Located in University Village right off the 60/215 FWY near UCR with plenty of parking. I stopped here for lunch not expecting much, but I was wrong...the food was really good. They serve Burritos (including breakfast), tacos, quesadillas, rolled tacos, enchiladas, salads, wraps, protein bowls, iced coffee, and shakes. I had the Carne Asada burrito, and it was perfect...packed with fresh steak, salsa fresca, and legit guacamole. The staff is super friendly, from the register to the cook, making it a really welcoming atmosphere. Clean, cool vibe, and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. I stopped by Blue Burro on a whim during my lunch break. It is located in the University Village and super continent to get to. I came in not sure if what I wanted but was leaning toward the protein bowl until I saw an asada fry order for another customer and t was in that moment I chose Asada fries! Hahahaha The woman taking my order was kind and gave good customer service. And there were a few tables taken by other workers on lunch. The ambiance was chill. Overall I give the fries a 6/10. They look better than they taste the meat was dry/ overcooked so I pretty much ate cheese fries with guacamole. Although I would not order this again especially at about $15, I would try something else at this establishment. read more

I like this place when I am at Qamaria and want something tangible. My favorite thing is the EGG, CHEESE, BEANS burrito. So good and get some good protein from the egg. Plus it is like $8. The quesadilla is also great and a terrific value- $5 for a plain cheese quesadilla. Do not recommend the bowls. The taquitos were passable, but only tried the potato ones-might try the chicken ones in the future. read more

I like the burritos from here and the salsa selection is good. They have four hot sauce offerings and each was really good on its own. I like the tortillas, they really hold up well and didn't rip at a time. The burrito filling is good but what I hate is that it wasn't consistent. Like I could have two ingredients throughout and get a pinch of avocado in the middle and a pinch of pico de gallo at the end. It's pretty uneven and that was disappointing. The staff is helpful and the dining room is clean... so I think I will be back and just mention that issue when I order. Hopefully that will improve the experience. read more

Came into the blue burro to try the place out as I was in the shopping center and had never been there before. They have pretty good options with decent pricing for today's economy. The service was great and so was the food. I got a carne asada quesadilla and it was good. The combo came with fries and a drink. The ambiance was pretty generic for restaurants but the place was clean overall. They offer a sofa machine, but also have options of aguas frescas. Overall, good food, and good service. read more

They had good music playing and since they had just opened, I was one of the first customers of the day. The gentleman helping me was very nice. It looked like they had an ordering kiosk as well but I didn't use it. I ordered the chorizo burrito. I wish I would have payed better attention because on Tuesdays they have $2 iced coffee. Would have loved to get one but I had already ordered and paid. I just had to wait a short time and my order was ready. Took my burrito back to the office and it was pretty good. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito and then drove back to work to enjoy it. The size seemed fair, not too small or too large, about what I expect from a shop like this. Let me start by saying, I expected to enjoy this. I mean, I haven't had too many bad burritos. I can't remember the last time I had one I did not like. Until now that is. This was gross. It had a fishy smell to it. It had a fishy taste to it. I can totally tell that they cooked my asada steak meat without cleaning the flat stove off of the last fish taco or shrimp food they cooked. Now I like a shrimp burrito, and I love fish tacos, but I do not like my Carne Asada burrito to smell and taste like fish. It was so off putting that I could not eat it. There a subtle uniquess of flavor in the meal, and the blue horchata really stood out as a tasty and unique treat! My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito and he opened it up to add salsa and it was mostly tortilla. What a bummer, I had high hopes for this spot. We went in to finally try this spot and it did not disappoint. The cumber pineapple water is DELICIOUS and the Campechana burrito was yum! The burritos are a bit on a smaller side but very good. The nice young lady at the counter explained their menu and gave us tips on their most popular items. I opted for an california burrito. The asada had tons of flavor! Plus side is the burrito was hot! Which means they made it all when I ordered and it hadn't been sitting. Habanero salsa was delicious. My son got the quesadilla and his 7yr old opinion was ,"mom this is so good." My friend got the asada fries which were fine. I'm more of an authentic Mexican food lover.
