It's easy to find, location is nice and the place itself is very nice and super clean! The sandwiches are epic! A whole is as large as my forearm and I'm tall lol, 2 people could easily share even a half! The bread was wonderful! We ordered two different sandwiches and the bread was the same yet different on each one. We got the Cuban and the bread was soft and sooooo delicious, the filling was substantial the cheese was really well melted and the ham was delicious! it was just a really good sandwich! We also ordered the Cappicola I added cotto salami and red onion and it was fabulous, the seasonings and meats were a perfect combo, the bread on this sandwich was more toasty, the potato salad was a great addition. You can't beat the price and Monday-Thursday from 3-8 you get $2 off any whole sandwich. The servers were very sweet, we were greeted as we walked in and helped right away. I only have this place a star because there was no half star available. I just have to say where's the meat. When I got my bag I thought they forgot to put meat in the sandwich. It was that light. I ordered a THREE meat sandwich for 17$. I should've went to Jersey mikes and spent 2$ more and got a real sandwich. First and last time. Never again. I still don't know how it got four stars. Tried the whole D'loaded Vegetarian sub with turkey pastrami and thought it was just okay. No olives, extra mayo. I almost thought that they forgot to put the turkey pastrami in there since there was only 2 thin layers of it. Tastes fine, but overall, the sandwich didn't wow me or taste any more interesting than a Subway sandwich. It was like $16 on Ubereats (extra $2.50 for the turkey pastrami). What an excellent catering experience! Choosing two multi-meat combinations recommended by a D"Elia"s employee, I ordered a platter for 12 guests, as well as a veggie sandwich for the one vegetarian in our group. The platter was really attractive. I received a text telling me it was ready 15 minutes before the pickup time I requested, so it was fresh and the shredded lettuce was cold and crispy when I put it out for the guests. My husband accidentally ordered me a roast beef sandwich with lettuce and tomato..... He called me to let me know what he had ordered me and I asked him to re-order as a hot barbecued beef sandwich. Well it came hot but soaked in barbecue sauce the bun was so limp and covered with barbecue sauce that I got a hold over my hands........ they gave him also and I tried it.... It had one thin slice of beef, on one side and one on the other side in between it was stuck with the lettuce and tomato was equally as bad as the other one. D'Elias Grinders are the bees knees! We absolutely love their grinders! We usually visit the OG location on university but decided to try their other location. This location was smaller but way more lowkey. We always order large ham sandwiches so that we can eat 1/2 there and have the other 1/2 later. Our friend ordered Turkey Pastrami and it was delicious as well. Nothing beats D'Elia's Grinders quality service and bread! Give them a whirl! They won't disappoint. read more

If you come here for the bread then that's what you gonna get alot of. And if you like hard crust then this bread will suit you. Just make sure you have a big mouth or you might cut your mouth cuz the bread has a very hard top. Do expect to get little meat. You will find 2 slices of meat unless you order pastrami if that's your thang. Just saying "honestly. Average $10 for regular and $16-19. For whole depending on type of sandwich ordered. We drive from San Diego to Delia's, that should say it all. We grew up in Riverside and have lived in San Diego since 1977, if anyone of us in our family goes to Riverside it is ALWAYS a requirement to bring home Delia's .....the best grinder and bread we have ever had. I remember going to the Delia's on Arlington Ave, and was crushed when it closed.. Then we had to go to the one in Down town Riverside...always the best never disappoints !!!! This place is so good! We went here for the first time we got the pastrami sandwich added mustard and pickles it was amazing! The pastrami melts in your mouth and the bread is toasted and soft inside. Can't wait to come back and try more sandwiches. This place is a must try!! This is a Riverside staple! This was my dads favorite place since the 60's at the original location, now all of kids eat here. You def won't be dissatisfied! When my husband and I were stationed in Las Vegas, our first stop on our way to visit family was always D'Elia's. Other than a few additions to the menu and a neighborhood upgrade, original is what's kept this place top of the list and an absolute favorite. The fries are killer and the cappacola grinder with extra oil on the side is to die for. The family who owns this joint are lovely folks. I was sent this coupon by Delia's, but the University location wouldn't honor their own coupon. The University location stated it has to be raining in order to get this deal, so in other words, they want you driving in bad weather and possibly risk your life, so you can get a discount. Pros are the bread and fresh ingredients. Cons are the price and lack of sauce. This place does not do a lot of sauce on the sandwiches. I thought I just ordered wrong the first time. Had my husband go in the second, still not a lot of sauce. Without it it's too bland. They also don't have provolone as a cheese option I prefer the sandwiches at Carlos Italian Bakery and Sub Station. read more

Been a patron of Delia's my entire life. My grand parents grew up in Riverside and my grandma has been going to the University location forever. Went to the Van Buren location and was disappointed. Its a rainy day and University location always does buy 1 get 1. They did not honor it at this location on a rainy day. Ordered macaroni salad they forgot to give it. Their fryer is broken so couldn't order fries. Ordered a sandwich with all the veggies they forgot several of the veggies. First off, when walking in no one was to be found and the phone was ringing off the hook. After about 5 minutes, all the staff members come walking out from the back room.
