    OG Bowl
    Melissa B.

Small restaurant, located in a small strip mall, that has big taste! Limited seating is available, but this is to promote quick take away service, and service is quick. Even when it's busy. I ordered the OG Bowl with Arrachera. The meat was incredibly tender and savory, topped with onions, cilantro and guacamole, and resting on a bed of rice, beans and cheese. The bowl was a generous size, but there was plenty of room for any extras you wanted to add from their fresh salsa bar, which offered three different spice levels of hot sauce. Hecho is a wonderful "taco shop" that provides excellent food and quality ingredients. These hearty meals are a perfect way to end a busy day.

Fire !! The meat taste like Al carbon love it recommend the vampiros!! Love the flavor the tortillas taste de maíz authentic to Baja ca style!

Ambience is pretty chill and casual. Service was fast. I have gone twice with friends and another time with my husband. The tortillas for the tacos and salsa could use some improvement. The tortillas are too thick, filling and they fall apart. The salsas didn't have a good taste nor spicy, pretty bland actually but the meat was delicious and well seasoned.

Very Good Food and Good People , try it and see. Very Good Burrito. Amazing customer service

Arrachera (Skirt Steak) Taco - Premium, I dressed this up with cilantro, onions, guac and salsa and it was delicious! Tender meat!

It's been a while since I've found a taco spot that has not just one or two good meats, but all the meats that Hecho Al Carbon made were delicious, flavorful, and distinct! I went in for dinner so there was already a line out the door but, surprisingly, it moved fairly quickly and we were able to snag a table just as another group was leaving. [ ORDERING ] Ordering was easy, simply walk up to the counter, peruse their digital menu board, and order there. The cashier will then give you a number. Take your number with you and find a table to sit in. Once your entire order is ready, they will bring the food to your table and collect your number. With the menu font being so small, I would suggest to the owners possibly making the font larger and having the menu display switch out every few slides so that people in the back of the line can view the menu -or- when business has picked up, buy additional TV monitors to have the menu displayed near the back so people entering will have an idea of what they want to order. The latter would make for quicker transactions at the counter. [ FOOD & DRINKS ] As I mentioned in my intro, the meats were delicious and they all had a different flavor, which I appreciated. In order to get a good idea of their food, we ordered a little of everything: * Surf & Turf Burrito with Arrachera - The Arrachera (skirt steak) was paired with juicy shrimp wrapped in a burrito. There was no need for additional sauce. * La Papota (Baked Papota) with Adobada - The marinated pork (Adobada) meat was more seasoned than the Arrachera. It had some coloring to it as it came out red but it was very bold in flavor. Just delicious. This was shared between our group and had to take most of it home. It's very heavy and easily shareable. We topped it with cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole (separate order). What a great value! * Guacamole and Chips: The guac here was more of a paste made to top tacos. It was still good but it's not the usual chunky style guac that I'm used to. Still great though! * Arrachera Taco - The meat was chunky and really tender. No hard pieces at all. It was delicious and it wasn't over salted. I topped it with the guac and salsa, cilantro and onions and lime juice. So good! * Chicken Tacos with Cheese (extra) - While the cheese cost extra, it enhanced this taco like a mini quesadilla. It would even be fine without the extra taco. The chicken was good. It wasn't dry either. It had a good grilled flavor to it. * Refried Beans - I'm picky with refried beans and these were really delicious. Great consistency and it wasn't dry. It had good color to it too. It is really creamy. * Cucumber Lime (Pepino con Limón) Agua Fresca - I enjoyed the chunks of cucumber and this was very citrusy. I liked that it wasn't sweet like others make them. Definitely a great cup of limeade! [ ATMOSPHERE ] The atmosphere is casual but lively. There's music playing in the background but you can still hear people within your table. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and company. [ SERVICE ] Our orders came out pretty quick and the gentleman who brought out our food was really nice. The cashier was friendly. And the workers were quick to clean up tables. [ LOCATION ] They are located near the Walmart and WaBa Grill on Canyon Springs Parkway, just west of Day Street in Riverside - borders Moreno Valley. Overall, this is a solid taco shop with quality meats and delicious eats! Great food, worth the wait, and decent prices, and good workers!

We saw an Instagram video asking if this was the best taco spot in the IE, so of course we had to check it out. We happened to be nearby on a Friday and decided to stop in. It was relatively busy, as expected, but nothing too crazy. The restaurant gave us Tacos Los Cholos vibes (if you're familiar with the OC spot), with similar meat options and a laid-back, welcoming ambiance. The main difference was the wait time. Our food was ready within 10 to 20 minutes, which was a nice surprise. We tried the asada, arrachera, and adobada tacos, plus a few tacos with cheese (highly recommend the arrachera and cheese combo), and a surf and turf burrito. Everything was delicious, but the adobada tacos stood out as my personal favorite. We even placed a second order to go with more ribeye and arrachera tacos, plus some fresas con crema. As for the cost, it's comparable to fast-casual spots, and pricing really depends on what you order. We spent around $70 to feed four people, including drinks, and our second round of tacos was about $30. All in all, totally worth it. We will definitely be back and highly recommend giving it a try!

They have 3 tiers for meat selection! We love standard meat! 1st time here, price maybe higher than regular taco stand! Best food, great service & awesome dining experience!

We tried this place based on looking at what was around us after doing some shopping. My friend looked it up and saw that it was pretty popular and we checked it out. We had a meal here two days in a row. On day one I had the Al Pastor burrito with a chorizo taco and a Carne Asada taco with a drink which was roughly $22. Service was good and fast. There was plenty of seating and great music playing. They have a fresh salsa bar with plenty of different condiments for your liking. I really enjoyed the cream based chipotle sauce. On the second day when we felt a hankering for good Mexican food again and went back and got the loaded potato filled with butter cheese and Carne Asada. I also attempted another Al Pastor burrito again and was overwhelmed with how much food we got. This time I also got the grilled onions and chilies with it. If you live near this place, you need to check it out. Hands-down one of the best places I've eaten at in Moreno Valley.

Small place but as soon as you walk in the smoky smell tells you are in the right place for grilled food. Great little salsa bar with 5-6 different varieties and fresh sliced cucumbers too. Was here on a weekend at 6PM and the line was out the door.

I brought my parents here on a Sunday and it was packed like line out the door packed. We ordered the carne asada, chorizo, and al pastor and it was honestly worth the wait. The asada had that legit grilled flavor, the chorizo was bold and savory, and the al pastor was juicy with that slightly sweet, seasoned vibe. I also paid extra for the grilled onions and chile toreado, and I'm glad I did it even came with a grilled nopal (so good). That combo seriously leveled everything up. Only reason it's 4 stars is the crowd/wait situation. If you come on a Sunday, just know you're committing to the line. I'd definitely come back, just on a less chaotic day.

The music was loud and made me think it would be best for a club atmosphere? Maybe it was just me but I felt anxiety eating because the music was so upbeat and loud. I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.
