The desserts were delicious, to which you could notice the fresh flavors. The owner was helpful and provided input. Highly recommend, getting the variety tray so you could taste the difference in each piece.

I've been here before a year ago and the sweets were ok. I didn't make a review at the time, but I went over the weekend and I had to share. There wasn't that many options as compared to other Middle Eastern sweets. The warbee had a weird taste and I think it's the simple syrup. They don't look that professional as compared to other places. I bought the harsa it's OK. But I know if it was homemade from home it would taste a lot better. I don't like the flimsy plastic trays they put it in and I noticed when she cut them to put it in if they were very hard so I don't know how old they were. And when biting into them, they fall apart. Not sure if I'll be back, but I think that if you got there in the morning, things would be fresher. But then again they should be fresh at around 3pm.

another successful trip!! :- ) My friend was in love with the almond baklavas; I'm so glad I got to take him this time to try it out.

I still have a honey buzz going. The Mediterranean Bakery is THE place for baklava and similar baked items. This is a takeout bakery, for they only have 2 two seat tables by the window. The pic of their showcase is only half of the items they had for sale. We limited our sampling to only 5 items: 3 types of Baklava, the Bird's Nest and Kataifi with mixed nuts. This bakery has figured out the art of using honey to add sweetness, yet not so much to melt the enamel off your teeth. Don't misunderstand, these treats are still sweet. The nuts were still crunchy and dense. But a key goodness was the use of the phyllo dough. The phyllo dough sheets were still flaky and airy. The shredded phyllo dough (kataifi) used in the Bird's Nest and the Kataifi with mixed nuts was still crunchy even though it had been soaked in honey. The location is tucked away in a strip shopping center on Tennessee with tough traffic, but it's well worth the effort of finding them.

Loved the baklava and all the chocolates they had! Great customer service, I will definitely be returning

Found them on Yelp! Loved the experience and all the selection. Customer service was great, and she even gave me a taste test. Went in for a baklava and left with multiple desserts. Great location and selection. I will definitely be returning You have to try the chocolate selections

The real deal pastries AKA baclava with pistachios or almond or walnuts. Or a mixture of all. Great service. Great gift idea. Incredibly delish.

Great food, service, and even the lattes are amazing! Really opened my pallet to Mediterranean . Plus it's a local business which I always am in favor of!

Yummy baklava! The pistachio was my favorite. Can't wait to go back for a party platter of desserts! See you soon.

Glad I did because it was fresh & delicious. I ordered a Build-A-Sandwich & you will see in my picture how fresh & well stacked it was. Sandwiches come with chips. I also ordered a Village Mango ice tea which topped off the meal. It was refreshing with the splash of pineapple & mango pieces being a treat at the end of the drink. The 2-workers were very friendly & served me within 5-minutes after I filled out my sandwich order. Of course I got some chocolate to go but I gotta try the peanut brittle next time.

Also got a pecan popcorn bag and some white chocolate over honeycomb. Everything tasted like it was from the 10-day old bakery. All the cookies were stale, hard, and lacked flavor. The popcorn was chewy and also lacked flavor. The white chocolate honeycomb was hard and just not good. Every item we bought couldn't be finished because it was stale and just plain unappetizing. We ended up throwing everything out. So disappointing. Had to go to Cookie Crumble to satisfy the craving. Was trying to keep it local without going to a chain, but there was no comparison. Do better Village Candy. We want to support our local businesses but the quality has to be there.

I hadn't been in a few months, and decided to drop in this morning to eat, have coffee and edit photos on my laptop. During the several hours there, I got to overhear exchanges between customers and staff. The morning shift boys were young, but friendly. Let me tell you, once the day shift crew came on, the energy shifted. Andy, I HIGHLY recommend you replace the tall, thin guy with the glasses. The whole time he was there, he acted as if he didn't want to be there. He was rude, stand offish, and completely disregarded customers. As soon as he BLATANTLY ignored a female customer who was trying to have a conversation with him but gave attention to her male counterpart, I was over it. Listen, I get it, he might have not wanted to entertain someone's story. But customer service means to acknowledge the customer and treat them with respect. I can't even count the amount of times I've divulged in conversation with people I didn't want to, but I still treated them like a human. The woman was visibility upset about how off putting he was. I packed my things, went over to the woman and told her feelings were valid because he had been dismissive towards others ever since he came in. I know you're not going to care about my review, I know you're not going to lose much money if I never come back. But people need to aware what kind of employees are here. As for the food and coffee - The ingredients no longer taste fresh on the breakfast pizza. It tastes cheap and rushed. The iced vanilla latte I had was mid at best, I forced myself to finish it. Which is disappointing because I have loved both for years. I think the young boys need some better training on how to make coffee, but at least they were personable. The young guy with long curly hair - keep up that positive energy. You're gonna go somewhere. Highly recommend bringing Quay back full time, maybe make him a manager or part owner because every time I've been there and he's makes the pizzas, everything is He's a staple, and is clearly loved by all the customers who were happy to see him when he walked in. Also, maybe put the birch back on the empty corner wall, looks like someone ripped it off and it looks bad.
