Ok! I understand that prices may increase but shrink-flatiron seem to have hit Quik Stop Subs. I have been a frequent customer here for over 9 years and this will probably be my last visit. Quik Stop Subs have always been a alittle pricy but for what you received it was well worth the price. A fully loaded sandwich piled high with meat and veggies. Today I received a slim pickings of meat and veggies to the point where the sandwich looked like it was just a loaf of bread. I have a colleague that also went to Quik Stop that same day and we both had the same experience. I guess it's back to homemade sandwiches from now on. I'm sad to have to move on but I won't pay for a sandwich that is over $10 with a slice of meat and sprinkle of veggies. The service is still great. read more

It's about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon and the wife and I are heading out to La Quinta to celebrate her birthday. We are both starving to death and I can't wait until we get there. We are on the 10 Freeway heading east in Moreno Valley...I grab my phone, jump on my Yelp app and plug in SANDWICHES. Answer: Quik Stop Subs I didn't know where it was in relation to the freeway so you will have to trek another 5 minutes further than you want to but believe me it's worth it. I remember first driving by a Jersey Mike's and thought we could just go there but I went with my instincts and it paid off. This place is killer! It's in a non-descript retail center. It's very clean and smells just like an Old fashion Italian sandwich shop...fresh baked bread and fresh lunch meat and cheese. We were greeted by two lovely women, San and Nary. They both are GREAT! Super friendly and boy can they make a incredible sandwich. We ordered the 9" Godfather ($13.99) with ham, capicolla, salami, roast beef, turkey, and provolone cheese plus all the extras. Excellent! The sandwich was perfectly proportion (meat/ cheese/bread), but what takes it to the next level is the freshly baked, perfectly toasted house made bread. I use to always get the spaghetti from here and that's really good but recently I tried the #3 yankee (with light lettuce because I don't like shredded lettuce) and it was a real game changer. That's my go to sub spot now for actual sandwiches. You can call in a order for pick up (they're typically fast) inside it's decent size. There is seating to eat inside. This is probably one of my favorite sandwich places in the IE! If you ask what my favorite thing about this place is, it's the bread! Not only do they decently pack the sandwiches with meat and veg, the bread is amazing. To me, that's what can make or break a sandwich. The service is always great, even when the place is packed. First timer here and I thought it was pretty delicious. The quaint mom and pop sub shop is located in a small center behind the Chevron on the corner of Cactus and Ellsworth. When you enter the establishment it's like you're going back in time with all the Marilyn Monroe and James Dean pictures. I was brought here by a few of my co-workers who swore by this place and said it's the bread that really compliments the sandwich and boy were they right. I ordered the Godfather, because how could I not. It's the most popular sandwich and they advertise it on the outside of their establishment. I was last order and I went with the 9" sandwich, chips and a cookie. The total was about $20. I guess seemed about right. I wouldn't know because I was not given a receipt or the option to leave a tip. So ok, I stood there taking in the ambiance hoping I would know when my order would be ready. The lady came out naming the sandwiches so each of us just went with the one we ordered. Thankfully non of us ordered the same sandwich. I really wish I would have had the option to receive a receipt though. Once we got back to the office, my co-workers were a bit disappointed because they opened up their sandwich and it was not the same bread that they expected and raved about. Like I said earlier they went for the sandwich bread. There was maybe 2 of us that got the bread that they oh so loved. I will attest to this and say the bread definitely made the sandwich. Quik Stop Subs is a small "mom and pop" shop that offers a selection of hot and cold subs, salads, soup, and pasta. My go to here is The Godfather, from their Specialty Subs menu. THE GODFATHER is generously packed with ham, capicolla, salami, roast beef, turkey, and provolone cheese. I ask for "everything" in it (i.e., lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, Italian dressing, mayo and mustard) and it's served in a delicious, slightly toasted bread. I LOVE their bread here! It has that crusty and crispy exterior, with a chewy yet fluffy center. One bite in and I'm already hooked! I've also tried THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE (ham, capicolla, salami, and provolone cheese) and it was good but not as great as The Godfather IMO. By the way, their POTATO SALAD is phenomenal!! It was so good and easily one of the top 3 potato salads I've ever had. It is unique yet comforting at the same time. It's creamy and highly addicting. I can't even replicate it if I could. You have to try it for yourself. The customer service is fantastic and it really shines. The sweet lady is always so friendly and cheerful. I can tell she really values her customers. Although it's a small shop, they actually have about half a dozen tables inside and a few unshaded patio tables outside. Inside the shop, there's a wall full of Marilyn Monroe posters, as well as James Dean. To the side, you'll even spot a Marilyn cut-out. Being so close to the March ARB, they have a wall honoring and supporting military and veterans. I love that! There's plenty of parking right in front of the shop but the lot is shared with the neighboring businesses. As mentioned earlier, they are located just north of the March ARB on Cactus and Elsworth in Moreno Valley. They are behind the Carl's Jr. in what looks like a run-down business plaza. Overall, I am a fan of Quik Stop Subs. It's a simple and welcoming shop with friendly employees and loyal customers, with a selection of fantastic subs and homemade potato salad. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. Be sure to check their business hours to make sure they're open. HOLY COW !!! Quik Stop is located in a shopping center off Elsworth in Moreno Valley, just east of the 215. The location itself is on the small side with about 8 tables inside and 3 small tables out front (no shade). The decor features James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, and my favorite part is their honor to the men and women in the service - showcasing many photos from March Air Force Base (which is also a huge part of the their customer base). You will come here and often see them in their uniform including police, fire and CHP. Their food is amazing. Best sandwiches in town, hands down. Full of flavor and don't get me started on how good the bread is. Prices are extremely fair . They also have yummy potato salad and macaroni as well as cookies the size of your hand. . It's better than Subway, better than anything I've ever eaten between two pieces of bread, and honestly, maybe better than most of my relationships. I took one bite and immediately forgave everyone who's ever wronged me. If this sub asked me to join its crime family, I'd say yes without hesitation. Tuesdays are my days to be in the office at March ARB. After picking up my dry cleaning I came here. I hadn't been here in years. This eatery has been here for a long time and appears to have changed management. They serve up classic diner fare nothing fancy but they do not skimp on the portions! It was pretty crowded with most of the tables occupied and the line to order was long. I was thinking of leaving but then looked at the menu and decided to stay. To speed things up one of the workers was going down the line and taking orders handing out the tickets to present at the counter. Smart! I ordered the 6 inch tuna salad sub with all the fixings along with a potato salad and iced tea. They were filling orders as fast as they could. Prices are very reasonable when compared to places in Temecula. The place could be bigger as it was was pretty crowded with the number of tables present and it appeared a majority of them were full. It was difficult to find a place to stand without invading somebody's space. It's very casual and a bit kitschy since the walls are peppered with posters of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and James Dean. They have full size displays of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean in the already too small space. One wall pays homage to the military displaying a variety of wing, squadron & group patches both old and new. There are some outdoor tables, which could use some shade. The wait wasn't short but not unbearably long. I happily took the order to go. Everything was delicious. The potato salad was incredibly good! I plan on returning to sample some of their other fare but I will be sure to call ahead first! I apologize that in my hunger I forgot to take a photo of my food! Mediocre and will not revisit ever again. I have been working at the base across from this place for about 18 years and have heard nothing but good stuff about this place. However, when I finally decided to give it a try, they got my order wrong, I was very clear. I didn't find out until I got back to my place of employment. Went back to get my order corrected which they did, took some time (didn't' know it took lengthy amount of time to make a sandwich which only has meat, cheese and salt and pepper), but they took quite some time (mind you there were seven people that were behind the counter).. Gave me the corrected sandwich; which again had a problem. I am allergic to certain vegetables, but do enjoy the occasional sandwich, the workers there, just scrapped the vegetables off the bread prior and used that. Very unprofessional and I do regret the time I spent there when I could have went to a better luncheon. I even regret tipping them for not doing nothing but taking my order. Disgraceful and good luck to all of you with your rave reviews. One more thing: I even called and told the lady that they used the old bread, a man answered I told him my isissue, and he just handed the phone to somebody else (maybe he shouldn't be picking up then? Just a suggestion), the lady asked the team and said dishonestly, that they didn't use the same bread it was new bread, even though there was lettuce and an impression of tomato on the bread. I am retired military and have been reading the comments section, if this place doesn't provide military discounts but acts like it represents and honors the military (they have frames with base patches), then I honestly don't know why the military members would eat there when the shop is just putting up a facade to get business and there are WAY better shops that do honor military members. There's 50s memorabilia all around. Tables decorated with pretty flower table covers. We ordered the Golden Gate combo, #3 Yankee Clipper, the #7 Big Chicken, and a large green salad with dressing. All sandwiches were the 6" size. Upon getting our orders, the sandwiches were hot and we devoured them so fast. They were just that good! The bread was toasted just right, adding that extra bit of crunch. The salad was a typical green iceberg salad. Rating was minus one star, as when I placed the order for the #3, I said no onions but those were on it along with peppers which I don't like either. I just removed them from my sandwich.
