Located in the Farm House Collective, Dada Kitchen is a Japanese-inspired restaurant that opened earlier this year. Upon walking in, you're greeted by a large selection of drinks, from Japanese sodas to an assortment of beers. Several TVs overhead play different content, such as music videos or Studio Ghibli movies, which creates a fun, youthful atmosphere. You can order either at the kiosks or directly at the front counter, and the employee taking orders was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
There's plenty of outdoor seating, though no indoor seating is currently available. While I think having a seat or two indoors would be a nice addition for people waiting on orders or wanting to watch the movies while they eat, I do think that the real strength of this spot is the outdoor seating; it's spacious, expansive, and you get to enjoy the overall vibe of the Farm House Collective.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, including ramen, rice bowls, fried chicken, and musubi. After ordering, you provide your phone number and receive a text when your food is ready.
I ordered dine-in, and the cashier was kind enough to personally bring out my ramen, which I didn't expect and found it really sweet.
*Tonkotsu Ramen: This ramen was actually really good! The tonkotsu broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with umami. The noodles had a nice chewy bite and weren't overcooked. I also appreciated the generous variety of toppings, which included fish cakes, mushrooms, three slices of pork chashu, corn, green onions, and half of a marinated soft-boiled egg. It definitely satisfied my ramen craving. It feels a little on the pricier end (like food truck prices), but I feel like the quality of the dish made me feel like I got my money's worth.
I'm glad this spot is located in such a cute area and has delicious food to match. It's a great place for a date, to visit with friends or family, or to grab takeout when you're craving ramen. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu! read more
