From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed so kindly by Kim. She was warm, friendly, and made me feel right at home. Bebe did my dip nails perfectly. She cut them short just like I asked and the bright pink color is exactly what I wanted for summer. Dana handled my pedicure and WOW, my feet have never felt better. I'm having surgery on Friday. The hospital told me I could not have nail polish. I stopped in to get a manicure and pedicure and get my toe polish taken off.The pedicure was the best I've ever had. I paid $45 for an upgraded pedicure and $25 for a manicure. They took the time to really make it feel relaxing. It wasn't that busy and everything looked new. All of the techs knew English. So I recently moved to the area from Seattle and went to the closest nail salon to my house for a pedicure, poor experience. I shared this and I was referred to go to Wendys Nails off 16th street & Glendale ave next to Walgreens. 5 min drive from my house. Appointment set for today at Noon, mani pedicure. Ann greeted me when I came in with a fun and cheerful manner joking with me right away. Ive had at-least 1 pedicure a month for nearly 20 years. This was the Best experience Ever! OMG her attention to detail and level of professionalism was incredible. She took extra care to make sure I was comfortable while she was doing the bottom of my very ticklish feet. Not sure the name of woman who did my nails, but she really tried her best to do the picture I showed her. Thank you! She tried the flower technique but couldn't quite get it right so went with the dot flowers instead. Maybe this isn't the best place for designs. I came here because my dad came here and said Ann does the best pedicure ever and his manicure from Kim is on Point! He always looks so well groomed because he gets a pedicure here at least once a month and his nails trimmed and buffed every other week. Everywhere we go people comment on how nice his toes and feet look. So I came and sure enough, totally on point! I had a broken acrylic nail theta split my nail Bed and took half my nail with it. Do not go here ever! I don't think I've ever had a worse set of acrylics in my life. I believe I had Wendy, the owner, and she didn't even bother to ask basic questions like what nail shape I want. She also didn't even bother looking at the photo I had to reference. She also rushed doing my nails which was weird because there was only one other woman in there with me. Update to my previous review...Well after 1 week since my dip. I had to comeback to have my two thumb nails redone as the top coat was too thin and my nails were catching on everything Bc the topcoat was peeling off. Worst 70$ total I have ever spent. If your salon charges these high prices for basic work, then the least they could do is use quality products!! My nails should have been dipped three times and two coats of topcoat used!! That wasn't the case. Annoying and frustrating that I had to go back to have them fixed. read more

This place has the worst customer service. I specifically booked an appointment for a design mani and they assigned me with a nail tech who couldn't do designs. I decided to just do a french mani with a red tip to make it easier for her, and while I'm up picking out a new red, she starts working on someone else and has me wait with half manicured nails. I wouldn't have cared if there was communication but she just upped her attitude when I asked her what her game plan was (ie am I going to a different nail tech? Where do I sit now?) My nails were not filed evenly and the red tips aren't even! Last time I was charged $15 extra for a nail design (and I actually got a design done) and when it comes time for me to pay for today's service, the nail tech is charging me $20. It was Saturday afternoon so I was not optimistic, but did some searching online. Wendy's Nails was one of the three local listings that came up and they had some nice reviews. Thankfully they were able to fit her in late Saturday and she was absolutely delighted. She can be quick picky as she often does her nails herself, but she was absolutely delighted with the service, price and results. Wendy was the one who provided the mani/pedi and went above and beyond expectations. Very convenient, we saw they were even open on Sunday, New Years Eve. Very clean and friendly service. Now onto skill: I've been going there for under four years thanks to my location in the neighborhood. Wendy's Nails is not only reasonably priced (I'm an economical gal), but great at what they did. I'm a gel nail person and they have a SPECTACULAR selection of gel colors. It's true that this salon doesn't have the latest regular paint colors from like OPI, but if you want to pay a ridiculous amount more for a trend when they have the exact nail color (but maybe not brand name there), then by all means do that... When I had my wedding, I love the atmosphere, quality, and price so much that I had my bridal party from London and Seattle get their nails finished there before I was married at DC Ranch. I loved that it was sharing my family with their family while getting nails done. I typically go there every three weeks for my gel mani (which grows out but rarely breaks), and I'll get a regular paint mani. I'll spend about $50 for the two services. They only allow tips in cash, so I'll just go next door to Walgreens where they have a Chase ATM and I take $20 out in cash. They can break the bill for a tip at the receptionist. They told me if I would have gotten under 1/4 inch length there wouldn't have charged the $10, BUT WHY would I pay for something I can just grow out myself naturally.
