I like the burritos from here and the salsa selection is good. They have four hot sauce offerings and each was really good on its own. I like the tortillas, they really hold up well and didn't rip at a time. The burrito filling is good but what I hate is that it wasn't consistent. Like I could have two ingredients throughout and get a pinch of avocado in the middle and a pinch of pico de gallo at the end. It's pretty uneven and that was disappointing. The staff is helpful and the dining room is clean... so I think I will be back and just mention that issue when I order. Hopefully that will improve the experience.

While the location is ideal and the place is clean and cute, the food is not good especially for the price. I ordered the surf and turf and it was a salad wrapped in a tortilla-- little to no meat. My husband and mom ordered breakfast burritos and they stated the eggs and meat lacked flavor. The green salsa was good the red had no flavor and the fries were tasty.

100/10 Delicious! We ordered potato taquitos, surf and turf salad and taco, and carne Adobada tacos. Everything was made fresh, w/ quality ingredients.and great service! Very clean, indoor and outdoor seating.

I am honest when I say that I was expecting more for something that cost me this much. I spent 16 and a half dollars on a Surf and Turf bowl that was smaller than something I could have gotten from a fast food restaurant. The only thing that I felt was positive was the smiling staff.

First impression walking in, I was hopeful because customer service was really great. Bright atmosphere with super friendly and welcoming workers. However, food was just OK. My husband got a carne asada burrito w/ beans. Most of his bites were just guac and the tortilla which was kind of a let down. We also ordered a side of fries and ended up getting chips instead. I will say the carne asada fries made up for it; they were pretty good. Other than that, I won't be going out of my way to come back here but I'm intrigued to see how the other food tastes.

Stopped by here on a whim. I was looking for breakfast burrito and this place seemed decent. It is located in the university village shopping center with lots of food options. Loved the vibe here. They had good music playing and since they had just opened, I was one of the first customers of the day. The gentleman helping me was very nice. It looked like they had an ordering kiosk as well but I didn't use it. I ordered the chorizo burrito. I wish I would have payed better attention because on Tuesdays they have $2 iced coffee. Would have loved to get one but I had already ordered and paid. I just had to wait a short time and my order was ready. Took my burrito back to the office and it was pretty good. It wasn't super greasy as expected. It had chorizo, hash brown, cheese and egg. I enjoyed it very much and would love to go back to try some lunch options and maybe an iced coffee.

I am very glad that I happened across this option at University Village! I was impressed by the freshness of the Pollo Asada Burrito and the Shrimp Salad Wrap. There a subtle uniquess of flavor in the meal, and the blue horchata really stood out as a tasty and unique treat! The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was fun My only complaint is that I don't believe there was a good mild option of salsa, to go with the chips in the combo. However, I believe that there are $7 salad wrap combos without chips, and I certainly plan to return!

I wanted to check Blue Burro out since I kept seeing the food and drinks on Instagram. Let me just say, it wasn't what I expected. The food is very average tasting and you don't get a lot of meat. I got the surf and turf fries and it was mostly fries unfortunately. It was also a small portion for $16 and nothing really tasted amazing. My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito and he opened it up to add salsa and it was mostly tortilla. What a bummer, I had high hopes for this spot. I also got a pineapple milkshake and it lacked pineapple flavor. The staff is super friendly, but I don't think I will be back. There's better Mexican spots around the area with more meat for the same price.

Great service!! They were extremely kind and offered sample cups to try their blue horchata, strawberry horchata, and agua fresca. We stopped by and got a blue and strawberry horchata because we were curious about the new place. It was a pleasant surprise and decked out in bright blue giving an inviting atmosphere! Will definitely be back to try their tacos and burritos.

Blue Burro! Delicious burritos and carne asada fries. The service was outstanding I believe Edgar took our Oder and easy to speak with . The vibe and cleanliness was also cool. The only thing I would consider in improving it the spicy salsa. Could have a better taste.

Food was overcooked. No flavor, service was good. That being said, despite their politeness the food was dry.

Location is near Mission Inn on Main Street. Price is on the higher end so plan to pay an average of $30/person. The only thing that was a bummer for us was the loud music for lunch hour experience. The music was loud and made me think it would be best for a club atmosphere? Maybe it was just me but I felt anxiety eating because the music was so upbeat and loud. Music is a big part of the eating experience. I know some people may be fine with it. For example, we had breakfast at Tio's Taco and the music was spot on for the dining experience.

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.

Their Mojarra for one, is amazing with some corn tortillas, beans and rice, and lettuce. The lime garlicky sauce on that one, is what I've been dreaming of. It was THE star of the show. And we also got their wet supreme burrito mojado, with the mole sauce all over it Also tried their agua fresca, loved the cucumber and lime flavor! Great size for two to share, and we had a blast just eating and enjoying the sights laid out to see. Their pickled onions got a spicy kick to it! I loved the added crunch instead of just having the typical hot salsa. Service was great, with the waiters and waitresses checking in on us every now and then, and I liked that we pay first then eat, so we just leave after we're done! Excellent experience as the weather was perfect too, the outdoor seating has some mosquitoes but be sure to go when it's not molting hot outside! I do wish there was a vegan protein thrown in like black beans or soyrizo or something to make it more filling but I'm glad there was a vegan option on the menu. There is a salsa bar that can help add to your meal like spicy pickled carrots, cucumbers, salsa and pickled onions. My favorite part of this place is the art decor. They're all made from materials that were bound to go in the trash, most notably cans that they open for cooking. So you'll see lids and the other material from cans beautifully molded into these structures. It may seem random but I found lots of humor and play thrown into the craftsmanship of it all. Some pieces are like playing I Spy. It was funner to see than a lot of museums I've gone to actually. It's truly just packed with art. I even got to meet one of the artists as he was working on something. He was really friendly. There's a few of them who work on them together and I learned they've been doing this since the 90's! How cool. It's so nice to see all the things they've come up with to create. Go check it out! Definitely a date worthy spot too. My bf and I had a lot of fun walking around seeing what they created.
