We came during lunchtime and this place was pretty good! First time trying it out. We were intrigued by the Mexican Asian infusion. The food quality overall was 8/10 nothing super crazy or flavorful but it was good and tastes great. The portions are also big. I saw another review about the cost of stuff and we're sadly not in 2010 anymore but for $15 i was full and my mom was too. (If you think this food isn't enough you might be part of Americas weight problems ) The service was also good! There was only one person working but service was good. We came when it was less packed so I'm not sure how they do when it's crazy but i personally can't complain about the service. The ambiance was also nice kinda like a Mexican style tavern/cantina. My friend was raving about this place since he has been eating here since they were a smaller business. It met my expectations but not at the same level as him. The mushroom poppers are great. Buying into the mushroom gives it a neutral taste but when you bite into it with the imitation crab and dipping sauce, it makes a whole lot better. The kimchichanga was next and I got it with bulgogi. Overall, the dish is good with yummy sauces on it. But I thought it had two major problems. The first is that the exterior was not that crunchy and left the inside tortilla a lot softer than it should. Maybe if it was in the fryer for a couple more seconds, it would have been perfect. The second was the meat. The bulgogi has a nice marinade but I thought it was over cooked and parts were either dry or too greasy. If I were to try this again, I would probably go for the chicken. I was in the area visiting friends who have been saying they wanted to try this spot for a while but haven't gotten around to it. Funny enough, they still haven't tried it because I decided to come in while they were busy and I had time to kill. I tried the kbbq burrito and found it very good. After hearing from a co-worker/friend that this restaurant has a several vegan options, I just knew I had to go see for myself. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I liked the clear restaurant signage outside as well as indoor and outdoor seating available. Upon waking into the restaurant, hubby and I were warmly greeted by restaurant employee Jessica. I liked that vegan food options are labeled with a vegan logo and it is stated that foods with the icons is already vegan or may have a vegan option such as subbing spicy mayo and cheese for vegan spicy mayo and vegan cheese. After reviewing the menu, I ordered a vegan kimchi quesadilla with tofu as well as a vegan Korean bbq taco while hubby ordered super fries as well as tacos. Vegan protein options are tofu or avocado. Our food was brought out quickly and was hot and flavorful. Since I haven't had kimchi before, I had it on the side of my quesadilla. I was pleasantly surprised that the vegan spicy mayo wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. Hubby really enjoyed super fries topped with tofu. Having I liked the contrast in taste between the tofu and avocado tacos as well as how compact they were. After finishing our dinner at this restaurant with such delicious food and friendly attentive staff, we will definitely be back to explore more of their vegan food options. read more

First restaurant I've tried in Riverside, and wasn't disappointed! I was first introduced to Korean/Mexican fusion in college in LA so I was really excited to find something similar nearby. - Bibimbap burrito with spicy pork: Surprisingly not as heavy as it looks/sounds. It was loaded with veggies and all the flavors complemented each other so nicely. The fried egg was a nice touch. Spicy pork wasn't too fatty (or spicy). - Kimchichanga with spicy pork: My friend ordered this and I just took a couple bites, but it was really good! While it's definitely more on the indulgent side, the layer of fried batter is relatively thin. Tons of flavor. The spicy mayo drizzled on top was a little over kill for me and I felt like it took away from the other flavors, but overall really tasty. I definitely want to come back during happy hour to drive some of their other snacks. There's free 2 hour parking, but I'm sure if you stay longer they can validate for you. Pretty casual vibe, I could definitely see myself meeting up with friends after work for happy hour. So I had been wanting to try this place out. I always check beforehand to make sure a place is open. When we came here there was a sign on the door that stated they would be closed for about an hour.. so we left.. We came back maybe a month later, and there was another sign that said they closed early! This made me not even want to go back but I was curious as to how their food tasted and I wanted to know if there would be another sign on the door lol Finally.. third times the charm.. it was open! There was quite a few people in there and only one guy running the place who I think was an owner. I would hire staff asap if I were them. It doesn't look good when there's one person just running around and you don't get the best service since everything seems rushed. Everything took a long time but with the short staff I can see why. It's +3 for bulgogi, which sucks. Should be the same price as all the other meat regardless of popularity. So $6 for one taco is kinda ridiculous. The meat tasted good but the taco wasn't good like I had hoped. I had envisioned something like tacos from kogi which are also Asian/Mexican. I wouldn't go back. Ugh, it's complicated. I loved my order- I got the Kali Burrito, and it was sooo delicious! But it took FOREVER to get to the table and there was only one other party in the restaurant on a Saturday night. Also a burrito of that size for $16 is a bit criminal. I discovered this place on a trip to Veg & Go Plant-based. I'm always looking for places with interesting plant-based options and Kimchichanga has yet to disappoint. The parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza, so make of that what you may. I usually am able to find parking no problem. Plenty of seating inside and I think outside as well. Wheelchair accessible. I've only ever ordered to go. When I did use the restroom, they were clean. Customer service is on point.Sometimes they do close early tho. But let's get to the food. My girlfriend, her family, and I stopped by here for dinner after enjoying the Festival of Lights event nearby. I ordered the Bulgogi Kimchichanga and I was able to try my girlfriend's Bulgogi Super Fries, both of them were amazing as far as Korean Mexican fusion dishes go. Needless to say by the end of the night I was slouching back into my chair, dazed by the food coma that quickly took over. P.S. It cost $18.49 after tax for just the burrito, and the portion was very small for the price. The food was just okay and didn't taste like Korean style. Ever since my brother's gf planned on moving to Riverside, me being the food loving person that I am, immediately began scoping out new places to get some good eats and Kimchichanga always popped up top on the list always. Parking can be validated here for 2 hours and there's plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating near the fountain. There's a bar inside too and it's a pretty nice place to get lunch or dinner. Think a bit more upscale Mexican themed casual restaurant if that makes any sense. Since we were already pretty satiated, my partner and I just opted to try one thing from their menu and of course we had to get the dish of their namesake, the Kimchichanga. We got the spicy pork Kimchichanga and it is definitely one of the more unique Asian fusion dishes that I have tried. This deep fried burrito comes with filled with spicy pork, kimchi fried rice, beans, cheese, spicy mayo, sriracha, green onions and sesame sauce. The fried tortilla of the burrito had a crisp outside and a doughy interior that reminded me so much of a Chinese donut (Youtiao). I really enjoyed this. It had an alright amount of KBBQ pork, unfortunately not really spicy at all. Just a very subtle sweet spicy, like a gochujang sauce. It's probably more for aesthetic purposes (since it's cut into 4 pieces) but the toppings were layered more vertically, so you gotta take a more horizontal bite to get more of everything to taste, unlike how a traditional whole burrito is (if that makes any sense). The only things I felt that would have made this dish more enjoyable was if it just came with a little more meat (seasoned with more spice) and if there was more sauce on top. Probably should have asked for more sauce to go. Don't mind coming back here to try more of their menu...and potentially some of their boba too! read more

Well, this place is a bit meh. I felt the food was more oily than the dishes called for. In trying to mix two cuisines they couldn't master either. The kimchi quesadilla was the best out of the lot. the service is okay too, the waitstaff literally forgets about you and then comes back after a while only to disappear again. Some of the best Korean Mex fusion I've had! This full service place is close to UCR and has easy parking nearby. It's brightly lit and has a Catina vibe with its full service bar. The service was friendly and the food came out hot and quick. We all loved our dinners and took advantage of happy hour apps. The BiBimBap and KBBQ burritos were great as was the Ssam taco. Decided to do an update since they moved to a new location and now have a full bar. I went during a Saturday evening for dine in. The food was amazing as usual but the service wasn't that great tbh. I took forever to take our drink orders and then for the food time come out. We weren't really checked on much until they were trying to get us to leave (asking if we need boxes already). As for the drinks, I had their happy hour margarita. It was tasty but not very strong at all. I will continue to get food from here since the food is amazing, but I really think their service game needs to be stepped up. read more

And the fries were yummy and not too salty. While waiting for the food, I had a drink with my partner at the bar. Richard made my green apple mojito while Munther made run & coke for my partner. Then it was topped with cheese, sauce, sriracha, green onions, and sesame seeds. Definitely 10/10. The service was okay, but maybe can be improved. I tried ordering ahead of time because I was in a rush, but none of their methods seemed to be working properly. I called twice, each time I was sent to voicemail. I then tried ordering directly through the website and that unfortunately didn't work either. I decided to take my chances on time and order at the restaurant hoping it wouldn't take too long for takeout. It was about a 20 minute wait, which was fine, but I would have much rather preferred being able to order ahead. The employee that took my order was friendly, but seemed to be new because they were not too familiar with the menu items. Overall I'd say service is 7/10 The inside of the restaurant appeared to be clean upon entering, but I did sit down at one of their tables to wait and there was a ripped off fingernail on it :/ that was pretty gross.
