The pupusas were amazing, especially the queso con loroco. I ordered the plátano with two pupusas, and it was a great, satisfying meal. I saw a couple of reviews mentioning wait times and if you know anything about pupusas you know it takes a while to make them. They're made fresh because they can only be made to order. Have some patience and give it a try. We will definitely be back!

My husband ordered al pastor torta, it looked like a panini but he enjoyed it very much. Carnitas were tasty, and juicy. Asada tacos also delicious, the salsa they serve with the chips is best on tacos so darn good. The enchiladas were tasty and the green sauce had a Lil kick . Geso birria tacos had so much meat that was flavorful and with lemon, salsa and cilantro was right on! My mouth watered just now, I recommend their food and this place. It was quiet and we requested some music which is why I'm giving 5 stars. Service was super! I can't eat to come back, gracias por todo!

Not only did they have sopes, hands down the best sopes I have ever had. The sope itself smelled like fresh ground corn. When you bite into it, the outside has this beautiful crispy crust with a tender, smooth and unctuous masa. The lettuce was very fresh without a single wilted leaf, the cheese was absolutely fresh and creamy. The beans were also fresh, taste and smooth. The carnitas on top had generous chunks of meat, not shreds but nice chunks that are a pleasure to bite into. I also tried the chile rellenos burrito and it was excellent! The fresh cheese in the chiles definitely stands out. The seer on the burritos was made exactly how I wanted. That alone is enough to make me come back for more. The staff are genuinely nice. Good people and very polite. I would come here just to feel better. This is a hidden gem. Literally hidden, attached to a gas station but the small dining room is clean and cozy. Parking can be tight. As the only spots by the entrance is for disabled only. Unfortunately, non-disabled customers still park there for their convenience. I did not find a restroom in the restaurant. I assume you can use the restrooms in the gas station side,.The food is definitely worth the slight inconvenience.

The chips and salsa were very good and fresh right out of the kitchen. The tacos were excellent -- super flavorful with that authentic Michoacán taste. The beans were nicely seasoned and served hot, and the rice was honestly some of the best I've had at a Mexican spot lately. Everything came out well-prepared and tasty. For the quality, the prices were very reasonable too. The only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars was the service. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, and things moved pretty slowly even though there weren't a lot of people inside during our lunch visit. The atmosphere was quiet and casual, which was fine for a relaxed midday meal. Would definitely go back for the food -- just hope the service is a little snappier next time!

Dining at Mariscos Mazatlan is an exercise in managing expectations. On one hand, the kitchen…read moredemonstrates a robust command of Sinaloan flavors, delivering punches of heat and acid that feel genuinely coastal. On the other, the front-of-house operations--and occasional textural missteps--remind you that potential is not always performance. The atmosphere leans into the festive spirit typical of a family-style marisquería, but the true test, as always, lies in the molcajete. I opted for the Molcajete Azteca, a bubbling cauldron of surf-and-turf ambition. In terms of protein, the kitchen largely succeeds. The steak was a highlight--expertly seared, yielding a tenderness that often eludes similar establishments where "chewy" is the norm. The chicken followed suit, absorbing the savory depths of the broth without losing its own identity. However, the chorizo introduced a disappointing inconsistency. While this particular serving was crisp and savory--providing that necessary textural crunch against the melting cheese--I have noted in the past that this element can arrive unpleasantly soft and under-rendered. A dish of this complexity relies on every component firing on all cylinders; a limp chorizo can dampen the entire experience. That said, the Molcajete Azteca is rescued, perhaps even elevated, by its sauce. The Salsa Negra is the undeniable star here--a dark, brooding concoction packed with umami and a lingering heat that ties the disparate proteins together. It is a sauce that demands to be mopped up with a tortilla, showcasing the kitchen's ability to build deep, complex flavor profiles. On the colder side of the spectrum, the Ceviche Chiltepin offered a sharp, refreshing counterpoint. The heat from the chiltepin peppers was assertive--bordering on aggressive--but appropriate for the varietal. It is not a dish for the faint of heart. The addition of mango was a stroke of brilliance; its tropical sweetness cut through the capsaicin and acidity, creating a harmonious balance that kept the palate engaged rather than overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the dining experience was marred by "ok" service that lacked the polish one hopes for. While there were no disastrous errors, the cadence of the meal was interrupted by a lack of attentiveness. We found ourselves reminding the staff of missing sides--a basic logistical failure--and our glasses sat empty far too often. In a cuisine this spice-forward, the absence of drink refills is not just an oversight; it is a discomfort. Recommended Dishes: Molcajete Azteca (ask for the chorizo crispy), Ceviche Chiltepin.
