The salon is small and inside a boutique mall with other beauty suites. It was easy to find them too, as there is a directory when you walk in through the entrance. I called today and was able to schedule a pedicure appointment the same day, as soon as they opened at 9:30 am. Gracie is the one who did my pedicure and she was great, very attentive and sweet. I chose the basic pedicure with gel polish. No free feet pics! lol, but my pedicure came out so well! The location is good, the pricing is reasonable (they accept Zelle, Venmo, or Cash), and the people are very nice and welcoming. I might have just found my new salon for pedicures :) read more

I found this location on Yelp. The owner was very sweet and accommodating. The business is located inside a large building where there are individual business with a variety of options. The business is locked and the owner meets you and take you back to the two spaces the salon occupies. We had a manicure which I was very pleased with. The technician took her time and my hands look and feel so much better. We then got the ultimate pedicures. It was relaxing and again the technician took her time, massages and scrubs and lotions were the best. The chairs are comfortable and they have a tv you can watch. All the staff was friendly, engaging and worked hard. They do not accept CC so make sure you have cash, Venmo or other cash app payment options. read more

.The nails look nice. I was not happy about the cut on my thumb. As you can see in the photo taken a few days later, the cut was infected. I was also quoted two different prices while having my nails done, then charged a different price. read more

Do not hesitate. Book your appointment! This is a female family-run business! They treat the business like they own it because they do! They treat you like you are the most important customer! We are from out of town and had an appointment for one daughter to have tips put on, and another daughter to get a pedicure. On the way, mama's nail got caught in the car door and popped off. They squeezed me in to fix it! - Because I know you want to know, yes, it's a super clean nail salon. As we were leaving, a surgeon was coming in to have her nails done. After having on and off experiences with nail salons in the area, I finally found Charming Nails on Yelp and saw the numerous raving reviews with stunning photos and knew I had to give them a call. I am not a fancy nail person (I'm a musician) but have been trying out manicures to make my hands look neater, and wow, Michelle really did the best work. I had called on a whim on my day off and they let me come in straight away. Michelle took careful consideration of what shape my nails were, what kind of manicure would work best, and even was excited when I changed my mind about the color and chose something different! She recommended trying a matte topcoat and we both fell in love. I got to hear from Michelle firsthand how much she cares about her work and making her clients feel their best. Service was well attended to, detail was key, quality was a detail they couldn't forget. First time here, trying out this salon, and I felt welcome, people actually wanted to talk to me, and the customer service was impeccable. Everything was well priced, and explained thoroughly, everything was clean, and the chairs were the most comfortable. Never in my life have I liked my nails so much I immediately sent them off to my friends and a response of "dude where are you do they have appointments open??" Came back so fast. As much as it pains me, I have to give a 2/5 stars. Not because of the service, but the longevity of my gel nails wasn't up to par :( I had called for a last minute appointment and was so happy to have gotten an appointment on Monday! Tracy (I believe that's what her name was!) did my French tip nails but unfortunately, they started chipping the next day and they're closed on Tuesdays :( And I had a REALLY important interview Wednesday morning, that I was flying out to Tuesday night, so I needed to get the chipped nails fixed ASAP so I ended up going someplace else. It is now Friday and all the nails I didn't get fixed by the other place ended up chipping. I don't see the point in going in to get them fixed because they were super booked and I feel bad asking for them to squeeze me in :( And they won't last long enough anyways. I've attached photos of my nails today (Friday) that I got done on Monday and I'm super disappointed cuz I loved the ambiance of this place The nails that aren't chipped right now are the ones I ended up getting fixed at Phoenician Nails on Glendale and N 12th St. - Edit: The gel definitely didn't crack because my nails are tapping on my phone lol. After reading the reviews about this salon, I called to make an appointment, hoping I could get in the same day. I'm very grateful I was able to get in. I had a memorial service to attend the next day for a family friend and I wanted to get my nails done. EVERY review about Dao and Auntie are so true!!! Not only are they very nice and do an amazing job, but this salon is so cozy and comfortable!! It is small, but I think that's part of it's charm! I can't see myself going to any other salon in the area. I highly recommend making an appointment at Charming Nails. You won't be disappointed. read more

I'm visiting from San Diego and came in this morning for a gel pedicure, because this place has a 4.7 rating and almost 200 reviews. My experience was more of a 2 star, but I'm rounding up so as to not tank the rating. Dao was not my nail tech, but I believe she was the other lady present at the time of service. There were lots of weird things about the service, I'll do bullet points to be concise: Pros: -They had availability right away on a Friday morning and the pedicure polish looks good. Cons: -I was barely acknowledged when I arrived, just waved to sit in one of the chairs -Right after I sat down, the two ladies talked for several minutes in Vietnamese and my nail tech constantly stopped her work to respond to the other one -Cost of a deluxe pedicure with gel was $68. This is what the place by my house in SD charges, except they offer coffee, tea, and wine to customers and have a beautiful, relaxing ambiance -In contrast, this place is a small studio with old looking furnishings, lack of ambiance, and even the towel they gave me to place on my lap was stained in several areas -Polish selection is very limited -My nail tech made a phone call during my service, then after the call she apologized and said something about looking for an apartment -After she scrubbed off my calluses with the foot file, she dumped the shavings into the water my feet were soaking in...like what?!? At this point it was all just laughable to me and I started to feel bad for this small business -The other lady started to eat something, I couldn't see her but I could hear her loudly chewing even over the loud radio she turned on soon after. Even my nail tech turned her head to look, lmao -Most of my heel callus was shaved off, but it was not smoothed out If you are still considering coming here, I would ask for Dao if you want a chance at being pampered in the slightest. read more

I had a funeral service to attend this past weekend, so on Thursday I made an appointment with Dao for Friday morning. I arrived early Friday morning on my lunch break- I started at 4am- info I provided because- I was super tired and not particularly talkative. I was the first one in the suite, they had my chair and foot tub ready for me. Thank God!!!! The older woman (not Dao) told me to pick a color, so I commenced to finding the whitest of white...I love white toe nails in the summer! I guess I took too long and lost my chair because someone came in with a mani/pedi appointment and the woman told HER to start soaking her feet! In the same tub she had just told me to sit at ???? Then as she was soaking, asked her what color she wanted!?!?! Huh???? Well! I suppose the more $ being spent the better service? Didn't make a fuss. Just found a color and say and waited for my new tub to be covered with plastic then filled. Great. Jason (again not Dao) came over and did my pedicure. He was very thorough and nice. I got gel Polish instead of regular, as it's supposed to last longer and strengthen the nails. Yaaay! With me being extremely Covid cautious, I'm only getting my pedicures once a month. Jokes on me, my big toe nail cracked the next morning getting on the elevator! Just got back into town late last night- I spent almost $50, so hopefully when u call today they'll repair it. I went to my usual nail spot and learned that my nail guy had moved so I still got my nails done there but I hated the outcome. The sample color was misleading and I came out with this horrific shade of turquoise, with uneven lines, and ripped skin (my thumb was bleeding in the side). I scheduled an appt with Charming Nails and from the moment I walked in, the owner was so kind, I knew I would be coming back. Seriously, based on the customer service alone, I knew I would be coming back. She asked me if she was hurting me at all, was very gentle, and redid my nails based on what I wanted. Julie did my mani/pedi and I absoutely enjoyed my experience here. Its been a long time since I have had a pedicure/manicure done at a salon ever since they were closed for a long period of time due to COVID-19. It was so refreshing to finally get pampered! My first time going today and it was an ok experience....my pedicure was ok. Dao the owner did a really nice job on my nails. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 yrs consistently and this is the first experience where I was constantly told to relax my hand, don't let my nails touch the towel, it was a bit of an overkill and made my experience awkward, especially when the customer behind me could hear it all. Overall you can tell she cares about her work, takes pride in it, but I won't be back. read more

I've been going to Dao for years and will always recommend and come back!! I have to get frequent pedicures because I am prone to ingrowns and unless I have waited too long between pedicures, my toes are always comfortable after coming here!! I love that it's a small place with only a few pedicure/manicure chairs, makes for a better environment that you may not get at a bigger place. Also love you can pay through Venmo - super easy! Service is always friendly & quick too! I know I won't have to sit and wait for hours just for a pedicure, I'm always pleasantly surprised with how quick I'm in and out. I do not recommend this place, this is the only time where my gel manicure lasted less than 6 hours. I got home and the gel completely came off, the rest didn't last for even a week. The lady that did my manicure also had the gel residue left on skin. I recently move to AZ and this was the first place I tried, and love to support small business but sadly, I was disappointed by the quality of the work that was done. read more

As I approached the front counter, I politely asked, "Do you have an opening for two mani and pedis?" The woman at the front responded rudely, "Okay, go pick out your nail color," while rolling her eyes and walking away with an obvious attitude. That first interaction immediately made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I hadn't even received a service yet, and I already felt like I was being treated differently for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, the experience was enough for me to walk out without spending a dime. I cannot speak to the quality of their services because I chose not to stay, but customer service starts with how you treat people when they walk through the door. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place.

At the end of it I paid and walked out completely unhappy with the nail service. However the pedicure was lovely and absolutely worth the time and the cost. I guess the lesson here is know what services a place actually provides before booking.

I thought I was going to some average strip mall nail salon while I was stuck in the Phoenix area, waiting for my car to get fixed. But I was pleasantly surprised by this place. For one, everything is very neat and very tidy. The pedicure chairs are very recent, and stylish with glass footballs. I know it's a little thing, but it shows pride in ownership and the image the store wants to put out there. I will say, the basic men's pedicure is $33. That is about double of what I normally pay back in Southern California when I go. So I was eager to see what the extra money would get me. I will say this. My technician was really awesome. Sweet middle-aged Asian lady, who was very mindful to make this a pleasant experience. Some pedicure places get a little bit rough with the tools, she was very gentle, and dare I say loving as she was taking care of my feet. Pedicure for sure. I got to brag on the massage chairs. They seemed like they were updated and new. You know those massage chairs where you feel like someone is barely tapping your back? Not this one. This one felt like someone was actually rubbing out the knots in my back. I could have stayed there all day if they would have let me. The basic men's pedicure also included a foot and leg massage.. definitely not long enough, but what a great treat at the end of your pedicure. Bottom line? If I am ever back in Arizona in this area again this is going to be my go-to place to get my toenails done. You definitely owe it to yourself to go check this place out, you will not regret it!

The only two times I've been. I'm not coming back. The first time, with a gel pedi, the lady didn't polish to the edges of the nail. This time, it's a plethora of thins. I don't even know where to begin. My toenails are different lengths. I like them short/square. The pinky toenail and the ones next to it, on each foot, were not even cut! The big toenails are cut at an angle. A very visible angle. The polish itself is bumpy and very uneven. BUFF THE NAILS if you remove gel and replace with regular polish!!!! This isn't rocket science. She had the file/buffer in her hand, but was shaking over thin air, hitting the edge of a toenail here, maybe twice. I can give myself a better pedicure. Seriously. I now wish I would have, but since I don't own a dremel (who does) to get the toxic gel off my toenails Only good thing here is that I got regular polish and can remove it myself, right now. I tried a new place hoping to save some money, but I am returning to my old trustworthy.

I've been to this place now three times... The first, I did have to wait about 10 minutes for the…read morenail tech to come start my nails... I did not think anything of it. The second time I was back was just for a fill and they did not complete the design as she switches two of the colors incorrectly and the thickness of the nail on one finger was too much and unbalanced and oddly textured but the set was nice enough and they made a big deal of how hard straight stripes were for the nails. I felt too guilty to ask them to fix it so I kept it, knowing it would force me into a set removal instead of a fill the next time. This time, I arrived at 9:30 AM and did not leave until 11:27 AM.... I had booked two services, a set removal and a manicure, a week in advance thinking I could get a chance to relax. To my surprise, the nail tech "ran out of time" to complete the set removal and manicure, leaving me sitting without a technician for half an hour. When I told the secondary technician who came to finish the polish that I felt disrespected and was looking to speak with someone, she told me the owner was out but I could ask the woman at the front desk in charge of scheduling since the system regularly overbooks technicians. When I got up to the front desk I had to wait AGAIN because she was working on nails herself then proceeded to argue with me that I had confirmed a set removal when I arrived, and so they had taken the manicure off. So therefore, it was my fault that I was sitting and waiting on their staff for half an hour. Which to her is "a little bit". When I then mentioned that I had confirmed the set removal and had wanted to keep the second service so I did not understand the confusion, and would prefer to speak to a manager or owner since she was arguing she insisted I could only speak to her. She then proceeded to tell me that the nail tech was just "too slow in the removal process" and so it was actually her fault. -- not wanting to take accountability for their overbooking. She continued to try to argue with but I had enough and asked her to please let me pay so that I could leave. She said something along the lines of she was going to provide a small discount (10%) then proceeded to give me nasty faces as if it was a ridiculous ask to be escalated to a manager or someone similar because of the poor service. At the end, I asked her to remove me from all marketing texts, and emails and I am still getting them... The technicians are lovely for the most part but if you want any level of respect, choose any other salon.
