The bushes and hedges are car shaped which was really cool. There's a spot for Veterans parking. Interior - cool decor. Lots of tables everywhere. The bar area is roomy and there are tables on both sides of the bar. Fans overhead was a nice touch. Old gas pumps really fits in. Really cool vibe they got going. Food / Drinks - I had the breakfast burrito. It was a good size and a good burrito. Nothing out of the park but definitely worth the price and I would get it again. Wife had the taco combo plate. Chicken tacos were good but she wasn't too thrilled with the carne asada. Said it was too grounded up. Maybe if they left strips of the steak? Idk. Fish tacos were really good. Crispy and flavorful. Drinks were fantastic. I had the large Michelada, since it was two beers it tasted a bit light so Laura, our server gave us a cup of Michelada base. Poured a bit of that and the drink was perfect. Bloody Mary was perfect the way it came. Great job Laura. Service - This takes us back to Laura. We sat down at a table near the bar where she was working behind. She immediately noticed us and brought over menus. She was very friendly and cordial and was on point the entire time we were there. Give this lady a raise. I'm pretty disappointed with my recent visit to Taco Station in Downtown Riverside. I've been here before for their fish tacos and usually get decent service, but this last time was highly unsatisfactory. We decided to sit at the bar because I really love the outside vibe, but the bartender (whose name I didn't catch) looked bothered for some reason, even though he only had a few customers. It took him forever to take our drink orders. When he finally brought out our two Coke Zeros, they had very little ice, which isn't ideal when it's 100 degrees outside. We didn't even want to ask for more ice because of how annoyed he looked. He then took our food order without writing anything down. I thought maybe he was one of those people who can just memorize a whole order, but nope. He completely messed up my order, which meant I had to sit and wait while my partner ate his food. By the time my correct order finally came out, he was almost done eating. To make matters worse, we were never given napkins or silverware. The bartender spent most of his time on his phone or reading a bartender manual, so he really wasn't paying attention to us at all. I sure hope if and when we go back, the service is much better. We were driving by and noticed the plants cut into the shape of low riders. We knew it was a spot we had to check out so we parked nearby on the street and walked over. It was pretty popular when we were there and had to wait a bit to order. We'd ate a little bit earlier in the day so we opted for a few tacos and drinks. We didn't realize when we walked in that there was a full bar outside, so that was a plus we ordered a margarita and a couple of beers and ate our tacos. Outside service was friendly. The taco station in Riverside is always a good vibe for me. The aesthetic is awesome and there's a nice outdoor seating area with a good bar. Anytime I've eaten here I'be always enjoyed my food. My go to is the Al pastor burrito. Their Al pastor is exactly how I like it to taste and I haven't been let down yet. The menu is a lil overwhelming and a tad confusing because there's just so much and the names of items r different IMO lol. We have been here to dine in and its always been delicious. This year for Father's day we ordered from their catering menu to go. This is such a great option for occasions like this where you KNOW that if you go to a normal sit-down restaurant you're always dealing with the wait times and crowds, etc. We ordered about a week in advance and everything was ready to go as soon as we walked in! They loaded everything up on a cart and walked it out to the car for us! We got two taco platters, one asada, one carnitas. It's $12 per person and comes with enough meat, homemade tortillas, onions, cilantro, salsa, beans, and rice for each person to have at least 3 tacos each. They don't skimp on the sides, either, so there's plenty to go around. The onions and cilantro are mixed together. So if you're one of those people who tastes soap when you eat cilantro, you can request them to come separate. We also ordered the elote and papas poblanos. So many options on the catering and regular menus! The meat is flavorful and the rice and beans are also really tasty. The beans, especially. I believe they are chorizo beans, yummy. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The place has a gas station motif and has always been clean. There's so much to feast on, whether it be to eat or for your eyes to see in the decor! The inside has a small bar top with 3 or 4 barstool seats and faces the window with a view of the outside. The main seating is outside with plenty of space. There's even a full bar outside that is beautiful and opens early (like 6am, I believe), and stays open late. They have awesome drink and specialty shot options. The duck fart shot is adorable. I was so focused on getting everything situated when we got home that I forgot to take food pictures! But I got some good photos of the inside and out. Came here with the boys after work at 6am. They were open and had a full menu and bar at 6am! I ordered the quesobirra tacos. They were good! Not the best I've had but still really good! I also ordered the guacamole and chips. The guacamole was average. They have an outdoor bar with plenty of seating at their outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside. Exciting return visit! It had been a while since I last visited, but I'm so glad I decided to come back. The menu has a great selection, portions are generous, and they offer a solid variety of drinks and craft beers. The highlight for me was definitely the flatas--thick, meaty, and perfectly crispy. We were looking for a new place for a quick bite in Riverside and stumbled upon this gas station theme place. So glad we did!!! They really know how to do a theme! From the car topiaries to the gas pumps, they do it up right. I love the colorful setting, and we got a bonus of Christmas decorations. Very festive! With the exception of four stools alone a window counter, all of the seating is outdoors. There is a full service bar. You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. The girl that helped us at the register was very sweet and served us with a smile. The food didn't take too long. My go tos here are usually the ziggy fries or the nachos. I've heard great things about their seafood here. The horchata is also very delicious. You place your order by walking inside and waiting for your number to be called when your order is ready. There is usually a ton of people here and can get crowded on the weekends. It can be a little hectic to get items you need, like salsa. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The dining area is a patio, and it's huge. Plenty of tables to sit at. There's an open bar as well. They had Valentine's Day special drinks, like the Valentine margarita, which is huge, and the strawberry daiquiris. It's an alcohol based slushie. For the World Cup the WiFi was down and couldn't stream the game on 5 of the TVs packed house and game only showing to half of the restaurant from the bar. And the food they have stepped it up a notch. 10+ years ago well, as you can see, I really did not have any plans to go back. When you walk in you order at the counter . We waited about 5 minutes or so for our order . Overall the tacos were super tasty . The chicken taco had really good flavor on it and it wasn't dry which was nice . The carne asada also had really good flavor as well . We have been coming here for years when we camp at rancho jurupa campground. This time we went and got several taco combination plates and they were very disappointing. Shredded beef had no flavor at all. Chicken tacos were so dry I almost choked. The tortillas were stale and the rice too. The Beans were ok.
