Quick first time visit. Pros: very fast seating not even 10 min wait as walk ins on a weekend. Friendly front staff and looks very clean and presentable, dim lit, casual yet classy. All waiters in black is nice upscale vibe. You can see the kitchen area, not loud you can talk comfortably. Seating in any area was nice. Food was very good 8/10 on everything. Well definitely go back fettucini Alfredo and lasagna, garlic bread all 8/10 good. If they want to improve; the Alfredo was a bit too watery and had mid flavor I had to add salt to taste. I always cook my noodles in sea salt and oil black pepper they should add flavor to noodles so the dish is very tasty. It's not healthy for you so might as well enjoy it! I absolutely ate almost all of it so it was good just needed a lil more for my taste! CONS: parking was terrible on a sat 6pm hard to get in or out cars coming from all over. Our waiter seemed tired because even after saying it's our first time. No added talk it was straight to do you want appetizers or order now? I was thinking didn't you just hear it's out first time here!? That means you suggest best options and welcome us with a smile! Anyway we ignored him. All other waiters seemed very upbeat and happy so we'll let it slide for first time. He checked on us enough, and got our drinks etc but each time it was blunt to the point zero smiles zero anything. I don't mind that and I appreciate efficiency but as a waiter if you don't want ROBOTS to replace you, you're gonna need to keep up the reason we enjoy human interaction. The smile the warmth the friendly banter. You sir had none of that, and being human your ok this time. But not next time. Also it was my birthday, it would of been nice had you ask "oh great celebrating anything special?" Come on even Olive Garden asks that. So I expect more when it's 140$ for 2 people. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana last night for my daughter, and she couldn't cut through the chicken, so we brought it home. Today, when I went to warm it up for her, I noticed that the chicken was not cooked properly. Unfortunately, this is one of my favorite restaurants, and I've always recommended it to everyone. That's why I'm especially disappointed and concerned about this experience. I really hope this was an isolated incident because I've always had great experiences here. I wanted to share this because properly cooked chicken is a serious food-safety matter. We've seen this place pop up in reviews several times, so we finally decided to give it a try The inside is beautiful, with such a nice upscale ambiance and decor, especially considering it's in a more casual shopping center. Our server was friendly, but what really stood out was a gentleman walking around checking on everyone. He was incredibly helpful, gave us great suggestions, and really went above and beyond. I'm assuming he was the manager, but I'm not sure. As for the food, the garlic bread and pizza were our favorites! My husband really enjoyed the chicken Parmigiana (we requested meat sauce), and the portions are HUGE. We weren't big fans of the mac & cheese bites, but I think the Gouda was just a little too rich for us--it was pretty much all we could taste. We went to Mamma Mia on a Saturday evening without a reservation, party of three, and decided to sit at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the summer salad with spring mix, fruit, glazed pecans, feta, and raspberry dressing, plus a gluten-free garden pizza and a large regular supreme pizza. Everything was very good. I brought my sister for lunch and we had Joseph as our waiter. He was thorough, patient, and attentive with the order. Apparently, Riverside is the OG location serving the public for 4 years and Fullerton is the 2nd spot. I ordered fettuccine with meat sauce, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and grape tomatoes. The lunch 10" pizza with 3 toppings is $15, so I requested one with pepperoni, mushrooms, and roasted garlic. The food, service and ambiance was excellent, we had the shrimp Alfredo with broccoli and mushrooms, we also had the bread pudding... don't knock it till you try it... I wasn't expecting it to have any flavor but I was pleasantly surprised. Tp drink we had the arranca margarita and the bella amour... everything was so good. The service was devine... everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were always just a step away in case we needed anything else. Went in on Father's Day, and it wasn't too busy. The inside is dimly lit, cozy and more upscale than you would think from the appearance of the outside. We had the cheese curds and fried mac and cheese balls, which came out suspiciously quick. The Mac and cheese balls were still a little cold in the inside but did not take away from their deliciousness. I shared two plates, the Chicken parmigiana and the chicken Alfredo pizza. I really like the chicken parm, it was light and the sauce was flavorful without being too strong. I thought the pizza was okay, extremely cheesy and dry. I would have enjoyed a saucier pizza, the cheese was very overwhelming. The service was very fast and friendly. Checked in on us multiple times and made us feel comfortable. I saw this restaurant featured on instagram and decided to give it a shot. Oh wow, it did not disappoint! Super cute ambiance. Our waiter helped us pick some delicious wine pairing with our food. My husband had the lasagna and savored every bite, but in my opinion the star of the show was the shrimp scampi pasta! I wasn't expecting to have mushrooms in the pasta but it was delicious. The scampi sauce was absolutely heavenly. Usually scampi sauce is a greasy buttery mess, but this wasn't. I could taste the white wine and lemon flavor. Unbelievable flavor. My wife and I tried Mama Mia for dinner a while back and couldn't stop talking about it on the way home. We ended up bringing the whole family. We started with the fried calamari, and honestly, it was some of the best we've had. I usually go for the beef lasagna, but decided to try something different and ordered the Salarosa. First time ever having salmon in pasta, and it was excellent. The portions were huge, everyone took some food home. My wife ordered the Primavera and she too was amazed with the seasoning and portion size. I love the setting, relaxing and classy. The staff were outstanding, they went out of their way to accommodate our group and made sure we were comfortable. Everyone agreed the food and service were absolutely fantastic. Came back Sunday with family this time. Made reservations online for 2:00pm. We arrived and were promptly seated. We're here celebrating early Father's Day with my son and his son. This is my 2nd time and my son & grandsons 1st time. We ordered Mozzarella Cheese Sticks and Mac & Cheese bites. The Mozzarella Cheese Sticks were just ok for me but my grandson enjoyed them. The Mac & Cheese bites were pretty good dipped in Ranch. For our entree's we ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, 10 inch pizza with pepperoni, jalapeños & pineapple, Beef Lasagna, Garden salad with chicken & Cesar salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. While we ate we enjoyed watching FIGA World Cup Japan vs Netherlands on the TV's displayed over their bar area. Customer service was top tier. Smaller menu, but so glad we finally have good Italian in Riverside. I've been a few times with my husband, family and book club. Each time the service and food have been fantastic. One interesting feature about going for dinner is that the restaurant is kind of dark, but they have individual lights on each table that you can brighten and darker as needed. The salads are fantastic and I especially like the Spring and Summer salads. Tried the calzone recently and I love the fact that they have good vegetarian options and sesame seeds on top which is a personal favorite. Highly recommend this restaurant. My dress code wasn't up to par of this place because I just got out of work but definitely felt like a date night place. Taking a seat at the bar. The meatball appetizer with marinara sauce was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Despite not liking tomato/tomato sauce in general, I found myself consistently dipping my fork back in the sauce for another taste. We ordered the shrimp scampi and chicken marsala for a balance of light and creamy. The shrimp scampi was the perfect sauce consistency while still being refreshing with wonderful hints of lemon. The chicken marsala was extremely flavorful and somehow refreshing. It wasn't too creamy and heavy with some tomatoes and mushrooms mixed in. The chicken and shrimp were wonderfully cooked and seasoned. The pistachio ricotta cake was light, not too sweet, while still maintaining an airy texture with the perfect amount of pistachio. Dined here yesterday 7/6 at 715pm. First time dining here. When we walked in, we were graded by the male host could've been just a tad bit friendlier. We were seated in a booth in the second section against the window. As soon as I sat down, my booth move back a little bit .Our server was Greg. Overall, he was good and stated he's been in the restaurant industry for 40 years. We could tell at this point he had only had a couple tables in a section as he was really pushy for us to order our entrées when we just ordered our appetizers. I had asked for suggestions for appetizers. Never did he offer to give us any drink or entrée suggestions, ask if we had been there before etc. Straight to the orders. Our appetizer came extremely fast, which was nice however, right when they were dropped, he came to take our entrée order and we kindly let him know that we were not ready. He came over two more times and asked and after the third time of telling him we weren't ready I think he finally got it that we wanted to take our time. We had the Caprese and fried green bean appetizers, which were both amazing. I had their hazelnut espresso martini. It's good if you like a creamy espresso martini. I like them not creamy, but it was still enjoyable. For entrées, we had the chicken piccata which was dry on the chicken, and I had the lobster ravioli, which was delicious. I was expecting a heavy sauce with it but the meat sauce paired extremely well. For dessert, we have the butter cake, and that was enjoyable. I also had a glass of red wine. The cleanliness of our restaurant is amazing. As we walked by to get seated, I noticed there was no dust on any other wine bottles displayed. The way they celebrate birthdays is by putting this loud obnoxious song on throughout the restaurant which is funny the first time, but when you hear it a total of five times during your dinner, it becomes a bit much. Especially when the same table has it done twice at different times. There was no exaggeration to it being played five times in a matter of one hour and 15 minutes. I'd love to come back if I was guaranteed not to hear that birthday song several times during my dinner. The food is great, It's a clean place and the staff is nice. Slow down on service.
