Excellent poke bowls with tasty and fresh ingredients. We ordered ahead of time for our takeout dinner (large bowl) and when we arrived our bowl was ready. The restaurant looked clean and smelled of rice and fish. We asked for an additional small bowl on the fly and that went well. Food tasted great, fresh and sauces were a great complement. A little pricey but expected for poke. Ordered the sushi burrito with spicy tuna and sweet salmon. Like that they had mangoes and pineapples for that sweetness to cut the richness. Also like that you can get it crusted in hot cheeto dust. Strange, but delicious combo. I earned a promotion and had some extra money after paying rent, so I decided this would be my little treat this paycheck. I walked in and was greeted, everything is clean and orderly and the music is not too loud. Full disclosure I ended up walking out of the establishment. Since my last visit there is now a kiosk to order at. Again, I was greeted, I'm reading the menu just to see if I want to switch something up or get a different size or see if anything was new. Again...there are people at the prep-station that are cleaning and refilling. So, I walk over to the kiosk that is right where I have ordered for all of my other visits (I would also like to add, there are 2 customers already seated and eating their food, so NO ONE else is waiting). I'm sorting through what I would like to add, there are no photos, the descriptions are not helpful with the spice level of eat meat or sauce. You only get to add a certain number or toppings, sauces, avocado is extra. All while the employees were staring at me to place my order. Ok, I'm disappointed to leave this review because the quality here is great but I feel like Pokitomik has really started to go downhill as far as portions go. The fish is fresh, there is a good variety, and the sauces and marinades are excellent. This used to be my favorite poke place, but the fish portions are so small now! I hoped it was a fluke but the past several times I've been things have gotten worse and worse. I got a regular today and the guy (not the owner) that scooped the fish went really slowly as though he was trying to put the least amount of fish possible. He didn't even fully fill the tuna scoop today. I got six very small pieces of tuna. When they scoop they don't pack it in the scoop, they don't mound it up at all, they add barely enough to look like sort of a scoop. I even made a comment today about my scoop of tuna since it wasn't full and he just looked at me blankly. It just doesn't seem worth it to come anymore. I use to come here once a week as a treat but sadly it's gone downhill quite a bit. The place is extremely strict on toppings and having onions and stuff count as basic toppings choosing specifically 5 and them emphasizing it really shows how stingy they are. The sauce they put on plate is so abysmally small and u are allowed only 3 choices basically forces u to spend $1 on sauce. The rice wasn't fantastic. If they are struggling this hard maybe time to close up shop for good. This use to be my favorite spot in Riverside but damn super disappointed on Saturday such a shame a place like this that I've never seen busy once in my life here running their place to the ground. She was not welcoming and she demanded I go all the way to where you make your bowls instead of just taking my order on the register (mind you I can understand she probably thought I was going to order a bowl) She ignored me the entire time I stood there. Didn't speak to me didn't anything. I would have waited it longer had she been kind or at least acknowledge my presence. I just quietly walked out, I felt awkward and uncomfortable. The entire restaurant was empty, not another client was there but me. I really don't understand why she wouldn't give me the time a day. The three stars are solely for the previous time I was there. The food was very delicious but again the wait was extremely extremely long. It took me a while to want to come back because of the time. The actors were literally naked and eating cockroaches, its disgusting to watch when ur trying to eat ur food in peace. This is one of the best poki places I've ever eaten at! The man helping me out (I think he's the owner) was super friendly and he really crafted my bowl. I could see the care he took in putting it together. As for the taste of the bowl, this was some of the freshest tasting poki I've ever had. The bowl was so colorful and the sauces were so flavorful! Definitely filling for my lunch. As everybody has stated the price is just a little more expensive than your normal poki spot but it definitely shows in the quality of the ingredients that they use here. Once you walk into this restaurant, you'll see the big counter shielded by clear glass, similar to that of Subway. But, upon further inspection you'll notice poke bowl type ingredients, such as salmon, tuna, edamame, seaweed salad, etc. Here, you have the option of creating your own poke burrito, poke bowl, or poke taco. There's no limit to what you put in your creation, go big or be mellow. I opted for a poke burrito and a poke bowl and just let the worker know to make it look good and taste good, because it was my first time and knowing me I would make mine not as tasty. Watching it being made was pleasing to the eyes, and made me drool. Cheetos being sprinkled, sauces being drizzled, both aesthetically pleasing. As the food made its way down the "supply chain", it finally reached the register where I gladly received it. I sat down, took a fork and deconstructed the burrito because it was massive! Everything tasted fresh, and was very filling considering the amount of rice that they put in your creations. The parking lot is massive, you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. There's a good amount of seating inside. Service is good, Jonathan was the person working and was very friendly and helpful. My first experience was a good one! Im a regular customer at 5 different locations near the LA area. HUGE FANATIC of this brand, I want them to succeed and open everywhere. I recommend them to all friends and family. And have turned a lot of them into diehard fans as well. I was in the neighborhood for the holidays and it was my first time ordering from Pokitomik Riverside. I ordered my usual, large bowl and paid extra for favorite toppings . Usually ends up costing over $20 and the bowl ends up being jam packed every single time at all 5 locations that I've ever ordered from... except this one. It was jam packed with hot rice and barely any protein or any of anything. Most of my bites were hot rice and hot Cheetos dust. No joke. They were very stingy that day or maybe they're just like this every day. I don't leave reviews like this for brands I love unless I genuinely feel ripped off for my hard earned dollar and today I was. Guy working there looked at me like he knew too... he was like... "ummm here ya go" --your hot rice bowl with maybe a chunk of salmon or two (what I now hear when I recall that not what he actually said). I Was very disappointed and will probably not visit the Riverside location again and stick to my amazing regular Pokitomiks. Shout out Burbank location. read more

Very good 4- local The open air mall it's located in is a bit of a dump. Some nice places next to some dubious ones. Riverside is a fascinating place - areas of beautiful houses, areas of orange groves , and a seedy side. So typical of the rougher side of riverside , there are a bunch of homeless in some corners of the parking lot. They don't bother anyone but it's a bit off putting. As o said, Riverside is a fascinating place - but while I was here the clientele were mainly collect students - so it's a cool vibe inside. Not sure why the ratings are so high. I can describe this place in one word and that is SKIMPY. For $18 I definitely expected a little more. The scoops of protein could fit in a newborn baby's hand. The restaurant was dead inside and looked as if there hadn't been a customer in hours because the trays of fish were full, so you would think they would've given a better portion size of protein.
