I like the burritos from here and the salsa selection is good. They have four hot sauce offerings and each was really good on its own. I like the tortillas, they really hold up well and didn't rip at a time. The burrito filling is good but what I hate is that it wasn't consistent. Like I could have two ingredients throughout and get a pinch of avocado in the middle and a pinch of pico de gallo at the end. It's pretty uneven and that was disappointing. The staff is helpful and the dining room is clean... so I think I will be back and just mention that issue when I order. Hopefully that will improve the experience.

The spot for Burritos!!! Great food, great service, definitely recommend to checkout. Good music while eating.

Came into the blue burro to try the place out as I was in the shopping center and had never been there before. They have pretty good options with decent pricing for today's economy. The service was great and so was the food. I got a carne asada quesadilla and it was good. The combo came with fries and a drink. The ambiance was pretty generic for restaurants but the place was clean overall. They offer a sofa machine, but also have options of aguas frescas. Overall, good food, and good service.

So...let me preface by saying I'm here like...at least 2-3 times a week. With that said, this is the healthiest, freshest, tastiest spot for burritos, tacos and taquitos. Also, my caramel iced offee made with cafe bustelo is a perfect addition. The service is ALWAYS the best. It's a great spot to hang and grrruuuubbb. I love this place soooo much. I can't get enough! My favorite are Blue's Famous Rolled Tacos and Adobada burrito. Yuuuuuummmm...

100/10 Delicious! We ordered potato taquitos, surf and turf salad and taco, and carne Adobada tacos. Everything was made fresh, w/ quality ingredients.and great service! Very clean, indoor and outdoor seating.

While the location is ideal and the place is clean and cute, the food is not good especially for the price. I ordered the surf and turf and it was a salad wrapped in a tortilla-- little to no meat. My husband and mom ordered breakfast burritos and they stated the eggs and meat lacked flavor. The green salsa was good the red had no flavor and the fries were tasty.

First impression walking in, I was hopeful because customer service was really great. Bright atmosphere with super friendly and welcoming workers. However, food was just OK. My husband got a carne asada burrito w/ beans. Most of his bites were just guac and the tortilla which was kind of a let down. We also ordered a side of fries and ended up getting chips instead. I will say the carne asada fries made up for it; they were pretty good. Other than that, I won't be going out of my way to come back here but I'm intrigued to see how the other food tastes.

I am honest when I say that I was expecting more for something that cost me this much. I spent 16 and a half dollars on a Surf and Turf bowl that was smaller than something I could have gotten from a fast food restaurant. The only thing that I felt was positive was the smiling staff.

Stopped by here on a whim. I was looking for breakfast burrito and this place seemed decent. It is located in the university village shopping center with lots of food options. Loved the vibe here. They had good music playing and since they had just opened, I was one of the first customers of the day. The gentleman helping me was very nice. It looked like they had an ordering kiosk as well but I didn't use it. I ordered the chorizo burrito. I wish I would have payed better attention because on Tuesdays they have $2 iced coffee. Would have loved to get one but I had already ordered and paid. I just had to wait a short time and my order was ready. Took my burrito back to the office and it was pretty good. It wasn't super greasy as expected. It had chorizo, hash brown, cheese and egg. I enjoyed it very much and would love to go back to try some lunch options and maybe an iced coffee.

I am very glad that I happened across this option at University Village! I was impressed by the freshness of the Pollo Asada Burrito and the Shrimp Salad Wrap. There a subtle uniquess of flavor in the meal, and the blue horchata really stood out as a tasty and unique treat! The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was fun My only complaint is that I don't believe there was a good mild option of salsa, to go with the chips in the combo. However, I believe that there are $7 salad wrap combos without chips, and I certainly plan to return!

I wanted to check Blue Burro out since I kept seeing the food and drinks on Instagram. Let me just say, it wasn't what I expected. The food is very average tasting and you don't get a lot of meat. I got the surf and turf fries and it was mostly fries unfortunately. It was also a small portion for $16 and nothing really tasted amazing. My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito and he opened it up to add salsa and it was mostly tortilla. What a bummer, I had high hopes for this spot. I also got a pineapple milkshake and it lacked pineapple flavor. The staff is super friendly, but I don't think I will be back. There's better Mexican spots around the area with more meat for the same price.

We're not usually the type to leave negative reviews, but after our experience yesterday, we felt…read moreit was important to share. We first visited on Valentine's Day in February and had an excellent experience. The pizzas were delicious, we were seated without a reservation, and we left excited to come back. Yesterday, we decided to bring a few friends with us because we had spoken so highly of the restaurant. We arrived a little after 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday, and the restaurant was fairly empty with only a handful of tables occupied. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was friendly throughout the meal. Each couple ordered pizzas along with appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Italian salad but were accidentally brought the Green Goddess instead. It was a harmless mistake, and since we had enjoyed that salad during our previous visit, we happily kept it. Our friends received their pizzas, and we assumed ours would follow shortly. Thirty minutes passed, and by then our friends were nearly finished eating. Meanwhile, we noticed several tables that had arrived after us receiving their food before we did. We asked our waitress to check on our order. She went back to the kitchen and returned, explaining that our pizza had apparently been forgotten and was only then being made. She assured us it would take no more than 10 minutes. Fifteen more minutes passed, and our pizza still hadn't arrived. Since we had a clear view of the kitchen, it didn't appear there was any urgency to get our order out. At that point, after waiting nearly an hour since placing our order, we had to cancel it because we had other plans and couldn't stay any longer. Our waitress apologized and removed the pizza from our bill, but that was the only resolution offered. While we appreciated her kindness, we left the restaurant disappointed and still hungry. Mistakes happen, and forgetting an order is understandable from time to time. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. After waiting an hour for a forgotten order, we had hoped for a more meaningful effort to make things right beyond simply removing the item we never received. It's unfortunate because we genuinely loved this restaurant after our first visit and were excited to introduce it to our friends. Thankfully, our friends enjoyed their meals, but this experience left us hesitant to return. Great pizza is important, but great service and how a restaurant responds when things go wrong are what keep customers coming back.

Ambiance is not the best, as the interior of the restaurant can feel dated--the art does not help--and the booths that comprise the bulk of the seating is private (which I love) but always dirty. Despite the service and ambiance leaving something to be desired, the lunch is great option in the downtown area. I do no recommend the breakfast--the potatoes lack flavor and many items are better made at home, imo. As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. On this particular trip, I wanted to try their new syrup flavor (it was some form of orange zest, or something similar?), but noticed my latte had no real flavor in it after a few sips. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.
