I've been here a few times and only kept going back for convenience but after my last experience I will not be back. During the service the guy spent most of the time trying to sell me a wax or pedicure making me feel so uncomfortable forcing the issue. And then when I was done he charged me $55 for an acrylic back full without gel, which is crazy in my opinion even the front desk girl thought it was too when i asked for a breakdown. That was another issue, pricing is never consistent, the same backfill cost something different every time. Went in for a pedicure for my daughter and myself and her pedi was good while mine was less than mediocre. It was obvious my tech was talking about me as she was looking at my hands and laughed after I told her no callus removal. So I'm not sure if she did it on purpose but she didn't scrub my feet or do The hot towels. My daughter had it all so obviously that tech was skilled. He asked for the callous remover & the woman put it all over the bottom of his feet on his arches. This burned his skin terribly & he was unable to walk for 3 days. I come here every month for a pedicure and have never had a problem. It's always been great service which is what keeps me coming back. But after today, that very well may change!! I called this morning to make a 6pm appointment for tonight and was told they didn't have any, but I could walk in. That's fine. I get it that you can't always get a same day appointment. On the way there I called and asked what the current wait was and let the receptionist know I would be there at 6. She responds "about 30 minutes." Awesome! Then I got there, at 6:05. "I'm sorry, we probably can't take you." Umm, what?!?! I told her I had just called and she said, "well we close at 7 so I probably can't get you in." Meanwhile, there are 3 customers there! 3!!! And 2 nail techs chatting in the back not doing anything. She could sense my annoyance so she said she would get me in. I said thank you. Fast forward, I get into a chair at 6:40ish and start my pedicure. I'm relaxed and happy and have forgotten about the receptionist who just wanted to go home. And then 10 minutes later..."I need you to pay now so I can close out my register." Seriously?!?! You are interrupting my service which I am paying for! Fine. I pay. A pedicure that usually takes about 40-45 minutes was rushed through and I was out the door at 7:05! I'll be calling management in the morning. All I can say is this...don't go in anytime after 5:30. They want to lock up at exactly 7 and will dismiss you with bad service so they can!! read more

My first visit went well so I decided to go back for a pedicure on july 12th, 2018. I don't remember the name of the lady who painted my toes but she did a horrible job. she got paint on my skin and when I asked her if she was going to wipe it off, she tried to use her nail and scratched up the skin around my toes. This nail place is very nice and very clean. I had Kevin who wore gloves and used sterilized nail tools which was a huge plus. Also the pedicure tubs had liners which was nice. However I was told multiple times after switching different polishes that they didn't have the matching toe nail polish. I didn't like causing a fuss so I went along with it. I liked the original color put on a nice light purple/mauve. However when we reached the manicure, I was told that they didn't have the matching shellac color. Honestly, I was disappointed, what kind of nail salon doesn't have the matching colors? My nails ended up being a two different colors from what I originally wanted which was a light mauve. Kevin ended up switching my toe nail color 3 times from the original that I wanted to "match" the polish on my nails. Why not just let me pick a different color altogether? I do admit it was my fault at first but my nails aren't the color I wanted at all. He also cut my cuticle causing me to bled. My toenails are way darker than my nails, but they are very well done. I'm happy with the outcome but If I had known that when I agreed to have a slightly off toe nail color that it would end up not being similar at all I would have picked a totally different color. read more

Very disappointed in this past visit to Jeniza today, I've been faithfully going to this salon for almost 2 years since I've moved to the neighborhood and I've been getting frustrated but they've always done a good job on my nails so I deal. I was 1 min late for my appointment and I called to say I'll be running behind and they have my spot away, fine that's my fault so I sat there and waited what I was told would be 30 mins, I wasn't seen until 45 mins of waiting. Of course there were two nail techs sitting there talking not working with anyone while I was waiting? At first I assumed they were waiting for their appointments but no one showed up for them. Could they have started my pedicure? The gal who finally sat to do my pedicure was moving as slow as snails, having conversations with the girls and not focusing on my feet. I started the same time as someone else and the other gal did 2 pedicures before my girl even got to polish. At one point about 5 minutes into my pedicure she got up and went into the back for about 10 mins.. I asked the receptionist to go get her and she say back down to proceed with my painstakingly slooooww pedicure. After being at Jeniza for 2 hrs where I was supposed to get a pedi and gel mani, I told my gel mani had to be done in 45 mins and she said that was impossible? I had to leave at 5 and wasn't planning on being there for 3 hrs anyways. She kept complaining about how busy they were that morning and she was starving that she wanted a break to eat. I said I was okay with someone else doing my nails and she said no one else was available, however there were a ton of girls in the break room! She then asked me if I could come back after she ate in an hour or tomorrow?! That's when I stood up and said I'm done paid and left. Never again! read more

Can walk in w/o an appointment or specific person in mind and still be sure to be taken care of. The nail techs are pretty good but the front desk girl is the rudest and has more than once lied about the wait times! I only put up with it because of my nail tech Jackie, otherwise I would've NEVER returned. The last time I was there (3 days ago) I brought in 2 friends plus me and the front desk girl said she only had time for one of us so we left and at the other salon they took all of us with only 1 hour before closing and it was just a full. Honestly the front desk girl ruins the experience and makes it quite unpleasant to have to be there, not worth it unless you love your nail tech. read more

I certainly will not go back to this salon. May be it was the bad tech I got. I wanted a simple manicure and pedicure and I even bought a picture. She wanted me to get gel manicure done. When I said no, she did a very bad classic manicure , didn't clean up the colors on the side, left the cotton threads hanging around and didn't close the tips. During payment, I showed my nails to cashier who asked this tech to correct my nails. She put a small coat at the top to close the manicure like a patch work!! I have gone here for years, like the cash discount. Always have had a great experience, last week a less than usual quality result. Called for appointment to get another pedi and was blown away by the BEST pedicure I've ever had! It was so awesome that I asked Keith if he had time for a manicure too. The attention to detail, amazing massages and time he spent was extraordinary. He had another appointment so a woman (owner?) finished up. I asked about waxing as I've never had my brows or anything else waxed. She did my brows including more than what I typically included at no charge. I had no idea my brows could look so good. Loyalty pays off so I'm glad I didn't write off Jeniza Nails, but I think I'm spoiled now with how enjoyable my mani pedi was with a Keith (I hope I got his name right, he was masked, behind plexiglass splash guard) and BTW masks, hand washing and plenty of sanitizer made me feel especially comfortable too! read more

The women are amazing and friendly, and my gel nails last as long as they are supposed to with no chipping or peeling. I chalked it up to a poor technician. I'm extremely disappointed in my experience again today. Poor customer service, poor response to a preset appointment, and hurried service. First time coming in and I didn't have the best experience unfortunately. It wasn't that busy when I came in and I got a nail tech pretty quick. I explained what I wanted and she started doing her thing. I noticed right away it wasn't going to be a good experience. She was an older lady and was pretty rough to the point that she kept cutting me when shaving down my acrylic, I started tensing up because I was afraid she was going to keep cutting me. She then went ahead and told me to loosen up and just shaking my finger and doing everything so fast at the same time she kept looking back at the time. At that moment I knew she was probably in a hurry and was being very careless. I usually never say anything but when she told me it would be $25 for a fill and nail repair (more than I had ever paid everywhere else) I knew I wasn't going to pay for something and be in pain. When the gentlemen in the front desk walked by I left him know if I could get someone else because she kept cutting me and looked like she was in a hurry. Everyone obviously stopped and looked at me because I looked like an asshole client and all the nail techs started speaking their language (most likely talking about me). I did feel uncomfortable and upset but I wasn't going to pay for someone to just hurt me and not get a good job. They did get me with someone else by the name of Helen and she did and amazing job! I totally recommend her. First of all don't ever get the older lady with tattooed eyebrows! Second of all they are shady with the prices for sure! They never broke down the prices for me or had it anywhere where I could see. Third of all I am not racist at all I am Hispanic myself and speak Spanish when I want but I think nail salons need to have better customer service and try and think of their customers because most of us know they talk about us wether it's good or bad when they are speaking in their language. Having to stand up and say I didn't like the service I was getting made me nervous and it didn't help all the nail techs started speaking their language and most likely talking about me.
