The best Mexican restaurant ever I love the soup and the cheese enchiladas I recommend this place one of my favorite restaurants.

I went in today because I had always been a fan and was finally in the area My go-to was always the Shredded Beef Taco Combination plate - they were always so flavorful and juicy But unfortunately, it seems like many of their recipes have changed.. They shredded beef tacos were very dry, the meat was tough to chew The albondiga soup changed as well, the broth tasted watered down and the actual albondiga was pretty pink and raw on most of the inside The rice + beans saved the plate honestly. This was a to-go order, so I can't speak to table service. But y'all. This was a Carne Asada dinner that came with a side of rice and beans in your choice of salad or soup. I chose the tortilla soup. It also comes with a side of tortillas and some chips and salsa and guacamole. Our other meal was the steak fajitas. It came with all the same add-ons as a Carne Asada. We also added a shredded beef sope. When I tell you, the food is delicious I'm not lying. We had leftovers for at least another three meals the next day. The food has always been good, as this restaurant has been doing business here for several decades. They are consistent and prices match portions served. However, they need a much hotter salsa for chips and food served. The service was also good and the atmosphere was pleasant. read more

I tried this place third time today and very last time. The rice was rewarmed more than once it was dry and back to hard grain. The beans before were dry Today the beans were better possibly new cook. I was really disappointed especially because I was super hungry. The service was okay, but the food is mediocre. The beef hard shells tacos were average. I was shocked a taco plate combo & a taquito plate came out to $45! Hours later I'm still pist that was not worth nearly $50 dollars. We got waters thankfully. I know everywhere expensive these days but these are simple meals. Oh and the tortilla soup sucked! My daughter and I had to add the chip salsa, salt, & pepper to doctor it up. Seemed like water was added to stretch it. It was flavorless. We ended up just leaving it and not eating it. I love getting food here. They are generous with portions, the people working here are also friendly and welcoming. I like to visit here. But the food too is good. The beans are tasty, but the carne asada and carnitas are my favorites. It's local too so just a short drive. The parking lot gets full so beware. Also nice atmosphere inside too. What a fantastic place! We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area! And this one is hidden in a shopping center! When you first walk in, everyone is so kind and welcome! I came with a big group and the food came out fast. The servers were patient with us and the inside was very clean and comfortable. The music was great. All that being said, the food lacked depth of flavor. I got the Chile Colorado and it was more reminiscent of a tomato sauce than a chile base sauce. The rice was well cooked but not flavorful. I truly believe if the plate was spicier it would be so much better. I think this is a fair rating because of the great service but I won't be coming back. read more

We came here because good Mexican food is semi hard to come by and we have only found great food in Ontario. But this place was a disaster to even begin with. Service was horrible, and the food even worse. If I could give this place zero stars I would. To start off, my plate came with a soup and I chose the albóndiga soup. The meatball in my soup was RAW on the inside. And it was flavorless. That scared me, but I wanted to give the main dish the benefit of the doubt. Then comes my chile relleno plate. Looks nothing like a chile relleno. I was basically handed a plate full of melted cheese and beans and a splatter of some bean/queso sauce. I got absolutely zero chile relleno and I was just biting into scrambled egg and big chunks of YELLOW cheese. My hubby ordered camarones à la diabla and he was given shrimp swimming in El Pato sauce. The food ended up giving us both food poisoning that lasted into the weekend. We are highly disappointed in the food as well as the safe food preparation practice. The risk for salmonella and other diseases is extremely high here. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place except for that the health inspectors should come inspect this place. Wouldn't even feed my dog left overs from this place. Period. I want my money back. Unless you want to get very sick, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Someone's review equated it to El Torito, but as I told the waitress I ate at El Torito a week ago and the enchilada, rice & beans were bland. This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for nearly 30 years. In fact, it was my favorite restaurant of any cuisine hands down for many, many years. It's not exactly the same as in the past but still the best in the area in my opinion. Dining in seems to taste better than to go, so be sure to eat there if you can. It's always nice to see the same friendly, staff that has been there for decades - speaks to the ownership. Now onto the food! The BEST salsa ever. I compare every other restaurants' salsa to theirs and nobody comes close. I can eat it by itself. It's not spicy and has a ton of flavor. By the time the meal comes (which is always so fast) I'm usually full on chips and salsa. You have to get the soup, too. Their tortilla is great. I don't eat meat, but my mom always orders the meatball and loves it. She'll order a big batch for pick up when she's sick and it makes her feel better. As for the main dishes, there are a lot of options and all are delicious. You can get a meal for under $20 and portions are so big it's at least two servings. Check out the pic of my burrito. The length is almost as long as a knife and the width is about half of that! You can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Tonight we also got margaritas. $11 and huge. We went there tonight and the place was crowded but the food was still delicious as we always found it to be on all previous visits. We had our wedding anniversary at this restaurant and no complaints were heard from the medium size group that attended. We have even used this place for some larger size food orders to share with family get togethers at home. read more

My family has been coming to this restaurant for over 2 decades, and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. My grandfather was a weekly guest at their establishment, creating friendships and bonds with as many members of the staff as he could. When he passed, this restaurant became a place of remembrance of him. I moved out of state a few years back but my first stop back home was here. My wife and I had a very nice lunch at Casa Sanchez. We were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. Our drink order and complementary chips and salsa came quickly. It did take a while for us to be able to place our meal order. We waited no time for our food to arrive, but I requested extra napkins and again had a very long wait for them to arrive. I will say my shrimp meal was delicious as well as my tortilla soup. I loved my meal. Even my refried beans were extra good. However, my wife was not pleased with her Chili Verde meal. She said she has had better. The place was hopping and everyone was waited well by a cheerful staff, nice ambiance. Just a few service lapses. Service can be very slow at times. Almost as if you have been forgotten about. Other times, it can be random check-ins, not frequent enough to not need anything but just enough to always need a refill or napkins. Inside is a bit crowded and occasionally has dirty tables. Easily fixable, and I'm sure they will. The food is some of the best in the area. Our favorite is the crunchy tacos. They are consistently flavorful and crunchy. The salsa is good, but the chips are a bit stale. Especially if you get a batch that has sat for a wee bit too long. Parking can get tricky during peak eating hours. read more
