Hawaiian Mix-Kalbi Short Ribs, Hawaiian BBQ Chicken and Hawaiian BBQ Beef
    Krystle A.

Staple Hawaiian fast food. Price is affordable for the quantity, I really like their hawaiin bbq mix, it only comes with one rib, but comes with beef and bbq chicken. I also like their katsu mix comes with bbq chicken and beef as well. The sauces they provide do compliment the meats and the macaroni salad is also seasoned well not too much mayo, just the right amount. They have a drive thru service which is very convenient and the service is fast enough. Never been inside the store so unsure.

This place never disappoints. All food ready in 9 minutes. Friendly crew, clean bathrooms, great chow. We really gotta get here more often! Fantastic, always

Went today around 6:30 order the number three combo not even full-size chicken gave me basically the bottom of the barrel call in basically they couldn't help me because I just didn't have my receipt! Never again to this location !!

Food is always good quality and fresh. The shrimps are large and tasty. The portions are on par and not cheap at all. Great for a quick home cooked type meal at a good price! We love it so much, the husband goes weekly for just the mac to add to his meal prep lunches! Thank you, gabi

Stop by this location for some chicken bbq. Ordered the bbq chicken plate. Good portion of chicken. Could use a little more veggies. The rice was ok. Needed to be washed a few more times to make it more fluffy and less wet. Grabbed a side of masube. Haven't had one of these in a long time. Took me back to when I was in Maui last year. Not exactly the same flavors, but close enough. The dining room was clean. Staff members were very nice and welcoming. Great spot for a quick some bbq chicken overall. I didn't give it 5 stars only because I originally wanted the spicy chicken bbq plate. But it was going to take an extra 15 minutes. Other than that. I rate it 4.5 stars. Enjoy!

First and foremost, they have poor customer service. On top of that, you receive coupons online, just to wheel you into the restaurant. I tried placing my order online and by the time it loaded, it said they could not process my order, so we went into the restaurant. The young ladies at the cashier gave us a dirty look when we were walking in, as it was 15-20 minutes before closing. I understand they wanted to clean up and go home, but we are still within the business time. I explained that I was trying to use the coupon online and it didn't matter. So we placed our order. When we got home, we started eating the food, and the fish was raw and not fully cooked and the rest of the food tasted and was burnt! Terrible! I was so disappointed as this meal was not cheap! I will be reaching out to the manager. As this was not a good experience! Thumbs down!

Came here Friday night because this particular location had a drive-thru even though there was another location closer to me. I ordered the bbq chicken & bbq beef combo. There was hardly any meat. I paid $14 with tax for the meal. I tend to go to other Hawaiian bbq places and get twice as much food for the same price. I will have to find a good Hawaiian bbq place in this area.

I came here back in late May of 2021 to pick up dinner after running a 6 hour race earlier in the day. I got a plate of the kalbi short ribs and a plate of their seafood mix. I mainly came here because I had a "buy one plate, get one free" coupon. They didn't have indoor dining back then, so I got my order to-go. Both plates came well-packaged with a scoop of that delicious macaroni salad, 2 scoops of rice and a good serving of vegetables. The seafood mix came with crispy shrimp, island white fish, and BBQ chicken. It was okay, but the short ribs was definitely the better choice among the two plates! The cashier that took my order was nice and friendly. It wasn't very busy when I was there as it was still a few hours before normal dinner time hour.

I loved the food. Ono never disappoints. The service here was great! I got my food in a timely manner and the staff was very friendly! I even got a cute tote bag from inside :)

My order was done before I paid, because of the system, taking it's time...I guess. When my total popped up on the screen, it was much higher than I expected. Then I realized, it auto populated a tip on there. Anyone not paying attention, can easily miss that, and I'm one of those people that goes through prompts fast. But I knew my total should have been in the $8 range and it was $10 and some change. When I took the tip off, it went back down to $8. The next day I went for the first time, I was in a hurry and I only had 20 minutes to be back at the hospital. Although I wanted shrimp and or a fish that was going to take 20 minutes to make it and I did not have that to give. The cashier lady said that the barbecue beef would be the fastest thing to make so I went with that. I ordered two. I got that in about 10 minutes and I was able to rush back to the hospital in time. Later, I was eating this on my way home and while driving and can I tell you that this was GOOD. I really wish I was sitting at a table to eat it because I just wanted to chow down, but I could only take quick bites at lights so I was very sad about that. The next day, I decided to stop by again because if you find something good, no need to go somewhere else. This time, I was with my mom and based on the pictures on the wall, she chose the Hawaiian fried rice mix and we decided to share it. There was so much food. We were both able to eat and each had leftovers to eat the other half the next day. The food is really good and I will definitely be back. We ordered the Island Fire Chicken plate, grilled chicken breast plate (I selected teriyaki instead of the lemon pepper), guava pie, and a large drink. It's worth noting that unless specifically listed, they use dark meat chicken. Both plates came with 2 scoops of white rice, 1 scoop of macaroni salad, and 1 scoop of steamed veggies. Island Fire Chicken plate (6/10): my husband ordered this. I did not try it as I do not eat dark meat. The staff likened the spice level to higher than Sriracha. My husband was disappointed it wasn't as spicy as he was anticipating. Keep in mind spice is subjective. He wasn't a fan of the charred bits of chicken as the texture was too tough. He said he'd order it again, but it's nothing to rave home about. Grilled Chicken Breast plate (2/10): I ordered this as it was the only item in the menu with chicken breast (white meat). It was a disappointment. This is completely subjective, but to me, it was giving processed chicken. Like Tyson in the frozen food aisle. Also, it was not cut on the bias so it was difficult to eat. I gave up after one bite. I'll be giving the rest to my dogs. Macaroni salad (7.5/10): tasted good at first, but as I got closer finishing it, it started tasting fishy. I had just raved to my husband about how happy I was that it did NOT have ham. Just to find out it has tuna instead. I do not eat seafood so this was a disappointment. It wasn't great until the fishy taste overpowered it. My husband (who loves tuna) was a fan. Steamed Veggies (5/10): Frankly, it's hard to mess up steamed veggies. I was expecting more broccoli or other veggies on my plate. I got a bed of cabbage and ONE tiny broccoli floret. So did my husband. No shade to cabbage, but I expected more variety based on the menu photos. White Rice (10/10): The only saving grace was the rice. It was as expected. Simple, steamed, white rice. Hula Guava Pie (4/10): My job dropped (literally) when I saw it wrapped in plastic packaging. It was just sitting on the counter between the registers. I guess my greatest disappointment was in expecting it to be like the hand pies at Jollibees or McDonalds. They're obviously not made fresh in house, but they're warmed up and packaging nicely like a sweet little gift. So my expectations were shattered when I got this overpriced pop tart. You can certainly taste the guava on the inside, but it tastes quite processed. I'm a guava snob so I understand I'm being harsh. It did have the same texture as a pop tart. Plenty of parking outside. It's in a private lot in the same complex as a Target and Chick-fil-A. It felt a tad pricey. Without the coupon our total would have been closer to $38. With the coupon we paid $22.80 which felt like a great value since the portions are generous. I love that they have katsu and teriyaki sauces readily available. There's a pump with little cups so you can help yourself. The katsu sauce is vinegary which I'm not a fan of, but my husband enjoyed. We both enjoyed the teriyaki sauce. It wasn't too thin or too thick in texture. The staff was friendly and helpful. My seating recommendation if you dine, as soon as you walk in the door, sit on the right side. The left side is near the restroom (down the hall). I have a very sensitive nose and could smell the cleaning products. It's a non issue if you're not sensitive. Overall, I personally would not be back for myself, but husband enjoyed it. If you're into dark meat, or willing to try a different protein, give it a try and see for yourself. But personally, I've learned Hawaiian food is just not my cup of tea.

First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.

It's in a somewhat suburban area, so there's street parking and you may have to walk a bit, but we were able to find parking just right across. Park Avenue is a mini mart and shop, along with a restaurant. Hot foods, baked goods, shirts and apparel, jewelry, imported snacks and sweets, canned and jarred foods, and a fridge with some drinks and to go goods too. I was already super full already, but we were able to try a bit of the food and take the rest to go. Pretty generous portions and very unique food that is a bit more difficult to find elsewhere. We got the Taupou Plate which is a 3 item plate order with 2 side items. For this, we chose the lamb, turkey tail, and curry and for the side items we got the banana and taro. Interesting mix of sweet, creamy, savory, and umami. I'm not the biggest fan of turkey, but turkey tail isn't a very common "cut of meat" to order. Really rich, tender, and a bit greasy, but if you love turkey, this is perfect for you. Nice mix of flavors with this order and has the most variety. Definitely get this if you want a little bit of everything. Lamb meat was also moist and rich as well. Unique eats and great welcoming service as well!
