I started going here for laser hair removal in 2017 from a groupon I purchased. I did my treatments with hettie ( the owner) and she always made me feel so comfortable which is key since I was doing the Brazilian area. She also was great about discussing skin tips and giving suggestions without it feeling like a sale pitch. While i was doing my hair removal sessions (I ended up getting a Groupon for 6 and purchased 2 additional sessions) I got a pack of 3 laser facials (carbon and/or IPL) which Hettie also did and I had so many people in my life compliment my skin after which is an amazing feeling since it is one thing I'm self conscious about. When I was in for my last laser treatment ( I haven't had to shave in 2 months! ) I mentioned the place I was going for facials closed and she told me about their facial membership options which I recently started and the esthetician was so sweet and informative. She was great at addressing my concerns and putting a plan together. It was also such a relaxing service where she even did a little massage with it. Lastly the front desk girl is always so sweet and has great knowledge on their services and products. She's so easy to have conversations with and has a great memory with people. Awesome experience at Lighten Up! I went in for laser hair removal of my underarms and Brazilian areas. Hatti was lovely. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. I had a previously had my legs lasered at another establishment, which left my legs pretty fuzzy even after 6 treatments. Hatti was happy to discuss the different types of lasers, and why I might have had that experience. I could tell she really knew her stuff! I was definitely reassured that I would have more success this time around. We started by doing an assessment of my skin type to determine what laser treatment would be appropriate. Then she left while I changed to make the treatment areas accessible. She began the treatment by doing a test on my underarm- I didn't even know anything had happened, it was totally painless. Next she did the Brazilian. This was a bit more painful, but nothing worse than waxing, and the pain dissipated immediately. The laser treatment took no more than 10-15 minutes. All considered, the appointment was great! I am excited to update after the 6th session. read more

I must first say that I do respect a company's ability to refuse service to anyone that is there right and that is not the problem here. We made an appointment at this place from a recommendation from someone we truly trust. The person making the appointment was very nice and all seemed well. Upon arrival seemed well enough went and got work done to remove a tattoo in the beginning of removing multiple tattoos. I believed it was getting some removal done because the laser was uncomfortable when I was done, two other appointments were made and I went on my way. However I got a phone call while in my car that stated the laser removal girl was uncomfortable with my gang tattoos and she would not be continuing service after making two appointments with me. Fine enough but the problem is if you don't want to do the work don't make the appointments, don't run the laser on low to make a person feel it but not enough to do anything (have been to another removal place and that's what I have been told from the look of it and the time laps) refund the money and send them in their way. It's bad business, be upfront about what you are willing to help people with and don't take their money and not truly provide the service to the best of your ability. Moral for me, this place is good enough as long as you don't have any offense tattoos. Unfortunately most people that want removal have a past and don't like looking at it everyday. Great place for tramp stamps but serious removal I would look elsewhere. read more

Inexpensive, affordable, and FRIENDLY STAFF. Hettie is amazing and has been doing my Brazilian for about a year now (its a process and doesn't happen over night). And YES PEOPLE, BRAZILIAN!!!! I was going to go with the bikini laser but after feeling the first session, definitely went for it! I didn't want to shave AT ALL anymore because that was the reason I paid all that money for right?! Got my first Brazilian laser hair removal treatment last week and I couldn't believe how fast it was. In and out in less than 15 minutes (excluding paperwork). The owner is so nice and very knowledgeable. You can tell she knows what she is doing. She makes you feel so comfortable even in an awkward situation like getting your Brazilian done. It is uncomfortable but not painful. She does it so fast you don't have time to think about the discomfort. I have been seeing Heti for skin treatments for almost a year now. I had long standing acne (if you notice, I said "I had",thanks to Heti's efforts). I have tried micro-needling and Carbon laser with her. I am 29 and eventhough my hormones have settled down to where I do not get serious breakouts anymore but my skin had serious acne scarring. Although the microneedling was helping to an extent with the scarring, my skin needed a deep cleanse. Heti suggested to get carbon laser done which has helped tremendously, and my skin got better with each treatment to where I have next to no scars. I am able to go to work each day, not needing any make up and still get comments from coworkers saying "you're glowing".
