Had brunch with some friends recently. Riverside Grill & Bar is a go-to. Service is always great and the outside patio is just a vibe. You get the ambience and it's always enjoyable. I've tried different brunch items but the latest was the biscuits and gravy. So good! Will be back to try more!

My family and i have been coming here for years. The food is delicious and fresh. So many good options! Parking is full most times but 7th st has loads of parking! 10/10 service. We've even befriended the employees that usually help us. Great place for breakfast or lunch with a family and friends

The staff always remembers us and are very friendly and attentive. The food never disappoints. The music is always good as well. Love to hang out while my car is washed.

Half the restaurant is your classic style diner and the other half is a green house atmosphere. Staff rotate all around to assist and provide excellent customer service to all guests. Staff are very attentive. Food is locally sourced and everything is made in house.

My friend and I have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and will continue to go. We have always loved their great customer service since everybody is always so friendly and the owner has an amazing sense of humor..We love everything we've ever had from their menu.. They have indoor and patio seating and their patio has heaters and fans too to accommodate their customers with the weather.. if there isn't enough parking, you can park in the back street, where the car wash is...

Receipt prices do not match menu prices.

I'll touch up on the biggest point of contention first. Their online menu has listed prices. On the menu it indicates cash paying gets 3.5% discount. Nowhere on the menu did it say there was a credit card transaction fee. I get the receipt. The prices on the receipt do NOT match the listed price on their menu. I asked the waitress. She said the prices on the receipt reflect the credit transaction price. That in itself is not right. Next up, she said if I paid cash, I would get a 3.5% discount off the credit card prices on the receipt. Which MEANS , they raised the prices of the menu price by 3.5% first, then I get the cash paying "discount." Ultimately I would be paying full menu price and NOT get the 3.5% discount. Very illegal and shady business practices. They did not make the price correction despite me pointing it out. I can't imagine how many people they scammed this way. Secondly, my daughters shared one plate. They took it upon themselves to split the plate and charge me $3 for it without me asking or them notifying me. Thirdly, the cost of the food didn't match the average tasting food. Fourth, parking is limited. The staff were friendly, but I had to ask for pancake syrup 3x. Ultimately, we would not return.

If you're trying to enjoy breakfast, in a friendly atmosphere, where you don't have to listen to bad dry jokes, or wanna be judged by how you drink your coffee, then STAY AWAY from this restaurant. Not sure if the host /Owner was having a bad day, or he just has a very bad confrontational attitude. The wife and I, with our 1 year old decided to give this place a shot, after living in Chino for 15 years and never even noticing the restaurant as it's pretty hidden next to a car wash. We got there, was greeted by the host, then we asked for a table for two, and a high chair. Then he responds, well I see more than 2, so maybe a table for more? I said, oh yeah my 1 year old as well.. We get to the table, and I asked for a high chair please, then he responds YEAH I KNOW, I'm getting it... Was kinda weird response as I asked politely. I have a pretty thick skin, so this didn't bother me much, but that was just the beginning. We order our drinks and I get iced coffee and asked for a side of creamers. I used the 5 creamers for the coffee, then I ask the host/waiter/ for some more creamers, then he responds "oh wow I didn't know you were gonna drink your creamer with some coffee." very dry joke, and not even in a funny way. Sorry you have to bring me a few more creamers. Maybe stop offering coffee if additional creamers hurt your business. The food gets there, good size portions and good taste. I finished my coffee, and I ask if they had flavored creamers for the refill, the same waiter says "yeah we do but we're gonna have to charge you for them, so do you really want them?." I said, oh no thanks. Then he laughed and said he had vanilla and caramel. I ask for both... A few minutes pass by and different waitress comes by, I asked for the creamers and she said no worries, then the waiter come back and says, yeah I don't know why she's so nice. At this point I had enough of his dry jokes, then I said, yeah maybe it'll help the review later, and he responds "omg I'm scared..." very sarcastically putting both of his hands on his face in this position then walks away. After that it just didn't feel right, we finished our drinks and they kept passing by, and they wouldn't refill our drinks or wouldn't even drop by the table. My wife at some point asked me to ask for a box to go for her, because she didn't wanna "get roasted" by the waiter with his humorless jokes or come backs, as every time we asked for something, there was some smart remark or really bad dry joke. He put is in a very uncomfortable position, whether to stay and finish our food or leave because of how he was treating us every time we asked for something. The atmosphere didn't feel right, we weren't getting our refills, the guy kept passing by and it just didn't feel right. In the end we didn't finish our food, we just wanted to get out of there. Not mentioning that it was about 100' degrees that day and all they had was a fan on. They seem friendly to other people that they knew, not sure what the issue was with serving us. Food portions were decent, quality was fair and prices were good. I would have given this place another shot if it wasn't for the horrible experience. We will not be coming back, we like to support local businesses, but this one didn't feel right. P. S if the manager or owner are reading this, relax on the dry jokes, focus on the service. You treat people with respect, if the reason you looked down on us was because you own the business and we were just a burden when we asked for creamers or refills, you shouldn't be serving anyone. Go sit in your office and manage the business from there, you have no customer service experience.

    Over charge

Beware. They over charge you. The price on the receipt and whats on the menu was completely different. They claim it's a debit card charge. It does not state that anywhere in the receipt nor did they let me know. The employees were not attentive. Kept having to grab another waitress to help. Im all about supporting small businesses, but this is not the way. Ive been coming here for years, but after today. Im done. They are doing shady business. Beware and check your receipts.

Maria, Al & Rodrigo are always welcoming. The servers (Javi, Joselito, everyone) and whom ever may be at the bar are always on point, hustling, moving orders and drinks in fashionable time. Let's not forget the cooks preparing these fine meals for everyone. Environment is always high pitched and great ambiance. Parking is scarce because everyone wants a meal with fresh ingredients delivered daily however there is tons of parking beside/behind KFC. Never a miss, always a hit.

The prior Irish pub used to have some music and dancing I can't remember maybe on Thursdays or something and it was pretty popular so why they made the change I don't know but now it's permanently closed. Let's get something in here that's well liked and tolerated by everybody that can last a few years instead of every other year there's something new struggling to make it go. Their street tacos and food platters weren't bad and the beer was always cold, it was a quiet place to hide out but I guess that was its downfall sometimes you could be the only one in there or two or three other people and that won't pay the bills in a location that's known for high rent.

Basically it's a cover charge as the 80s bar does a cover on the weekends too. Be sure to check in with the host on the left. They have you wait in line until the next group is done with their timed seating. We had a 10pm reservation and probably waited about 15-20 minutes to enter. Walking through the 80s bar it gives off very clubby and busy vibes so it was hard to imagine a speakeasy at the end of it. I was actually shocked upon entrance and really impressed with the detail and ambiance. It is a small space and keep in mind you may share a table with another group if necessary. The drinks were actually phenomenal. On the pricier end of $22 and up but we're so good. I loved the horror theme play on the cocktail names! The candy man was delicious and my favorite. The Lester drink came in a light bulb with an edible flower and that was definitely an experience! My hubby loved the Samara which was a delicious espresso. I wish I could have tried more cocktails but our timed seating was up (90minutes). Overall, I was a bit worried with all the poor reviews but we had a good time and definitely got you into the spooky season spirit! The staff was also very kind. I do wish they had more horror actors but still a good time.
