I have been a regular customer at Tom's since it first opened. It's essentially a diner with a modern look and a drive-thru. Everything I've tried here is tasty, but my favorite items are the breakfast burritos, steak sandwich, chicken tenders, burgers, omelettes, and salads. The fries and onion rings are good too. Tom's prices are fair for the quality and portion of food. Besides the food, what makes Tom's a winning restaurant are the people, especially Angelica, who's very friendly, helpful, understanding, and customer-oriented. The entire staff is great, though. Visited here for the first time recently. Location is very clean and they have a large parking lot. The entrance however is sort of confusing as there's not a clear path or any signs to get to the front door. Staff are very friendly and kind. Food was okay. I go the waffles with bacon and eggs. The waffles were delicious and the eggs were cooked near perfect to how I prefer them. The only issue I had was the bacon. Quality of the bacon seemed low. I asked for it to be crispy but it came out extremely dry and unappetizing. Disappointing tbh. 4/5 experience for a clean dining area, kind staff, and good waffles & eggs. Came back to Tom's in Chino and had another great meal! This time I ordered the huge breakfast plate with a cup of coffee. The menu here is very large, and every item I've tried so far has been delicious. Their burgers are really tasty, the eggs are light and fluffy, the bacon and sausage are flavorful, and the pancakes are soft, tender, and cooked just right. The customer service is excellent. The staff checks on you several times throughout your meal to make sure you have everything you need, which I really appreciate. This place is always busy with lots of customers, and that's usually a good sign. Even with the crowd, the service is still great. There's also a decent amount of parking available. There were four TVs playing sports and some alternative music in the background, which gave the place a relaxed energy. Great spot for a solo meal or for hanging out with a group. FOOD / DRINKS Fish Sandwich Combo (Recommend): This was the item my friend recommended, so I gave it a try (protein style). The fish had a pleasant briny, savory flavor with a solid crunchy texture complemented with good lettuce and tomatoes. The fries were solid. Simple but satisfying. Often we get home and our order is completely wrong, just like last night. What a great mom-and-pop diner for your greasy spoon needs. I've been looking for a local burger joint that gave me the Original Tops vibes that I basically grew up with. I thought that was Andy's for awhile, but they seem too modern in their decor and menu choices in comparison to Tops. But Tom's has the vibe down pat, with its great breakfast offerings, chili cheese fries, and burger offerings. Their menu just seem straightforwardly the greatest hits of places like these that you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. And whole I only had the two egg breakfast, that was promising enough to make me explore this place even further. The service was impeccable and they had the refills for me falling like rain like I want. They even take the extra step of bringing the food to your table instead of calling out a number for you to pick it up from the front. When you're craving pancakes on a random weekday afternoon, where can you go? We have this place a shot because we were craving non commercial chain pancakes and this place did not disappoint! Having had their famous breakfast burritos growing up, I never thought of this place for pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious and freshly made! Also ordered steak and eggs with hash browns and the steak was pretty good quality and tender. I ordered the cheeseburger which sadly wasn't my favorite. It was a little salty and covered in thousand island and pickles which I don't personally like. Overall, I love how clean and remodeled this location is. The service was great too! When I walked in I was greeted and assisted right away. The cashier was very polite and they came around to my table a couple of times to see if I needed a refill or anything else. The ambiance was generic with a few TVs around the walls inside. It was very clean inside as well as the restrooms. They have a large selection of different foods on their menu from breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as side orders. I ordered the pastrami combo which came with fries and a drink. I paid $21.74 which was well worth it. I'm a big fan of the Hat, but this pastrami was very, very good. Very flavorful. It came with enough pastrami, mustard, and pickles, which gave it an excellent flavor. I can't say too much about the fries since I like my fries a little more soft. I will definitely be returning for another meal. This is only my opinion. You will have to eat there in order to form your own opinion. read more

The portion sizes here are huge, you can easily share a meal if you wanted. The flavors tho were a bit of a miss. The meat on the salad was very hard and lacked flavor. First time visiting Tom's for breakfast. Tom's has several breakfast specials, and the prices are very good. This location is relatively new, so the entire is clean and fresh looking. I didn't notice any tables that needed cleaning. I had the scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a pancake with strawberries and whipped cream. Unfortunately, the eggs were very dry and tasted like nothing. The other items were average. If I had to pick one, I would probably order the home potatoes with bell pepper over the hash browns next time. Regarding the service, it was fantastic. The order takers at the counter were friendly and answered questions about the various breakfast specials. In addition, another staff member walked around and filled coffee. So after reading reviews that we're mostly positive, husband and I decided to try Tom's for the first time for Sunday brunch, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy but service was prompt and the restaurant was very clean. Breakfast menu is served all day. Husband had the generous Mexican breakfast special, which included coffee for $10.49, and I had the fried zucchini with ranch. All was well prepared. I would say some of the past negative reviews on service were paid attention to by Tom's, as our service on this occasion was excellent. Can't begin to count how many numerous times servers came to ask if all was okay, and offer free coffee refills. This attentive service with the restaurant being 90% full. Diane was very pleasant, truly knowledgable about the various menu items, offered enticing suggestions for my order, and allowed for slight modifications to my pastrami sandwich, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
