Sausage and egg burritos. Another one of my fav!

Baguette Bakery and Cafe catered an event I attended, and the food was amazing - fresh, on time, and a hit with everyone! My favorite was their breakfast burritos, with both the bacon and sausage options packed with flavor. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends! :)

I really like their cookies platter, and my favorites are their chocolate chip and brownies. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan and is very juicy and love the way they make it.

My fries were burned, borderline charred, and my bread had mold growing on it.

I've been coming to the Baguette Bakery since ~ 2010 when a pharmaceutical rep brought sandwiches from this bakery to my office. Back then, the Baguette Bakery had a glass case next to the register where they had delicious pastries. Today marks the end of having me as a patron. Part of the reason why the Baguette Bakery is such a hit is because they bake their bread fresh in-house. The sandwich I was served (see picture, area within black circle) had mold growing on it. A few months ago I dined at the Baguette Bakery and then stopped dining here because I had gotten food poisoning that evening and vomited. I thought it was because of something else I ate, but based on the food I was served today, it's very likely my food poisoning came from the Baguette Bakery. The fries they served me were practically burned and they put them on my tray and gave them to me. I don't know whether Isamar and the ladies in the back and the young workers don't care, but at this point, not having Tai's presence in the store more often is reflected in the quality of the food they serve. I'll be contacting the department of health to lodge my complaint against being served moldy food.

I've been coming to this Baguette for years! I ALWAYS get the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich on Ciabatta and it's delicious! Compared to 8 years ago when I came all the time to now their quality has stayed the same but they don't stuff the sandwich as much as they used to. Though I love the sandwiches I wish they filled it more with the other vegetables. I usually have to ask for extra lettuce and tomato to make sure I eat a decent amount. I love the spread they use in this sandwich also! Its not a huge place but It's a decently quiet place to study compared to Boba Tea House next door.

Ordered from DoorDash. Delivery was fine, but I got a Turkey sandwich, paid for extra meat and received a roast beef with literally 1 piece of meat. Not only was it wrong, The amount of meat is basically nothing. Will not be going back.

Portabello and steak on a baguette. $6 for this? Too much bread. Not much meat. Good tasting tho.

Found it! Late lunchtime visit. A small café with great potential for good food. The sandwiches are on the small side, but I can almost not hold a grudge.... if it is very good. And it was. But it came with nary a bag of chips, fries, or even a salad to plump it out. I saw many pictures on Yelp and reviews that talked of sandwiches with fries, but they didn't make it to my plate, nor was it offered, nor could I find it even listed as a side on the menu until I got home and got on their website. What gives? Are we still having a recession? If you serve them, counter girl, upsell, you ninnie! So, small grudge set aside, here is the why and wherefore: -Rosemary chicken wrap. $4.95. I went with a spinach wrapper (you get to choose your bread option for any sandwich). The wrapper went extremely well, ate it all (unheard of) especially because I tend to leave half the bread on my plate. Wish there was more chicken, but loved the refreshing lettuce, tomato, and cuke rolled up inside. The combination made the whole sandwich bright. -Aioli exceptional, served on the side. -Steak and portabello on baguette. $6.15. The baguette would have made mama proud. It tasted freshly baked, not dry. But why would I probably not order this again? The low ratio of meat and mushroom to bread and veggies. And I swear, the portabello further masked the fact there was little meat. I saw Mr. B's lip drop and he kept lifting up the top of the roll, looking, as if more would magically appear. It did not match the price at all. And frankly, the flavor of the meat/mushrooms was rather boring. The aioli is what made this sandwich ok. Just a few bakery items remained. Yep, the cupboard was almost bare, but I got to quell the question of how are the cookies. I got me an oatmeal raisin (no nuts)cookie. Well, actually 3. That is how many come in a bag, sold for $1.50. Good deal, but you gotta like undercooked dough, and you gotta have a sweet tooth. Usually my favorite, it was way too sweet for my palate. I would pass on this one unless I had a cuppa coffee with an extra shot of espresso. Now on the other hand, there was that brownie! Almost fudge-like. Hey! Is there someone in the kitchen who likes eating raw dough, or what? Still, it was good. So where are the nuts, guys? Bottom line to this run-on review? I would definitely order the rosemary chicken in any form, again. But I would not run out to the back of UCR just to get it. I know of too many very decent sandwich shops that, while less creative, give you more for your money.

It's a bit small inside, but they also have seating outside, which is nice if you want more space to sit and hang out. When I looked at the menu, I did notice the prices were a bit high. The small matcha was already around $8, so my friend and I decided to get a large Lagoon Matcha for $9 to share, which felt like the better deal. The drink itself wasn't bad, but I was honestly expecting a lot more matcha flavor. It mostly tasted like coconut water, which was refreshing, but there just wasn't enough matcha or cream to really balance it out. The matcha cream top itself was actually pretty good from what I could taste, but I wish there was way more of it. Instead of that richer, deeper matcha flavor you'd expect, it tasted more like a sweet cream with just a hint of matcha. I feel like if the ratio leaned more toward the matcha cream, it would've made the drink way better. The menu also mentioned that the Lagoon Matcha comes with coconut bits, which I was actually looking forward to, but unfortunately I didn't get any in mine. I actually had to go back inside and ask for more matcha cream because I could barely taste any matcha at all, and they were really kind about it and gave me extra, which I appreciated. Overall, the drink felt a bit underwhelming and disappointing, especially for the price. I really liked the concept and wanted to enjoy it more, but I just wish the matcha flavor stood out a lot stronger.

The inside has a really cozy and aesthetic vibe, and one thing I thought was super cool is that you can actually sit and draw, then put your artwork up in the shop. It gives the place a really creative and community feel that makes it stand out from other tea spots. The worker was super nice and helpful, especially since I was being really indecisive about what to get. They took their time to explain things and helped me decide without making it feel rushed at all. I got the matcha latte, and I absolutely loved it. It was smooth, well balanced, and just really comforting without being too heavy or overly sweet. I also tried a few drinks off my friends' orders, like the Assam + Oat and the Barley + Sea Cream. The Assam + Oat had a really deep, bold tea flavor that paired nicely with the creamy oat milk, making it smooth but still strong. The Barley + Sea Cream was more unique, with a light roasted, nutty taste from the barley and a rich, slightly salty cream top that made it really interesting and different in a good way. It's a really cozy spot that highlights the tea experience in a simple but thoughtful way, and I'd definitely come back.

Hoji shared the same parking lot with a coffee shop we're familiar with! On a Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of parking. When you walk up to the store, there isn't a sign on the outside. Before walking in, there's also a posted sign that says only 10 people at a time. We counted about 6 people, and proceeded to walk in. The decor is timeless and vintage. Super cool to look at and enjoy. We turned around and there was the cashier. It definitely is a small as can be. We took a bit of time looking at the menu and then deciding our drinks. We were a bit indecisive, but settled on their Rose Salted Cream and their Hojicha Black Sesame. The cashier was a bit interesting and didn't bother to help us or explain anything. He had us repeat our order a few times out of inattentiveness. It wasn't loud in there, but he definitely wasn't listening. Immediately after our order, he goes on his phone. Another worker had finished making a drink for a customer, and had to nudge the cashier to let him know the drink was ready. Even then, he wasn't on alert about it and made a face at the customer who stood up to grab the drink. Our drinks came out fairly quickly. We took our photos and left to sit in the car. It was quite small and stuffy in there. Our drinks were delightful! You can definitely taste the hojicha. The black sesame didn't overpower the drink, as for the rose salted cream, it was flowery enough. The boba itself was definitely handmade and perfectly chewy. I can understand why this store's drinks are a favorite. I deducted a star because of the service and attitude. We walked out the door saying goodbye, and even then, they didn't seem to care. The customer service here is lacking, but at least the drinks are decent. I might wait to see if any changes are made to their workers before coming back to try again.

But the flavor was nice and refreshing. The featured flavor was a nice Thai tea brown sugar with cold foam and boba. This was also a tad too sweet for my liking.
