We learned that this restaurant also offers a weekend brunch menu with an unlimited Mimosa special, but it ended at 2:00 (which was shortly before our arrival). For appetizers, we decided to order the nachos, jalapeño poppers, and pretzel bites. All three arrived in a timely manner and included generous portion sizes suitable for sharing. The jalapeños were actual large, breaded peppers, not the little "nuggets" some places serve. The pretzel bites were served with a cheese sauce but, surprisingly, no mustard was included. My only real negative critique would be that the tables lacked salt, pepper, and basic condiments (i.e. mustard), and I felt the nachos could have used a little more seasoning. For liquid libations, I began with a Bloody Mary, while my brother sampled the Kenwood ale (which he enjoyed) and my wife stuck to the raspberry iced tea. The Bloody Mary was well-balanced, lightly spiced, and garnished with a celery stick, cucumber slice, green olive, and a glass replete with lemon and lime slices and rimmed w/ salt and Tajin - and it was very tasty! We later tried a round of Raspberry Spritz wine-based cocktails which were refreshingly light and a perfect closer for our introductory visit. We enjoyed Kenwood's immensely and discussed future food and beverage plans for our next visit on the drive home. The menu was larger than we expected, but everything we saw being brought out by the servers looked fantastic. The staff was friendly, and our waiter stopped by regularly to ensure we weren't in need of anything. We'll definitely be back to sample more. read more

My friend and I arrived shortly after they opened on Sunday to grab some lunch and check this place out that we'd heard so much about. If you want to go somewhere with a group or to watch sports, this is the place! It would be just as nice for two people as it would be for a group of ten! There's tons of room here. Although there were plenty of tables available when we arrived, my friend and I chose to just sit at the bar (which has the most comfortable chairs, by the way). Erica greeted us as soon as we sat down, and even when things got crazy-busy, she took great care of us. There is a nice menu with plenty of variety to have something for everyone. We both decided on the Cobb Salad, which was fresh and delicious. Prices on the menu were completely reasonable, too, so you won't totally blow the bank coming to Kenwoods.
