This is one of those places that you come because someone tells you how good it is. My coworker and I were craving pupusas so she brought me here on our lunch break. It's located in a very small shopping center. There is a CVS and a few other small places. She called in our order and when we arrived it was ready. When you enter there are a few tables a booths should you want to eat the food there. We took ours back to the office. I ordered 2 Revueltas pupusas and they were more than enough. So filling and delicious. There is a refrigerated bar area set up for you to serve your cabbage and salsa, plastic bags and cups are provided. The cabbage and salsa were so good. One salsa was extra spicy and the other was very mild. The staff are super nice and if you need anything at all they are more than happy to help you to get you whatever you need. I will be returning for more many many times. This place is a MUST try. read more

The service was thorough and friendly, and the restaurant is clean and pleasant with seating inside, as well as a salsa bar with curtido, for self serve. I tried their pupusas and they were really good. Pupusas de queso are my number 1 option, pupusas de queso con loroco my second option and revueltas my third. Food was fresh. Unfortunately they had run out of the atol de elote that day, but I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood. Prices are reasonable at this restaurant. read more

Not the same as Riverside. 1 star for tamales, raw potato's inside the pork tamale, and meat tasted leftover, old, stale. Super thick pupusas, flavor was bland, they have separate ingredients within the pupusas, nothing was mixed. I think pupusas should have an even amount of flavorful ingredients and more moisture. These pupusas are dried, the cheese was mozzarella cheese, the beans are red beans out of a can, chicharrón was blended and no flavor and was also dry. Second time coming back to try them with a few months apart. Definitely not coming back. Do your self a favor and don't come here or you will regret it. read more

I've only ordered their pupusas revueltas and they are so amazing! Ingredients are so fresh the curtido is always fresh as well. The restaurant is very clean and the service is amazing. We got 5 pupusas and a large agua de ensalada and it was all under $30. If you're in Moreno Valley or passing through please make the effort to stop in. Well all I can say is i was there for just a few minutes and saw a cockroach scramble across the dinning room floor. Then....shortly after, the bigger lady out of three with the tattoo comes out of the kitchen with a plate of food she is eating from and sets her plate down at the front counter were they have big jugs of juice and puts her bare hand into the square box of ice that they serve customers (twice) and puts it in her cup. I guess she doesn't care for the scooper that's sitting in it. I couldn't believe it . Disgusting! read more

Amazing! Perfectly fluffy, dense but not dry or thin. We came back two days in a row after trying them. Service is also really fast! We ordered 4 revueltos and they were delicious. This Restaurant is an insult to Salvadorean food. This new Mexican owner is lying to the community. The eggs and beans were cold when served and the pupusas are terrible. They promote fresco de ensalada , but it tastes rotten and sour. Don't Waste your Time and Money. read more

In my opinion, La Sierra is where you will find the best popusas in Moreno Valley. Total deliciousness of popusas! If you don't believe me come here and see for yourself. There is a variety of popusas, broths, and Salvadorian snacks like my favorite fried plantain. Customer service is top notch. Kevin is a great worker, as is the rest of the team. Kevin took our order and we were served quickly. The place is medium sized but spacious and most importantly clean. The cashier does not understand or speak English. I ordered 3 different papusa's for 3 different people they put them together. When I explained to another cashier that I wanted them separate she took my order in back after touching cash register her purse and hair she proceeded to separate them with her dirty bare hands. And tried to say she didn't. Not to mention I waited 20 plus minutes for them. Cook came forward I told him what I saw he said he'd make new ones. Only to givee bean and cheese one without meat . When I ordered pork . So needless to say drove 25 minutes home to eat a meatless pupusa. When they handed them to me I reasked the cook if there was pork in it he said yes. Lies! Never again will I go there. If you do you'll be waiting forever, and probably get wrong dirty food. Because they don't wear gloves when touching food. read more

Instead of trying to find out HOW meat got into my bean and cheese pupusa, she chose to be sarcastic and defensive about my experience without taking any accountability. She also said that their prices are "a little up there" and "are not meant for everyone" even though no one mentioned they had high prices. So she just went out of her way to...what? Call me poor? Weird. Please stop telling people that your cheese and beans are vegan; they are not. And it's not even always vegetarian either because I 100% got meat in mine and if you say you don't use ground meat in your pupusas, then I am even MORE concerned about what was in mine if it wasn't that. No wonder it upset my stomach all day! What the heck kind of meat was that?! You are clearly not a doctor so please don't try to tell me to go to the ER for an upset stomach. When vegetarians (and vegans) consume meat, we end up with a bad upset stomach - often for a full 24 hours or longer. It's like food poisoning to us. And I got it from your pupusas. She says: "We never said we are vegetarian connoisseurs." LOL lady, you're not even pupusa connoisseurs! I do agree with her on one thing though: Las Ploras pupusas "are not meant for everyone". I would keep that in mind the next time you're looking for good pupusas.

One of those rare hidden gems in Moreno Valley. The food is always consistent, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Every visit reminds me why we keep coming back. The pupusas are amazing, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. Beyond the food, the restaurant is always clean and welcoming. The service is outstanding as well. On my most recent visit, Brenda took great care of me and made the experience even better with her friendly attitude and attention to detail. It's hard to find a place that consistently delivers great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere, but Pupuseria La Sierra does exactly that. Moreno Valley is lucky to have this spot. Part of me wants to keep it all to myself, but I also want to see them continue to thrive because they truly deserve the support. Highly recommended! read more
