I am not from the area, while looking up places to eat on yelp, I came across Casa Tacos! And I'm so glad I did They have a good variety, I should've taken a picture of their menu, but I was too hungry. They have regular street tacos, they have their customized tacos, they have their signature tacos, they have burritos of different varieties, they also have different bowls to choose from... I ended up going with the Firebird bowl and I was not disappointed. It is a good size portion for the value, I have enough for leftovers. It also filled me up. This is a much better alternative to fast food, so much healthier and it's still quick to go. It does not take that long. The best part is they have a drive-through if you do wanna get it quickly! I'm lying that's not the best part, the best part is that it taste so good. I've been to healthy places like this before and they don't always taste that great this place actually taste so good. Second best part, the vibe in there, the people that worked there they were so nice. Stephanie was really friendly, I knew what I wanted to eat, but she was still kind of enough to offer suggestions. She suggested the churros come with the crem on the bottom, I definitely recommend giving them a go, those things were good. I decided to save some for my children lol Stephanie was just a pleasure to talk with and she was really nice. They do have restrooms to use while dining there. It's located against the street, you can pull into their little parking lot or you can pull all the way into the plaza, which is a huge parking lot so parking is definitely not an issue here. New taco shop in Moreno Valley was disappointing. The chicken bowl was super oily that it was hard to eat. Steak quesadilla was good but as you can see from the picture, was also drenched in a pool of oil. Chicken taco was good though. Inside seating and drive through available. No salsa bar but they do give you salsas on the side. Inside seating was hot and humid. Place is mediocre Addendum: Originally gave 3 stars but going to addend to 4 stars Service here is stellar. The owner, workers and head chef Jose saw my review as I was dining in the restaurant and immediately came over to address my concerns. chef Jose remade the the entire meal and it turned out to be phenomenal. The rice bowl had good flavor and I was able to get cabbage, pickled onion and chopped onions on the side. The steak and cheese quesadilla turned out perfect the second time. No oil, tender steak, lightly crispy on the outside and a large portion. They even threw in two flans for the inconvenience. Came here for the first time with my husband for a day date before shopping. We ordered the following: - 2x carne asada tacos with cilantro and onion ($3.49 each) - 1x beef quesobirria taco w/consume (not on the menu, but they have it ($4.99) - 1 Chorizo torta w/o pickeled onions ($12.99) - Made the torta a large combo ($2.60) and added Jamaica ($3.25) - chips and guac ($5.49) Plenty of parking is available. Some shaded and some not. I went inside to dine, but they do have a drive thru which is convenient. I'd say service is decent. The cashier wasn't very informed on the menu. He also charged us for the chips and salsa when I said chips and guac twice. We had to go back to correct the order. They didn't charge us the different which was really, really sweet of them ($3.49 vs $5.49). The Jamaica is a little too sweet of my taste, but I can easily water it down a bit. Still delicious. Salsa wise they offer orange and green. I suspect the orange salsa is made with habaneros. There's no real flavor besides the spice. If you love spicy, this is up your alley! It was my husband's favorite. I liked it, but I can't digest spicy food without heartburn so I stuck to the green tomatillo salsa. It still offered a kick, with the tomatillo goodness. The chips and guac were good. They make the chips in house. My husband loved the guac. I'm super picky and don't believe guac should have tomato (I will DIE on this hill lol). It had a tad too much lime for my liking, but it was solid. I love that there was no tomato. To me, this was authentic. They also (accidentally) gave us avocado salsa which was my absolute favorite. I didn't even know they offered it. The queso birria alone is worth coming back. The meat was so tender and flavorful. It was served with consume. The meat wasn't too fatty which I loved. My husband devoured the chorizo torta. All he could say was, "it was delicious." This man is a chatter box and this meal left him speechless. As for the carne asada tacos, I thought they were a great size for the price! They're not huge and they're not tiny. The price is just right. My only complaint, and again I'm a picky eater, is the meat was too fatty for me. I prefer it be leaner. But that's just my own personal preference. My husband complained that it was delicious, but way too oily. I don't mind the oil. To me, that's flavor. I found the meat to be a bit bland. Could have been marinated or had more seasoning. I wouldn't order this item again. Definitely recommend giving it a try. They're a solid 3.5 out of 5, but I'm rounding up because I'd come back. read more

It was a good first experience at Casa Tacos. Convenient location by all the major shopping centers locally. Nice big windows that lets the light in and the place is clean and well maintained. We ordered an asada quesadilla, asada tacos and pollo tacos. The meats were well seasoned, juicy and had a nicely seared. The red hot salsa and the green salsa were tasty. Food was actually amazing for a fast food like joint. Right away, you can smell the meat getting grilled on an open flame . You can see the flame clearly in the back of the kitchen. The meat did not disappoint. The premium steak was so tender and juicy, with a hint of smoke from the flame. The adobafa was amazing as well. It came with diced up flame grilled pineapples, SO GOOD! Servers was nice and nothing crazy. You order your food, sit down and wait until they call your number and you pick up from the counter. Easy peasy. Taco's are 2 corn tortillas - no flour tortilla option for tacos. 3 salsas- mild green, hot orange, medium avocado salsa containers have barely any I assume to not to see so much in the trash. Chips were a bit soft. Beans are whole. Abobada is offered with or without pineapple. All tacos they offer onions and cilantro and gone with 3 slices of radish. So ended up being 1st in line for the soft opening today. Waited an hour ( cause I got there early). IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! For being the 1st day everyone seemed to know what they were doing and were all very nice. I met one of the owners while I was in line too. Now the food I ordered the birria burrito and chicken bowl.....the aroma of both of them was extraordinary and they both were very TASTY! They both had flavor and they both had QUALITY ingredients..now I am very picky when it comes to meat and they did not disappoint at all super good. Man oh man. When this place first opened I was so happy to finally have the best carne asada burrito I've had in Moreno Valley and a great price. Everything was spot on delicious. When I heard they were closed to revamp I didn't understand. NOTHING needed to be changed ! I hate leaving a bad review for any business, but my daughter and I went in on Taco Tuesday to get some food. The first issue was there was not one person in the dining room. I couldn't figure out why. Because they have a special on tacos for Tuesday. After being in there for five minutes, I realized that there are flies everywhere. Someone in management needs to get a hold of this issue immediately. We had our order for dine-in and ended up grabbing it and having to eat it in the car. The flies are out of control. And to be honest, I felt sick after eating just thinking about the situation. The tacos were okay. The best thing about the tacos was the tortillas, honestly. The meat was kind of dried out. There needs to be a lot of improvements to be charging that much for tacos. I do think there's potential, but for a brand new establishment, there should not be that many flies. And again, if you're going to be charging premium prices for tacos and other items, it needs to be high quality, and the establishment needs to be clean. read more

The food was ok. Meat was seasoned well and portions were generous considering the price is a bit steep. Our biggest concern was the condition of our order. The boxes were dirty and covered with food and sauces. Our food was also very messy inside the boxes. We went through the drive thru so I cannot comment on the ambiance or cleanliness of the store front. However, the condition of our order is concerning especially considering we were the first order of the day! While we were sitting in the parking lot eating, a gentleman wearing a casa taco shirt walked out. He looked filthy and proceeded to pick his nose while waking to the gas station next door. Waited in line for about 20 minutes with two cars ahead of me. Wasn't bothered by that, I figured they were coming to order. I ordered two tacos, one de arrachera and one adobada. I have been waiting for this place to open, stopped by here and immediately on the door you see that it's a soft opening. Ok, that's fine. When you enter it's just your basic looking fast food place. Nothing special. On the plus side, this taco place has a drive through but that was packed, which was why I chose to walk in. When I arrived there was one person in line. Upon reviewing the pricey menu, I went with 2 quesabirria tacos, chips and guac and horchata, $20. I ordered to-go. I waited over 10 minutes for my food. WTH. The presentation of my to-go food was not it. My tacos were in a small container stacked on top of each other and my chips came in 2 small separate bags and my guac was small too. Had the cashier told me my meal would come with chips, I would have not ordered additional chips. I drove 5 minutes back to my destination, when I began to eat the tacos I was very impressed with the birria flavor and consomé. It was super delicious. I was unimpressed with my bottom soggy taco that had been smashed at the bottom and falling apart. I still ate it. Chips were super greasy and guac was not super flavorful. The horchata was basic. Definitely not returning. This is the second time coming and they're closed? Drive thru closed? Don't waste your time. Hours show open until 9pm. So, here's what happened. Lights on , door wide open, it's Friday at 6pm, the workers sitting around looking done for the day...and say we're closed. Turn the lights off and that's it?! All Bad. Improve on trying to follow your hours and being open on Friday afternoon. Huge disappointment. read more

Before they temporarily closed down and changed everything this spot was incredible and I can honestly say my absolute favorite burrito. Both the carne asada and the arrachera. Everyone I know that tried it felt the same. A small part of me was relieved that they temporarily closed down because I was eating it too often it was so good. But when they reopened I was devastated to discover the food isn't at all what it use to be. It's very basic and has no where near the amazing flavor it once had.
