This is a surprising place. Small building dry dark and no windows. Inside the friendliest waitress you could meet. She brought out toast with butter and hot sauce. She next instructed us to put the hot sauce on the buttered toast. This was a first to me but it was delicious! We ordered the basque breakfast which included Serrano ham, sausage, bacon, eggs and potatoes. It was enough for my husband and me to share. I came here to use their truck scale that is also owned and used outside the restaurant. I didn't know they had a restaurant too until I drove by. They do close at 3pm. The younger woman took my order, I tried their Breakfast steak ($17) and got their iced tea to go. For their iced tea, they gave it by half liter bottles. The breakfast steak can come with sides of refried beans, country potatoes, and eggs to your liking. They also give out a small appetizer of toasted bread with butter. They do have salsa and hot salsa that they make as well. The spicy salsa goes well with the eggs and steak. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking. The owner also gave out lollipops to customers too. The staff is nice and the place is clean. read more

Don't tell anyone I told you about this place. It is one of the best kept secrets I have found in my years. They sit in an unassuming lot with a truck scale business. I believe the family that runs the scales also runs the cafe. It is a wonderful little place to have great Basque style breakfasts and cocktails. It's a lovely throwback to what good places used to be complete with wood panels and a little cafe style bar to sit at. The lady who waited on us was the owner and she seems to love having people there. We ordered Spanish coffee which she generously poured us. then she made a recommendation for our second round which was a version of what we had ordered first. Then she brought us bread and butter and asked if we wanted salsa to go on it. Yes please! What a nice twist to the bread and butter you get used to. I had the steak and eggs which came out exactly how I ordered it. Eggs over medium and steak medium rare. Lots of potatoes too. My wife had the breakfast burrito. It had to be the biggest one I have ever seen. She ranted and raved all day about how much she loved it. I love this place! I will be back every time I am in town near it. This little cafe is honestly a very nice place. I had initially passed it while I was looking for where it was but thankfully I found my way back. The ambiance in here is very cozy and welcoming, which made dining in here very enjoyable. The service was amazing as well, we had the younger server greet and take care of us while we dined, and she was very nice and made sure we were doing alright. And of course the food not only looked amazing it was delicious and very worth the price. Have been wanting to try Taylor's Cafe for some time now. Had breakfast there and went back another time for lunch. Very clean, super friendly staff, and the food is very good. It is a limited menu as they only serve breakfast and lunch. However, so far we have been impressed with the different items we have tried. It reminds me of home cooking. The service is great as is the food. Must have the bread with the whipped butter and salsa. So good. We will definitely be back as it has become a favorite of ours. I highly recommend Taylor's. We've all heard of a dive bar. Well, this is a dive diner kinda place. They do sell alcohol as well. I know this by the table full of bud lights left by patrons at 1030 in the morning. The morning our group went for breakfast, we were greeted by staff that gave off a very down to earth family vibe. They knew most patrons by name. They offered something that their known for and what initially sounded very strange. Bread and salsa. Weird, right? But as the saying goes, don't knock it until you try it. Both salsas were delicious on the crispy and soft bread. One was very spicy but also had excellent flavor. The pancakes I ordered were very good. And the house made sausage was fairly good as well. It's not much to look at from the outside but the magic they're making on the inside make it the most beautiful breakfast spot ever. If they just served the French bread, butter and salsa id be a regular! Fortunately the rest of their food is amazing too. Our verdict: if you can handle and love spice opt for the hot salsa. It's brava!! I ordered the sausage omelet without cheese and opted for beans instead of potatoes. My husband ordered chilaquiles with over easy eggs and opted for beans as well but also got a side of potatoes and side of tri tip which is only available on weekends. So my sister thought I was taking her to a bar !!! Lol it did look old on the outside and like a bar, as we walk, and it was very full, a lot of families with their kids and eating. I ordered huevos rancheros. Let me tell you it was super delicious!!! I don't care for pork very much, but this one was very delicious very flavorful. Waitress here are a little overwhelmed, but there was a lot of customers that morning. I am one of the least people to get mad when I know that people sometimes our little overworked at everyone comes in at one time so I have a lot of patience especially they do acknowledge you and let you know I'll be right back Coffee is great here.
