I have been coming to this location of urban wax for years and have never had a bad experience until today. The wax technician was super lazy, she did not apply baby powder, used only one hand when pulling the wax instead of using the second hand to create tension, missed hair above below and in between the brows, and did not trim them until i asked. when i mentioned the missed hairs she applied wax again right over the same area instead of using tweezers with the same sloppy technique and ultimately burned my eyelids. i am very disappointed in this experience and my eyelids are in pain. the enclosed picture was taken 7 hours after my appointment and as you can see there is a clear burn mark and my brows are not even well done. read more

Today is May 09 2025. March 08 2025 requested Brazilian wax. March 08th received hot wax burns. Two months later there is no sign of hair regrowth. The aesthetician did not follow my request on March 08th. Urban wax and aesthetician caused negligence, unsafe. Pubic area continues to have discolored skin from the March 08th Brazilian wax service. Pubic Hair follicles are completely destroyed. Aesthetician rippeds ripped out all of my pubiz haid - waxing the same area 3x. This is a life time emotional distress. Aesthetician actions neglect, reckless, physical harm to my persom. wax burn are visible. A law suit will be filed against urban wax central and urban wax central aesthetician. I had a pretty bad experience the first time but was offered an appointment with a different esthetician and it was polar opposite from my first visit. Allie made me feel extremely comfortable and seemed very knowledgeable. She gave me some helpful tips and the waxing was nowhere near as painful as the first time I went and saw someone else. I am such a fan of sugar waxing and I'm such of fan of Urban Wax doing my Sugar wax. I've only had a sugar wax one time before this time (from someplace else) and I remember it being painful. This time, no pain. Yayyyy! Mariah did my wax. She was fast. I called around noon to see if they had any open appointments. She said Yes, we can take you at 12:15 or 12:40. It was a Friday! So I spent half of my lunch break (about 30 mins) on my sugar wax. I got there a little early. The guest before me was a little late so my appointment started late. 3rd Update: Finally came back for my wax today and this time it was with Victoria. It's hard to believe how easy this went! I had to wait 5 weeks due to my schedule and I had a decent amount of hair (almost like my first time) but this was NO WHERE NEAR as painful. Not only did she tell me how to breath to help but she readily applied pressure after pulling each strip. I actually felt great walking out! As usual, the woman at the front desk was also very nice and informative when it came to how I should schedule my next appointment. Loved the job Aaron did, really listened and did an amazing work on my brows that were long overdue for her magic touch. I do have to say I'd give five stars had the receptionist been a little friendlier with my friend and I. I went for a full Brazilian. I wanted a small strip of hair on the top. The wax tech did more of a modified Brazilian on top, leaving a lot of extra hair. I just let it be because when she waxed me, instead of doing a couple of strips of wax on small areas she just did it all at once on each side and then tore two giant pieces of wax off me. It was excruciating. She then did it two more times on each side, the second and third time the wax felt like it was burning me because my skin was already sensitive. She could of done three small strips on each side, which would of been the same amount of work for her-with better results and less pain for me. I bled a little and 5 days later, I still have small scabs on my front area. It's not cute and I was tender and red for 2 days after. I am writing this review because I was sent a survey about my experience last week, and no one ever reached out in response. I will not be back. read more

Pricing - I was happy to discover that there is a discount for first time appointments. I've compared the price of urban wax to other nearby waxing places, and I think urban wax has the best value. Three star rating because after the fact, I described my experience to a close friend who gets waxes often & informed me that my wax was not done correctly. Without being overly descriptive, areas were missed/not done at all which resulted in my hair growing back at different lengths & the overall work being seemingly patchy. I was 15 mins early for my appointment (first timer) and Sammy took me right back. I haven't had my eyebrows waxed in 13 years and I had a bad experience back then. The wax these guys use doesn't require the muslin cloth and it was so much better. Less pain, faster, easier. I was there for less than 10 mins. I got a really bad brow wax here today. My brows have a pretty good natural shape and just need a clean up periodically, which is what I asked for. The waxer took way too much off and they're uneven. They look like bad 2000s era skinny brows. I will never trust this place again nor should you. Unless you like the 2000s era skinny brow look. warning- upcoming TMI lol.. I got a brazilian wax about month ago and it still hasn't grown out fully, which i'm very happy about! I don't think i'd ever shave again tbh. the wax only took about 15 minutes. it was incredibly quick and she got absolutely every single hair. i believed i booked with Wendy and she was very informative and seemed to know what she was doing. it did kind of feel like she was rushing the service, but i didn't mind since she did a good job. only reason i don't give this experience full stars is because the woman doing my wax seemed a bit annoyed at first when I asked to use the restroom first. it was my first time ever going to get this type of wax and honestly I wasn't expecting to just go into the room and drop my pants. even though I showered before driving out there, i didn't think it'd be frowned upon for me to freshen up real quick before she gets a look lol I don't know if I'd go back with her in particular, but I loved what waxing did for me, and I'll definitely recommend this place to others. read more
