Service is always solid, the dine-in area is spacious and comfortable, and most importantly--the food is always on point. Their Cajun sauce is packed with flavor, not watered down or bland, and the seafood is cooked properly. Nothing is overcooked, rubbery, dry, or aggressively "fishy" (which is my biggest pet peeve at other boil spots). Service is solid, the dining area is spacious and clean, and the prices are fair for what you get. No gimmicks, no excuses, just consistently good food. Overall: good food, good service, good prices, and a clean restaurant. This is why we keep coming back while other Cajun places stay one-and-done. *Only reason for the 4.5-star instead of 5: PARKING. The parking lot is very limited, mainly because Star Crab and the Korean BBQ spot next door are both super busy. With two popular restaurants side by side, parking gets packed pretty much daily. Not a deal-breaker and totally worth it for the food, but something to be aware of before coming.

We were sat right next to where they made the tortillas and can see them being made since they had glass windows around it. However, there was one gentleman that was making tortillas who was on his cell phone texting or whatever CONSTANTLY at the same time while doing this. He had a glove on one hand and no glove on the other, and was touching the tortilla dough.....We all know how dirty a cell phone is! And what made it worse is at one point he itched the inside of his nose with his finger, and didn't even wash his hands or have gloves on after that. Definitely made my stomach turn and what caused me to go and write this review. I suggest a camera be placed at the tortilla station, add the notes about bacon in the beans and chicken in the rice, and add bell peppers to the fajitas. Came here a few years when they first opened everything was great . But my visit yesterday was terrible service from start to finish. Received food with no bibs, gloves and utensils, had to go ask for them. We brought a birthday cake, and server originally said they would clear out table to do cake, we waited for about 15min , he never came back of course after we paid the $200 tab! So I ended up rolling up the food myself and making enough room to cut my cake and server everyone . Which was sure to be a $25 tip turned into $8, simply because I work in the hospitality business, but they should t have gotten anything. I also believe we were racially profiled , because of how many times we were walked past and had to get up to ask for what we needed , the long idle wait times! You shouldn't teach your servers, to never judge a book by its cover , you shouldn't be a server if you don't understand equal service regardless of the tip, pick a new job. Me and a group of friends went to The Kickin' Crab once again on a Sunday night and it was pretty packed! We waited about 40 minutes for a party of four so just a heads up for this who want to eat in the evening. I believe Friday nights aren't as packed so keep an eye out for that day! We ordered the first combo with the Kickin' Style Sauce and I must say it was delicious. Usually they are consistent with their sauces but it can lean from too buttery or too salty on days. It was just right that day and one thing about the Riverside location is that the seafood is always really fresh/firm. I've had bad experiences at other places where the shrimp would be mushy or the crawfish was black. No issues here! Also make sure to leave a Yelp review for free Cajun fries! I've been coming to this exact location since the very first day they opened. I don't mind driving from a different city just to eat their food and sauce. Their kickin style sauce is one of a kind and I don't think there's anywhere else like it. I've never ate inside the restaurant because I like to eat messy in private lol. My first time here tonight and it was so good! I had a bag of shrimp mild with Cajun seasonings added a boil egg yumm, fried calamari, bowl of white rice, wings/fries and spicy edamame. All of this was amazingly good! The service was Awesome!!! Great job guys! They check on you often if everything is good and need anything. The place is spacious clean and very cool inside. I went into the restaurant yesterday with a couple of buddies for dinner. We were greeted and sat down right away. Amy was our server and was super friendly. She took our drink order while we contemplated on what to eat. I ended up getting the snow crab and fries. The snow crab was very delicious. Throughout our meal Amy checked up on us to see how we were doing. Her customer service was great. I would recommend others to come eat here. The food and service was awesome! read more

I took my family to Kickin Crab on Saturday for my 10 year old bday. This ought to be one of worst restaurant experience I had in awhile. This place don't offer a kid friendly menu. They menu options is limited. They didn't have all the items on the menu. They served us crappy appetizers on to-go paper bowls. I don't recommend this place to anybody. Try going to Boiling Crab or somewhere else. This place is like the Lakers this year; straight garbage! read more

FOOD: I have tried a lot of restaurants that served Cajun style seafood but I must say this Kickin' Crab exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and the sauce adhered to it perfectly and was not too salty. TIPS: Garlic noodles + sriracha+ a little squeeze of lime (your choice) = YUM! Food was terrible, the shrimp was very non-flavorful, has no type of taste, the food was cold within 5 minutes of it being served to me and my family. The sausages were very hard to chew on, it felt like I was chewing rubber. The king crab legs were very disgusting as well. The water they gave was also nasty, tastes like toilet water. Choosing to go to Kickin' Crab was the best decision of my day. They're AC works great which was perfect because of the hot day. My server Amy was very kind and walked me through the process of ordering exactly what I wanted. I ordered the shrimp and crawfish which was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very tasty. Love love love love this place. The kickin' sauce is sooo good. The crawfish are always good sizes and usually cooked well! Cajun fries are a great starter but dangerous to order, you want to eat all of them before your food comes and you need to save room for the main course! Always a must when I come to Cali! Love this location. They've always done me right! My sister and I always get the crawfish and the spicy is actually spicy!! They have ample parking so no worries there. We also always try to join the waitlist so we don't have to wait long! It's a very convenient feature! We usually go to a crab place in Riverside, so we decided to try Kickin crab! This place was so delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh and hot. The service was excellent and we had no issues with the service. Great family restaurant, location and good vibe inside. Oh and the food was delicious once again!!!!!
