Got there about 11:12, door was still locked and employee in the lobby still wiping down tables....ok fine, I'll wait. When she finally came over to unlock the door, she was having a hard time with the lock, like a really hard time. When she got the door unlocked, she held it open, I spoke, she said nothing, just smiled. Not a big deal, but if I speak, SPEAK BACK!!! Ordered the Pineapple Coconut Wontons and here comes another problem. She then was having issues with the register ringing up my order for me to pay. My order was done before I paid, because of the system, taking it's time...I guess. When my total popped up on the screen, it was much higher than I expected. Then I realized, it auto populated a tip on there. Anyone not paying attention, can easily miss that, and I'm one of those people that goes through prompts fast. But I knew my total should have been in the $8 range and it was $10 and some change. When I took the tip off, it went back down to $8. The price for Island food always seems to be higher then most other types of food. The place was pretty good to be honest. I was surprised with there version of Mac Salad and that meaning it had corner and it was on the sweeter side of things. The service at first was kind of weird as we were standing there after looking at the menu and stood right under the "Order Here" sign and the chick at the cashier which was located under the "Pick Up" sign and just looked at us. Garlic noodles with shrimp: noodles were salty but still edible. Was very surprised on how little shrimp was added on. 6 pieces of regular size shrimp for additional 6.50. The noodles were little over 9. Doesn't make sense that for 2/3 the price of the noodles, you get 6 bites of protein. Inflation must be hitting hard. Aloha plate: mac salad was not good. It was bland and watery. Mixed green salad was okay, not much different from store bought. The pineapple orange sauce chicken was way too salty. Almost inedible. Also tasted like orange chicken from a Chinese takeout place with some extremely salty pineapple sauce on top. If it's not implied, it does not taste like Hawaiian food. Located inside a large strip mall complex, you will at first think that you have to pay for parking or get it validated but you do not. Just drive in, take the ticket and parking is free. No validation is required unlike what the sign says. With that in mind, there is plenty of parking. Went there for a late lunch and the place was fairly empty. Staff was friendly and offered us free samples of the wide array of juices they offer which were all pretty good. We had the luau plate and aloha plate for our meals. Food took about 10 minutes so came rather quickly. While the cost is a little higher than other faster food places, the quantity of food is pretty impressive and their Mac is very good. Both meals were overall good and I left feeling full and satisfied. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. I would return here. read more

Inside is just a little hole in the wall in University Village, but this place is a must try! If you even remotely like orange chicken then you HAVE to get the Aloha Plate. It has incredible flavor & texture unlike anything I've had before, and it makes it an absolute must try. The macaroni salad was a great side, especially with the sweet corn mixed in, but the green salad fell a little flat next to it (next time I'll probably sub for more Mac Salad honestly). But overall the Aloha Plate chicken was the best part of the whole thing!! The spam fried rice was also PHENOMENAL, especially with the pineapple, and especially on day 2 when I threw fried eggs & a little sriracha on top. Spam musubi was pretty good, but wasn't the best I've tried. It was a little dry, and could've used more sauce. They have a huge menu it's so hard to choose. There's a build your own meal section - can make spring rolls, a bowl with rice, noodle or greens, or a baguette sandwich. You can get Huli- huli chicken, Katsu, musubi, poke and short ribs... They also have some interesting snack- sides and desserts. Really enjoyed the Katsu with curry. Walking into the restaurant there is Hawaiian music playing along with lovely colorful decor. The service was great! I was greeted upon walking in by a one of the workers and helped me navigate through the menu. On to the food... I got the Oahu(Shrimp) Plate and the Volcano (Shrimp) Plate. Oahu plate felt like a Hawaiian paradise from the first bite. The shrimps are HUGE and cooked to crisp perfection. The flavor is brought by the combination of butter, garlic, and whatever magical ingredients that bring the shrimp all together. In addition, the Mac salad that the plate comes with has a nice blend of savory and sweet tones. The bits of pineapple within the Mac salad are refreshing and give a more dynamic tone to the dish without losing it's classic Mac salad feel. SECRET MENU ALERT: The Volcano Shrimp is not featured on the menu but can be ordered. Context, my friend ordered the Volcano Fries and I really liked the flavor as it had a nice spice kick to it so I asked if that sauce could be put on the shrimp like the Oahu Plate. I would like to believe I conceived the idea for this secret menu item but it may have already been apart of the menu somehow. Either way, I was pleased with the Volcano Shrimp in how it brought a subtle spice with a touch of sweet to it. Man oh man where do I start. The service is amazing, they let you try almost everything. We tried the chicken and poki... Both were amazing, we also tried all the fresh juices they had. My favorite was the cucumber mojito. For food we got the Huli Huli Chicken Fries, Katsu chicken bowl and Luau plate. The fries were amazing, a lot of chicken in it, make sure to ask for a side of hot sauce for an extra kick. The Luau plate was also really good, the macaroni salad it comes with has great flavor. At this point we were full already so we didn't get to the Katsu but it looks amazing and it'll be my husbands lunch tomorrow. They give really big portions. I came back to ramens sister restaurant and is just as good as ramen today I got the springs rolls and they are soo good with a spam musubi and it's delicious next time I want the hot Cheeto musubi and my sister order the chicken katsu bowl with a side of pork gyoza and she let me try her and it's so freaking good. I got the garlic shrimp noodles, orange chicken, hawaiian chicken and their spring rolls! I love how you can add the toppings of my choice on the spring rolls.
