So good and fresh!! This place has VASTLY improved! It's my favorite poké spot in the IE so far. They pack the bowls so well. The price is a bit higher, but to me it's worth it. I love their Hawaiian marinade. That seems to be the most popular for them. I will say maybe my most recent visit-- the salmon was ok cuz the marinade was just made because they ran out of it. So they used the regular salmon to make it. I love their sauces too!! Creamy garlic, creamy miso were just some of them. I always find that most poké spots only have spicy mayo. But I love that they have more than one mayo / aioli type of sauces!! Those are my fav! I hope they continue being this way and only change for the better. I used to not like them some years ago. Service: GREAT customer service from the friendly girl with lashes and ear piercings (didn't get her name). I heard her welcome me as soon as I came in & she was very pleasant & patient throughout the whole experience. Her shift ended and her replacement was a friendly young man who also had great customer service! After I finished eating I went back to the counter so I could take photos of the proteins/menu and he asked me if I was ordering anything else, and kindly obliged to my request to taking photos of the proteins without the covers. He also told me to have a nice day. I appreciated that the customer service was consistent with both employees. I like that there are plastic bags stacked near the register so you can just grab one yourself if needed. Food: Fish was very fresh and I was satisfied with the quantities of everything. I've been looking for a new poke spot since I moved out of OC and this spot is conveniently located off the 60/215 interchange. They're located in a plaza that's just a few mins from University Village. Everyone working was super friendly and gave recommendations since this was my first time here. Right when I walked in the owner walked out with freshly made Ahi Tuna and Hawaiian Salmon trays so I knew what I had to try. Ordered myself a 4 scoop bowl but added an extra scoop of Roasted Eel since I've never seen that on a poke menu before (Worth). It's actually insane the amount of variety you get to choose here from the sides to the proteins to the toppings and even the sauces (look at the photos I attached) . I was a bit overwhelmed but in the best way since I didn't know how I would construct my monstrosity of a bowl. Everything was fresh and you can tell by the texture of their fish. I love this spot! I keep meaning to eat-in but I usually take it to go and eat back at work or home. Very bright and clean - and the fish/ingredients are usually covered with trays, when there isn't a line. Probably helps with the quality, which is so fresh. You get a ton of options and the staff are always really kind and patient. Parking: Easy, open, and free lot. I arrived around 1:30 PM on a weekday, and the restaurant was nearly empty. The poke tasted fresh and of good quality, but the flavors were not particularly memorable. I did not ask for wasabi because I did not want it at the time, so I am unsure if they offer it. This was okay. I wouldn't come back. They had good reviews so I said I'll give it a shot. They are pricey with limited options. They only have bowls on the menu of 3/4/5 scoops. I went with a 3 scoop which costed under $19. I wish there was an option for 1 or 2 scoops. I do not think the fish was fresh. I got Hawaiian salmon, tuna, and eel. The flavor was good but the salmon and tuna was not fresh. The eel was full of skin. The scooper is so tiny! It was like a 2.5 TBSP scooper for small cookies. They did have a lot of protein options. The service was eh. Server was sick and walked away to cough or sneeze then changed her gloves and continued serving.. Ambience did not seem friendly or welcoming environment. Where am I gonna go now?! I've been going to Poke Bistro for years. It's the ONLY poke place I would go to. I went about a month ago and I knew something was up when I saw chicken on the line.. CHICKEN.lol,wtf?! It's not the same. The flavors/sauces were off. I didn't even finish the bowl. As much as everyone would complain when the old man/owner was behind the line, I'm sad to see him go. I have been coming here maybe once a month or so for about four years it has always been good fresh, I think I've only had an issue once in years past. Today my review is in regard to the recent change in ownership, the customer service currently is by far the best service I've had visiting this location since my maiden visit years ago. The Staff is so respectful, kind, helpful, accommodating, and just in an all-around happier attitude when ordering. I like the location upgrades with the digital screens, the rearrangement of the drink station allows more room in the dining area. The improvements are wonderful. Keep it up. I previously frequented this location for convenience in vicinity to my employment and for a fresh taste, which is a change up from the nearby fast food. But now I will be much more eager to frequent due to the positive changes that have been made thus far. I have always liked Poke bistro, but now I love it! read more

The food was good, lots of variety with the fish for sure, had Hawaiian style for salmon and tuna. Not common elsewhere. However, we were served by an older lady who was pretty passive aggressive when serving us. I had asked for more pineapple and she just looked at me and pointed to the pineapple I already had in the bowl. Everything seemed like she was doing us a favor. A reliable place to get decent poke in Riverside if you're craving it. The fish does have a stronger fish taste but the toppings are yummy and fair in portions. I normally get rice/salad and salmon and tuna. I'm a sucker for toppings and will get almost everything including: edamame, crab, ginger, seaweed salad, eel sauce, spicy mayo sauce, and fried onions. The workers are normally college students that are nice and helpful. The place is on the smaller side but there are spots to sit and it's normally empty during the odd hours of the day. Food The food is pretty typical. There seems to be a generous amount Service Counter service , typical of the type of establishment Ambiance It's a small place with limited seating. The strip mall it's located in is typical riverside weird. The liquor store nearby brings in a pretty pathetic crowd But the other good poke restaurant down the street (poke bar) has a similar weird mall crowd. Their interior is a bit more classy, though.
