Omgeeee. Soooo good. Got the Barbacoa in broth. I've been disappointed before at some other restos famous for their lamb tacos and consommé but this did not disappoint. It was was soooo goood and flavorful. Hand made tortillas and just really delicious broth with rice and garbanzos in it too. Super satisfied. And it's cute in here and everyone is super nice. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area. Wish it was closer to me. I'd love to check out their menudo some day. Has to be good.oh and it's cash only! Don't forget. Nothing but the best! We're regulars here already, and the owners are always around -- super nice people and truly a family-owned spot. Sometimes we forget to post a review, but this place definitely deserves it! The barbacoa is amazing and super fresh -- it's actually lamb cooked in a ground oven, just like in Mexico. The Torres are great too, and the Micheladas are definitely worth trying. The whole menu is delicious, the ambience makes you feel like you're in Mexico, and all the staff are super nice and friendly. Highly recommend! read more

Wow! We had a great experience! The food is delicious, you can't go wrong with any of their dishes. Our party of 4 tried the cecina huarache, quesadillas (flor de calabaza & hongos) and a massive torta de milanesa (did I mention it's massive?) Great Mexican food in the style of Mexico City. We got the hurache with cecina and it was great! The salsa that comes on it was spicy and delicious. The hurache had a delicious corn taste and it was HUGE. Very good! Also ordered a carne asada taco and it was PACKED with meat and delicious. The decor is very cool and embodies Mexico's capital. Cash only restaurant! I was excited to try this place because they have al vapor (canasta) tacos. I ordered mushroom quesadilla what is made with homemade corn tortilla. That was tasty. But I was disappointed with tacos. They didn't seem seamed at all just fried and filled with loads of grilled onion. I would pass on them next time. I did like how they brought out different salsas, limes, cilantro, and onions. The service was ok. I ordered a water and never got it. The waitress did not come to us at all after food served. Their restaurant was well decorated inside showing some of the monuments in Mexico City. I believe they are known for their lamb. Didn't try it this time. read more

Bring cash!! It is a cash only place but they do have an ATM available if you need it... the service fee was $2 so not bad. The food was great here. The portions are HUGE we definitely could've just gotten one thing and shared but it definitely was worth trying the different plates. We had a birria combo that came with the consume and the flauta combo as well. Both were so good and we had some to take home. The service too was awesome everyone was super friendly and helpful. My family and I have been coming here since they opened years ago. Best mexican food in all of socal! Must try the consommé with the taquitos de pollo or huarache of any meat with a cafe de olla. They do have some vegetarian options. The owners and servers are the sweetest people ever and make sure every meal is of quality. Great customer service, terrible serving skills. Pre ordered before paying in line, was asked if i wanted consumé with my 3lbs of barbacoa , i asked for salsa, tortillas and was offered the consumé. lady from the front came over a minute after i paid with a bag consisting of 3 trays. drove all the way back home in riverside 20 minute drive, just to find out i was only given the meat and tortillas. what a waste of time, this meal is meant to be eaten with everything, not just tortillas and meat. the fact i was asked just to make sure yet you guys still didn't deliver. paid 74$ for some meat that doesn't taste good by itself, and tortillas. what a joke read more

One of the guys is making handmade tortillas for your order, the salsas are just the right amount of spicy. Looking for a good torta and discovered the monster Supreme torta here. Nice looking restaurant and friendly staff, but also some very tasty food. Got the giant torta - ham, chorizo, beef, egg, any slow moving animals within chopping distance - cubano style. Hadn't eaten all day (I'm a big guy; aka fat). Got home ate half and had no interest in looking at the other half. Next night for dinner I cooked up the second half intending to make a burrito. Too much meat to fit in the burrito. Great second meal - and again a bit too much food. For $20 that sandwich could have reasonablly fed a family of four. Great value with the great taste. read more
