Pupuseria La Sierra Restaurant - Platanito plate with sour cream and beans - Salvadoran Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

First time trying this place. I did a to-go order. The pupusas were a great size and they were good. What could have been better was the amount of cabbage given. The salsa didn't have flavor so I used homemade salsa I had at home. I gave it 4 stars still because I feel the feedback given is an easy fix. read more

The deal is awesome and the aguas frescas definitely hit the spot on a hot day. The place itself is super clean and the service is friendly. It's hard to find a good pupusa place that hits all those marks but they definitely do. Would recommend this place and would come here again! read more

This is one of those places that you come because someone tells you how good it is. My coworker and I were craving pupusas so she brought me here on our lunch break. It's located in a very small shopping center. There is a CVS and a few other small places. She called in our order and when we arrived it was ready. When you enter there are a few tables a booths should you want to eat the food there. We took ours back to the office. I ordered 2 Revueltas pupusas and they were more than enough. So filling and delicious. There is a refrigerated bar area set up for you to serve your cabbage and salsa, plastic bags and cups are provided. The cabbage and salsa were so good. One salsa was extra spicy and the other was very mild. The staff are super nice and if you need anything at all they are more than happy to help you to get you whatever you need. I will be returning for more many many times. This place is a MUST try. read more

Did not take a photo but these pupusas were truly filling and delicious! The service was thorough and friendly, and the restaurant is clean and pleasant with seating inside, as well as a salsa bar with curtido, for self serve. They also bring you the fixings for pupusas with your order. We tried the 'mixta' (chicharrón, beans, and cheese), as well as the chicharrón with cheese. Yum! Can't wait to try the rest. read more

I tried their pupusas and they were really good. Pupusas de queso are my number 1 option, pupusas de queso con loroco my second option and revueltas my third. Food was fresh. Unfortunately they had run out of the atol de elote that day, but I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood. Prices are reasonable at this restaurant. read more

Not the same as Riverside. 1 star for tamales, raw potato's inside the pork tamale, and meat tasted leftover, old, stale. If they are serving old tamales they need to throw them away and stop selling them because these tasted old. 3 stars for the Pupusas revueltas okay, they taste fine but not as good as Riverside. read more

We had to stop here for a little snack The place is pretty spacious, it's looks like it recently opened. I got a Revuelta & Queso Togo It came with side of salsa & veggie mix The service was friendly after I ordered my meal they immediately got started on it. The Pupusas were a good size, loved how cheesy the queso was and the revuelta was also delicious both were filled perfectly, good texture and taste. I would like to come back and try more like a tamal and sides As of now 5 stars from my first time here and from what I ordered read more

After spending so many years here in the I.E, it's been hard to find a place that sells good authentic pupusas. This place was absolutely amazing, both the customer service and the flavor of the food. I would highly recommend and would 100% be returning. read more

Super thick pupusas, flavor was bland, they have separate ingredients within the pupusas, nothing was mixed. I think pupusas should have an even amount of flavorful ingredients and more moisture. These pupusas are dried, the cheese was mozzarella cheese, the beans are red beans out of a can, chicharrón was blended and no flavor and was also dry. Second time coming back to try them with a few months apart. Definitely not coming back. Do your self a favor and don't come here or you will regret it. read more

Well all I can say is i was there for just a few minutes and saw a cockroach scramble across the dinning room floor. Then....shortly after, the bigger lady out of three with the tattoo comes out of the kitchen with a plate of food she is eating from and sets her plate down at the front counter were they have big jugs of juice and puts her bare hand into the square box of ice that they serve customers (twice) and puts it in her cup. I guess she doesn't care for the scooper that's sitting in it. I couldn't believe it . Disgusting! read more

In my opinion, La Sierra is where you will find the best popusas in Moreno Valley. Total deliciousness of popusas! If you don't believe me come here and see for yourself. There is a variety of popusas, broths, and Salvadorian snacks like my favorite fried plantain. Customer service is top notch. Kevin is a great worker, as is the rest of the team.
