    Crispy Shrimp (6pc)
    Paul S.

I popped in here with friends while they charged up the Tesla nearby. Because I have limited experience dining with this chain I figured I would sample a few things. The beef and chicken combination sounded like a good place to start, and a side of six fried shrimp. It took under 10 minutes to be ready, so that's a plus. The shrimp were a little dry, and the hot sauce was a tad thin, but they tasted fine. The beef is better than the chicken in my opinion, it's not too dry and holds the marinade flavors, whereas the chicken is thin and easy to overcooked. The rice was fine and the atmosphere in the dining room was also good. However, I doubt I'd come here (or another location) because the food quality for the price doesn't inspire me to expand the palate.

The chicken was ok , not really anything crazy . I ordered double steamed veggies and got a plate full of cabbage and one piece of broccoli. This is honestly not worth the price . If they offer "steamed vegetables" you'd be inclined to think you'd get a mixed variety of veggies . Won't spend my money there again .

Lunch Meal - Teriyaki chicken, veggies and macaroni salad

I took a star off for customer service. The ladies were not rude but they were not nice or friendly either. When asked about the menu she really had no input and basically said to order whatever I like. I went with the teriyaki chicken lunch plate. I'm a huge fan of the chicken and veggies. If I was eating rice at the time I would have got that as well but the chicken and veggies were very tasty. As for the macaroni salad, I do not like it. It's too thick for me and the taste is off. Later I learned that the macaroni salad is made with tuna and that right there is exactly why I don't like it. I do not like the taste of tuna. The facility itself is pretty clean and well taken care of. I still continue to come back to this location. Thank you for making delicious chicken.

This place is one of our favorites. They have really nice people and very attentive, the place is always clean, the price for the food is not bad at all. I don't think I've ever had a complaint about this place which is good. We come here very often :)

Love their chicken, macaroni salad and spam masubi! Very quick service even for delivery. They also give good portions, this was enough for two meals!

    Chicken Combo

We came here this past Friday, May 3rd to pickup dinner around 6 pm. I ordered the Chicken combo: half Bbq chicken & half Chicken Katsu with extra macaroni salad instead of veggies. I opted for chicken combo over chicken & beef because it was cheaper. I still paid $15 which seemed excessive considering it was just rice, meat, & macaroni salad. There wasn't much chicken. I prefer going to mom & pop hawaiian bbq restaurants, but I don't know of any in this area. I would probably opt for something cheaper next time.

    Clean and welcomingly safe!

I had ordered crab Rangoon, spam masubis, extra steamed rice, and the bbq mix plate... what I got were two chicken plates with extra rices I can't even express how heartbroken I am! I wanted masubi!!

I usually get my food to go as I don't feel that it's that nice or comfy inside, but I've dined in before when I was in a hurry and it was fine. If I were to suggest one thing, it would be to allow for greater customization of the plates. You get your protein laid out on a bed of steamed veggies, a few scoops of rice, and a scoop of Mac salad. As far as I know, they don't allow substitutions. I eat brown rice but not white rice, so I would prefer to be able to swap it for extra veggies.

I believe at a certain point it was a Polynesian Mexican fusion restaurant based on photos, but during my visit, it's definitely more skewed to being a Polynesian restaurant. It's in a somewhat suburban area, so there's street parking and you may have to walk a bit, but we were able to find parking just right across. Park Avenue is a mini mart and shop, along with a restaurant. Hot foods, baked goods, shirts and apparel, jewelry, imported snacks and sweets, canned and jarred foods, and a fridge with some drinks and to go goods too. I was already super full already, but we were able to try a bit of the food and take the rest to go. Pretty generous portions and very unique food that is a bit more difficult to find elsewhere. We got the Taupou Plate which is a 3 item plate order with 2 side items. For this, we chose the lamb, turkey tail, and curry and for the side items we got the banana and taro. Interesting mix of sweet, creamy, savory, and umami. I'm not the biggest fan of turkey, but turkey tail isn't a very common "cut of meat" to order. Really rich, tender, and a bit greasy, but if you love turkey, this is perfect for you. Nice mix of flavors with this order and has the most variety. Definitely get this if you want a little bit of everything. Lamb meat was also moist and rich as well. Unique eats and great welcoming service as well!

I was sooooo hungry at the time, so it was probably me that misread, but I didn't realize they were going to be chicken tenders on tortillas. And I didn't think the Cajun sauce was going to be on top, I thought it was going to be marinated. "Huh.... OK... what is this?" Don't let looks fool you - this is a bomb of flavors that were SO GOOD. The Cole slaw plus the chicken plus the pickles (which I ate separately) plus the Cajun sauce.. it all WORKS. Brilliantly.
