We were long-time customers years ago and had not been back since the new ownership. Yesterday I ordered a cold sub sandwich. Turkey and cheddar on a roll. The meager amount of meat was embarrassing. Barely detectable. The cheese was not sliced, but GRATED. And that dry, pre-grated cheese at that. It all fell off the sandwich with the first bite. It was absolutely awful. I've been wanting to try the sandwiches here but usually when I stop by the canyon crest center, it's for Isabella's cupcakes and I have already eaten. I finally went a couple weeks ago during my lunch. I got a jalapeno steak sandwich with a bag of chips to go. I really enjoyed the sandwich, but didn't realize it doesn't come with lettuce or tomatoes. Only comes with grilled onions, jalapeno spread, and pepper jack cheese. I'll have to ask for it next time. There's tables inside to eat and I think a couple outside. The stuffed spuds (baked potatoes) sound delicious and will be getting one next time I stop by. They also have salads, wraps, and breakfast. I came here a long time ago and remember their cheesesteaks and spuds were pretty good, but didn't try those today. The bread was drier than I would expect. Overall flavors were okay. Meat amount was minimal. The bacon was crispy and pretty good though. Total was around $15 for a sub, and I would say there are several sub spots local that have better quality subs at that price (my hero subs, tummy stuffers, etc). Bang for the buck, I would get the sun elsewhere (for both quality and size). I would come back and see if their potatoes are still pretty good. That's for a future review. read more

As soon as I entered I was not only greeted by a very nice gentleman and a sweet lady, but also by an amazing scent coming from the kitchen. I asked the gentleman in the front what he recommended since it was my first time and he gave me a rundown of the menu explaining what works best with each dish. I ordered a pastrami sandwich, a southwest salad, potato soup, and a noodle salad. Every dish I ordered was delicious. The chicken on my southwestern salad had so much flavor it made the salad pop.
