Saw these guys on TikTok and we honestly had to try it! I got the papa with carne asada and shrimp, which was about $18 since it had two meats. First bite review: My first bite was all carne asada and let me tell you, this asada would have been amazing in a taco too. It was seasoned so well. We had an hour drive home and it was still hot and fresh when we got home. The guy that took our order was funny and chill. The shrimp was also seasoned so well, when I watched them scoop the meat onto this potato my mouth was watering. The potato is seasoned well, not too salty. If it wasn't potato id eat this every day! The food truck looked clean and they had everything ready in the back to serve! Not interested in this place any longer. Followed on instagram and placed an order via text at 645pm for murrieta location on Saturday . Went to try and pick up and was told they have none left. So maybe a better system needs to be put in place for ordering when it comes to their instagram and in person ordering. I will be unfollowing and looking for another food stand that has a better system for ordering or at least updating customers if you are active on social media. read more

Okay, so first impression, the place is *way* out there. Like, seriously off the beaten path, you know? It's definitely not your typical whatever-it-is, that's for sure. Kinda quirky, maybe even a little weird, but in a good way? You'll see what I mean. When you arrive, you park in a dirty area outside of somebody's home walking up the driveway, you can clearly see they have a professional business. The food truck is what's used to go off Site locations, but using their backyard is clearly the go to method. They're relaxing shaded environment with plenty of seats. Great serene and ultimately great food, with some of the great drinks that you can expect from a mom and pop spot. This is a must try. I've been a loyal customer of Papas El Guero since 2023, and I've always enjoyed their loaded potatoes. The flavors are solid, and the potatoes are tasty! Buttt GIRLLL I have to be honest the prices have been climbing quickly. When I first started coming,a regular potato was $12. Between these past two years they've gone up $12+ I've kept up, but today I stopped by at the Riverside location and this 6in x 6in potato (w/two meats) is NOW $21. I completely understand inflation and rising costs, but even as an occasional treat, this feels steep...well for me... especially considering the portion size. I've also noticed other potato spots offering similar options for significantly less. & they taste the SAME The potato itself tastes good, but at this price point, it's hard to justify regular visits. So this is one of my bosses favorite spots. She actually waits until the bring out the food truck. Not me, I find the spot. This is the cutest little spot. It's located in a neighborhood behind a house. The food is delicious and they give you a lot of it. If you are a potato person like my husband this is the spot. So our work got us their food truck. I love baked potatoes, so I was excited to see what this was about! I forgot to take a picture of my potato because it was SOOOO GOOOOD!!! It's massive!!! I had bacon and chorizo as toppings on mine and it was delicious! 5/5 They also had Carne asada as a topping that you can choose from. There was 3 different options for drinks: strawberry, mango, and a kiwi something. I personally had the strawberry and it was ok. 3/5 I'd most definitely eat at this food truck again. read more

To come and try this potato I had business in San Diego, but decided to come up to Riverside because I have been following you guys on Instagram for at least a year and a half to two years! I'm a fan of this baked potato food truck. They've got these giant potatoes filled with every topping you could think of. It really helped me get creative with my baked potatoes at home. The service time is fast at times, and slow at times so it's hard to give an estimation of what to expect time wise. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 4:35 and there was already a line waiting for them to open (@5pm). They opened promptly at 5pm and the line moved fairly quick. The woman taking our order was nice and the guy at the register was very pleasant. We got the asada with shrimp, and both mango pina & dragonfruit agua Fresca. Well oiled machine for a backyard business. Staff is excellent and courteous. We chose our potatoes to go. I had the carne and my wife had bacon. These were still hot when we got home. Delicious and well balanced teasing those taste buds. I ate all of mine at one sitting while the wife made 2 meals for herself. Videos of their loaded potatoes caught my eye a while back and now that they are literally 20 steps away from me at the Rialto Farmers market I took charge and made it over to their bad ass food truck ! Food taste is great, the potato itself was nothing more than a standard I can buy at the grocery store. The service was a little slack but what can you expect when it's a food truck, especially in a city where we don't see them often! I paid $14 for a single carne with cheese and creams. This is for the Riverside location (off Tyler next to Target) it's the same people, so it should be the same as the Parris one. It was huge and had all sorts of flavor. I got it with Carne Asada, Chorizo & Bacon. The size of it doesn't make any sense, and it was overflowing with meat. I ate about half and was stuffed. It was under $18 and easily big enough for 2 people. My only disappointments were the jalapenos weren't as spicy as I like, and I don't think they put the huge laddle of liquid butter you see in all their videos on IG. But, it was still one of the best baked potatoes I've had. And where else can you go and order a big ass loaded baked potato in Riverside? Next trip I'll get the XL one, with how ginormous the regular is, I'm curious to see how they found even bigger spuds. I'll be a regular as long as they stay here. read more

I got a shrimp and asada potato and the taste is not there for the potato even after mixing everything together, only thing giving it flavor is the shrimp and asada but the asada was pretty bland and dry. Would not be going back the agua jamaica was bland tasted full of powders definitely not natural. The service was not that great either. read more

Line was only about 7 min food took maybe another 10. Cashier was prompt and friendly. Aqua Frescas we're thirst quenching! I ordered: Carne Asada Chorizo Mexican Corn Each one was warm and was packed with flavorful ingredients. I would recommend maybe doing pollo too but any of the current choice you can't go wrong. Oh my... The hubby has been talking about this place for months BUT seeing as how it's almost a 2 hour drive from us... We've been putting it off. gee I wonder why!! Lol Well this past weekend we finally bit the bullet and decided to go and take the drive to get the papas. I'm so glad that we did! The papas was not HUGE... It was the perfect size for one person to eat. It comes automatically with butter, sour cream, chives, cheese and chopped jalapenos. I got it with bacon but you can get it with carne asada or chorizo as well. You can opt to get all three meats at an added cost. I believe it was an extra dollar per meat. The papas came out piping hot and the potato was creamy and delicious!! Everything just melted together and it was delicious!!! The service was not the quickest but it was friendly and they gave you a number to come back and get your food. This stand was at the Christmas Tree farm so there was lots of seating but be careful because depending on the night it can be COLD! BUT the papas will warm you up! Lol I do wish it was closer but I think the hubby will eventually want to take the drive again to get these papas! read more

And then when I reached out to let them know. The response was this is how we make them next time ask for less. I'm sorry but that's just bad customer service. love love love papas el guero is my favorite food truck. the potato's are always cooked very well and always a nice size. the toppings match the portion size very well and one potato always has me feeling real good. always satisfied, everytime i get one i drive 40+ mins but always worth it. i get bacon and asada and always know what to expect, that same great taste. the salsa that they have is also really good i like to get about 2 on the side and they really do the job. i appreciate how they are always in really good spot where i can park, get my potato and eat, no worries about the area to much. the workers are also always very friendly and really quick, no problems there. read more
