Stopped by because my mom saw it & was craving tacos. The staff were super welcoming, especially the ladies up front... even when we realized they were closing in 38 mins. Small spot, but plenty of seating, & clean. My mom got their menudo & really liked it. She wants to come back to get it again with the pata since it wasn't available this visit. We also got some tacos. Asada, adobada, & tripas were our favorites. When looking around at other tables, all of their food looked soooo good! We'll def be back when craving again to try other items on the menu.

First visit with a couple coworkers for lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was tasty. Not the absolute best Mexican food I've had, but better than many places and nothing was bad. I ordered the Combo #1 with a Cheese Enchilada & Shredded Beef Taco, served with rice and beans. My coworkers had the Shrimp Empanizado, a cup of Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), and Two Chicken Mole Enchiladas. Everyone was happy with their selections and the prices were reasonable. This restaurant is located across the street from one of my job sites, so I'm sure I'll be back to try some other dishes.

A friend ordered me food from here on door dash. I ordered the chili relleno and enchilada ranchera combination plate. It was so good i didn't even get a picture before I dove right in. They also included the cutest hand written note which i thought was so sweet. I would absolutely order from here again

Popped in for a little office lunch. Service was on top of it as they sat us quickly and took our drink orders immediately. The place has a very casual atmosphere with a jukebox on one wall. I ordered up the three item combo consisting of rolled tacos, Chile Relleno and cheese enchilada. All were very yummy. And if you are a chips and salsa person, those were good as well. Overall, good experience and we'll be back.

Ordered to go. I snapped the picture of the menu for everyone to look at. Took my order and repeated everything afterwards so to make sure my order was correct. There's a front and back entrance in case the front parking is full. Great place to come sit down

After entering the store, the place seems clean enough. There's a counter for the take out and ordering. The menu is pretty standard fare, including lots of grilled foods, tacos, and burritos. I ended up ordering the burrito bowl and the taco platter. Both dishes are made to order as you can see the chef in the area where you pick up your dishes. The staff is all friendly and willing to help if you need something like an extra plate or some utensils. The food was definitely the highlight. Maybe because it was made to order but you could taste the cheese as it's just about to melt between the layers of rice cooling down and the meat still resting. It was a good balance of the colder items in the bowl with the ones just prepared. The seasoning was just right as well. Nothing was too salty or overpowering to the point that I needed to get lots of refills at the drink fountain. The decor suggests that the food style is Ensenada inspired. In that case, I will have to try the seafood and baja style at some point. I definitely recommend coming here if you get a chance. And coming back multiple times if you have been here before.

We noticed there was a sushi restaurant on one end of the plaza and this Mexican restaurant right next to the boba shop, so we decided to give it a try. According to Yelp, it's listed as a "Fast Food" restaurant, so I honestly didn't have very high expectations. To my surprise, I may have just found my favorite Mexican fast-food restaurant in California! The restaurant is clean, modern, and well organized. You place your order at the front counter, then pick up your food when it's ready from the kitchen area. The walls are decorated with grayish photos of Ensenada, Mexico--the birthplace of the restaurant. My son immediately recognized the scenery because we had just visited Ensenada on a cruise not long ago. Having had authentic tacos and ceviche in Ensenada, I can confidently say this place is the real deal. It definitely lives up to the hype! We visited around 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday, with only about an hour left before closing, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Even so, every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh. The lettuce and garnishes served with the tacos were crisp, and I was especially impressed by the onions--they were sweet, flavorful, and not spicy at all. I honestly can't remember the last time I had onions that tasted that good. In addition to the delicious food and friendly service, I really appreciated the thoughtful design of the women's restroom. The sink is installed low enough that my 3-year-old was able to wash her hands independently without needing my help. It's a small detail, but touches like this show that they truly considered families with young children when designing the space. We ordered Combo #2 and a Burrito Bowl. My kids especially loved the rice and beans. The beans were perfectly seasoned without being spicy, and the beef was tender and cooked just the way we like it. This unexpected stop turned into one of our favorite dining discoveries. We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu--especially for the ceviche!

Located in Ontario,…read moreTofu Chon is a fantastic Korean tofu restaurant, that gets quite filled during meal times. Parking is a cinch, but would be difficult during lunch and dinner hours. My fiancé and I arrived around 3 pm on a Thursday afternoon, and we were seated immediately. They have tablets at each table to make ordering easy. They mainly have combo meals (protein + a tofu soup), a few main meals, and drinks. They did not have any appetizers, so come hungry to finish actual plates! I had ordered their rice wine (makgeolli) and a combo: purple rice with beef tofu soup and galbi. It didn't take long for our rice wine to come out and we were ecstatic!! It's not often that many restaurants service their makgeolli with the proper drinking bowls. We drank our rice wine while enjoying their side dishes: beansprouts, kimchi, fish cake, cucumbers, and garlic green leaves. The kimchi was in the sweeter side which was great. Their garlic green leaves truly stood out though! Shortly after, our food came out. To my disappointment, we did not receive purple rice as ordered. Yet, when I started tasting their beef soup and galbi, I absolutely didn't mind that my order with very slightly wrong. Their food was amazing and truly was worth every bite. Galbi was very tender and marinated well. Their beef tofu soup was hearty and warm. It reminded me of a nice hug. We stayed a bit to finish our rice wine. By the time we were at the end of our bottle, it was a full house for the start of dinner. The staff here were quick to seat, very patient with every patron, and were very tidy with the tables. The restaurant itself was very comforting and clean. I am absolutely coming back when I crave more tofu soup!

This is more of a high 3.5-low 4 out of 5. Good!…read more We came pretty late around 8:30pm and checked if they were still accepting customers, they were. Each table has an iPad set up to take orders which was perfect because we ordered very quickly after being seated. I liked their simple but varied menu, that is probably why our food came out relatively fast. Great. We were hungry. They shut off iPads around 8:52pm without notifying last call, just fyi. Vibes were homey. Space was a bit tight trying to squeeze past tables to get to our seat in the back corner, but it wasn't grimey just maybe not a location for large parties or lots of rowdy children. Banchan: bean sprouts, spinach, cabbage kimchi, fishcake, cucumber. These were decent. The fishcake, bean sprouts and spinach were simple but tasty. The cabbage kimchi had too much fish sauce. The cucumber still had a good crunch, lightly seasoned. We ordered the spicy marinated pork and seafood tofu soup combo along with the spicy cold noodles. Spicy marinated pork was so flavorful. Best dish of the night. The portion was pretty small though even for a combo order. Crisp of the raw onions, the marinade on the pork was perfect. Delicious with the purple rice that we selected as part of the combo. The seafood tofu soup was tasty as well, the seafood flavor was not too overpowering. There was 1 large shelled shrimp, a couple baby shrimps, and a few clams. Minimal but at least the flavor was good. Great offset to the cold noodles we ordered. The spicy cold noodles were just okay. We did not enjoy the slices of meat that came with it. We are very familiar with cold noodles and eat it often, the meat just did not taste good here. The noodles had a good chew, a bit too much gochugaru pepper flakes - we understand we ordered the spicy cold noodle but the pepper flakes here were more than necessary because then that was mainly what we tasted. Adding the vinegar (clear bottle) and mustard (yellow bottle) helped add some more flavor, we usually add it to our cold noodles. Overall this will probably be our go-to tofu soup/cold noodle spot if we find ourselves in Ontario, good options are pretty limited out there.

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)
