I like their ceviche. It tastes different from your typical ceviche you get from any Mexican restaurant. I think they put OJ in it bc it has a citrusy flavor. It's well balanced, delicious, and unique. The shrimp gobernador tacos are bomb. Food is a little pricey but worth it. read more

This is a family owned business and fairly new to the area. We found this place on a whim. With all mariscos, it varies depending on the person making it and we all have our preferences. Personally I didn't really like it - kinda tasted more ketchupy to me. However, my boyfriend loved it. The service was very good. The cashier took the time to go through the menu with us. I must give this place a 5/5!! The shrimp taco alone was so delicious I recommend putting the contents served in a cup which are cilantro, pico de Gallo, lemon and some sauce so darn gooooood! I want to try roman my shrimp cocktail was okay it had too much ketchup or something made it taste sweet I added lots of lemon and salsa to counter balance but didn't help. My wife was craving some seafood so I went online to find a good seafood restaurant. According to Yelp, El Crazy Shrimp had a 4.5 rating, so we decided to try it. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. My wife ordered the large campechana, and it had so little seafood, my wife had to go back to complain and have the order corrected. The only seafood in it was shrimp. No octopus and no abalone. Even after the order was corrected, we were underwhelmed with the taste and portion size. I wanted to leave a review because they don't have enough to justify the quality of their food. Their shrimp ceviche was so good! I also purchased a Large shrimp cocktail to go. Definitely the best shrimp cocktail I've had! I couldn't stop eating it!!!! The service was excellent! The owner took care of me, provided a side of Mayo for my tostada per my request, came out the back to check it there was anything I needed and took a pic for his IG. My husband and I just finished eating at this place. It was really good! Very fresh and for the quality and quantity you get your money's worth. My husband are here at lunch today for the first time - he had a shrimp cocktail. He came home and told me he wants me to taste this shrimp cocktail because it is one of the best he's had in his life and reminded of the shrimp cocktails back in Ensenada circa 90s. Lol I agreed not thinking much of it. Well, that shrimp cocktail was really fresh and not only that but it had a unique taste to it. So this is a difficult review to make. I've been to this place several time in the past and loved it. Great food and quick service. However, today was a horrible experience. We had to wait for over an hour to get our food with no explanation. Saw others get thier food before us as well. Once I finally got my soup it was way salty. This place is a 10 out of 10. I've never seen this spot before, but when I decided to stop at a place next door this place had caught my eye. From the moment I walked in I had this wonderful aroma of good quality cooked food like, the (smell of pine in the air in the forest) "used to describe how the smell encased the room" but more relative to food, the wonderful decor made me feel like I was out on the water, but even better the selection of food. I've only had this type of food on a short number of occasions due to so many places just messing up the quality control and the taste of the food being overly salty, bad textures, and horrible smells. But this place was the opposite it the food was absolutely remarkable, from the shrimp soup, to the shrimp tostadas, and to the campechana de Camerones was my favorite. 10/10 loving friendly staff, great vibe, and absolutely best food this side of movale.
