Not terrible but not great for my tastebuds. I saw some social media videos going viral and I was swindled by the looks. I was excited to try the pear fritter with ginger but that was a seasonal item. I was also excited to try the sprinkle donut, that was also a seasonal item. I was a bit disappointed. I went with an olive oil butter donut, chocolate raspberry, orange blossom (not my usual flavor), a regular glaze, and chocolate sprinkle. They looked delicious but they did not hit. They had to much flavor on the outside but it wasn't a unique taste. The dough was not soft, but rather dry for a regular and cake texture donut. I taste tested each of them and did not have a favorite.. I'm embarrassed to admit I threw them away the next day. Service was good, I did feel pressured to choose something as two workers were helping me, I think one was in training. The ambiance and vibes were nice. The Deaux Tres Leches cake donut was heavenly soft with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a strawberry slice. Mixed Feelings. Wanted to try this while visiting Redlands and had an idea of what to expect based off social media. First, the service was great. There was really only one employee helping at the front but it was near closing and just us ordering - with 3 others who were already there when we arrived. I do not get her name but she was friendly, sweet and informative about what they currently had in stock. It's small on the inside but there is some seating. It was hot inside though and not comfortable - it was hot outside but felt better due to the breeze at least. I hope it's not like that everyday for the employees' sake. We ordered the Omelette, Blueberry Basil & PB&J. I did enjoy the Omelette - it comes with a thin layer of chipotle aioli but they also give you a side if you want more. For me not being a big spicy person, but liking some, what it was made with was perfect. The other two were meh but honestly, we are more simple donut people. I was exciting to try more the savory side and I did enjoy the omelette. However, I do not think I'd be back. Cute spot but just not for me. We always like to try new places that we see on social media and are always on the quest for the best donut. This wasn't it. We ordered with door dash to make sure that we didn't have to wait too long since we heard that that the place can get busy at times, especially during weekends. I ordered the maple breakfast donut which on door dash had all the specific ingredients called out but lacked to mention that the maple stood for maple sausage. I am a vegetarian and took a big bite and was thoroughly surprised and dare say disgusted to have bitten into sausage. I brought it back and they told me that it was maple sausage and I had to buy a new donut. Luckily door dash takes care of you but the store didn't really care. We bought several other donuts. My wife liked them, where to me they were way too yeasty. Give it a try for yourself but this one is not for me! A consistently outstanding experience with Deaux!!!! So I recommend getting a half dozen and offering a beautiful donut charcuterie for friends/family! We did that for my sister in laws birthday and it was fun! Everyone had a different favorite I loved the strawberry shortcake donut. It was baked absolutely perfectly and the inside was moist and delicious. The old fashioned is always a hit and perfect with coffee or tea. The pistachio was a beautiful light flavor. First time going to Deaux and she saw them on social media; known for their unique flavored donuts. Decided to get some for us to try. They are located in Redlands on corner of Citrus Ave and Ninth St. I found parking luckily in the front and went inside. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and smelled the donuts that were be being fresh baked. Ordered: Lavender Honey, Tahini Passionfruit, PB&J, Carrot Cake, Blueberry, Mini Donut Chocolate w/Sprinkles. Carrot Cake was delicious and moist. Could taste the carrot flavor and the frosting was creamy; perfect combination in my personal opinion. For the Blueberry, could taste the berries and the frosting. For the PB&J, you can especially taste the Strawberry Jam with tartness. Mini Donut Chocolate w/Sprinkles was my daughter's favorite; especially the chocolate being gooey. My overall experience was great and we enjoyed the donuts. Next time I want to try the Tres Leche and the French Toast Brioche before it is sold out. Came on a Saturday morning. There is only street parking or a little spot behind the buildings. I really wanted to try their banana donut but it was sold out already. Had to choose from what was remaining. I got an old fashion, mole hot chocolate, and mini donut. Boy these are expensive donuts the total for just 3 was wild and the taste did not live up to the price I honestly didn't care for any of them they were not sweet enough for me. They were not crispy they did not give off donut vibes. They were all pretty though. My favorite thing was and the only nice thing I have to say is about the marshmallow whip cream on the mole hot chocolate it was nice but also could be sweeter to me. My blueberry French toast fritter was burnt at the bottom with not a hint of French toast flavor, the lavender pistachio cream donut had the consistency of mashed potatoes with an overpowering lavender taste, the passion fruit sesame tahini had the flavor of a weird salsa verde n earthiness of tahini, with a super tart passion fruit hit which confused my buds, the olive oil glaze n salt was nice but lot of bread, it feels like I can cut it in half and put some eggs bacon n cheese. These are legitly the best doughnuts I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients is unmatched. You can taste the love put into each Deaux. My personal favorites were the saffron vanilla creme doughnut from their winter menu and the arancini pastrami doughnut ,the blueberry basil from their spring menu and the potato savory doughnut they have for the spring time. They change seasonally which means they use seasonal ingredients. In a world that's becoming increasingly more expensive and deceptive with marketing and lying to the public about the quality of a brand. There is absolutely NOTHING deceptive about deaux they really care about their clientele and believe that not only should food be fresh, beautifully made but it also tastes like my abuelita made it or someone that loves you dearly and you cannot find that with companies anymore but you find that with deaux. I do have to say, they are artisan donuts so there is a lot more work that is put into making them. I enjoyed the savory donut, but wished they would offer to warm it up for you to eat. I was here at Deaux once before, but due to them selling out and closing shop after sellout, I didn't get a chance see their donuts nor step inside their shop at that time. Well, I was nearby recently and decided to give them a chance to WOW me with their famous savory and sweet gourmet donuts. I call them gourmet donuts because each donut costs $4.75 or up. That's one pricey donut. Is it worth it? You'll have to be the judge of that. Fyi, if you get half or full dozen, you may save a few dollars. I got 1 dozen plus 2 sets of the same 3 donuts. They come in pretty green boxes... I would have preferred my donuts didn't touch one another. The topping of each donut touched the bottom of the neighboring donut... it wasn't that pretty for photography. I shared the donuts with my dear Yelpie friend and her family... hope you enjoyed my friend. They have a few savory donuts such as omellete, pastrami, and bacon date goat cheese. They ran out of pastrami when I was here and that's okay because I don't eat beef anyway. Got the omellete which was really good... I like the texture of the bread... it had lots of egg filling. I didn't get the bacon date goat cheese one. Maybe they will make a veggie donut one day. As for the sweet donuts, I was slightly disappointed. They were very thick and dense. Good size donuts though. If I had to choose my top 3, it would be the Old Fashioned (it had a nice crunch), Orange Blossom (love the zesty flavor), and Vanilla Bean (just simple, but density could be lightened). My youngest daughter liked the Seasonal that had dates in it. My eldest daughter said the donuts were just okay. Funny, both my daughters and I couldn't tell the difference between Olive Oil & Salt and Vanilla Bean. They both tasted the same to us. There were also the Miso Caramel Banana (not bad, but can't taste the miso and caramel), Chocolate (just okay... it would be better if bread wasn't that dense), and Lemon Ricotta (my least liked... couldn't taste the ricotta). Staff was extremely friendly, nice, and hospitable. Service was impeccable. Thank you all! Variety of donuts was a bit limited during my visit. Eleven was available to choose from... got 9 and 2 didn't make it in my boxes. Prices are a bit pricey IMHO. Ambiance was cute and cozy. No inside seating, but they do have a few tables and chairs outside. They sell coffee and swag, too. Will I be back here? I definitely will for the omellete and perhaps to try their other savory donuts plus give their sweet donuts another chance to WOW me. Btw, the x in Deaux is silent. The first time we went to deaux, we had the most amazing lemon ricotta donut. Sadly, no donut that we've gotten after that has lived up to it. We found the orange blossom to be a bit dry. The pb+j did not have enough peanut taste or filling. The lavender honey was pretty good, lots of cream, but had a note of something that didn't taste quite like honey. It had very pleasant lavender flavor. They do sell out, so be prepared with backups or go earlier in the day. read more

The rhubarb flavor tasted very fresh. Also loved the tres leches. The donuts are pricey so just be aware, they're more like gormet donuts for a special occasion. I don't live in the area but had heard about this place at some point possibly through IG or YouTube so I had it saved on a list. Well, I'm glad I stopped by! I got there about 40 minutes before they closed so it seemed like maybe they didn't have all their options available but the nice girl helped me select the omelette donut (which I didn't even know was a thing)! She warmed it up and let me tell you this thing was PERFECT. Especially when dipped in the chipotle aioli they give you. It's $10 but think of it like a sandwich and it's a good deal. I ate half and saved the other half for my lunch later to dip with my soup (heated in the George Foreman for extra crispiness). I would eat one of these a day if I was nearby. They had arancini and pastrami donuts as well that I would try in the future. I got one sweet donut "the mulled wine" that was perfectly spiced as well (about $5). The "Andes" matcha was well made but didn't end up being to my taste. It felt more like a mint chocolate milk than a matcha-y flavor. For a small it's $8 which is a bit on the high end for 12 oz. Next time I would try their coffees as it looked like a good setup. If you're looking for a fun donut spot made with quality ingredients and helpful people working there then this is a MUST TRY. read more

Came in around 12pm and unfortunately some of the flavors I wanted to try were already sold out for the day so maybe come early for a better selection. Downside: I didn't realize the dozen special was only valid for certain flavors ended up paying more than expected. The person behind the counter was helpful but I wish he would have said something about that before I ordered the other flavors.
