I will say, the actual space for facials feels cramped as I had to weave my way around the estheticians to make my way to the bathroom prior to my appointment slot. I have been to a handful of spas throughout the valley and many membership based studios, and this setup was a tad unappealing. There are six stations located in the back studio space with each guest laying side by side which does not feel private. For the price of services offered if expect some privacy during each service. The facial itself was lovely, with the initial steps being thoroughly explained by the esthetician. I've been coming to Hi, Skin for a while and the estheticians are consistently wonderful. I've always had great facials, which makes this recent experience disappointing. I had to cancel a same-day appointment due to a work emergency and was told over the phone it was "no problem." By Chastity (I think that was her name if I remember correctly). Later, I noticed a $25 cancellation fee charged to my credit card, even though my membership is set up on my debit card. I was never informed about the fee during the call, nor did I authorize my credit card to be used for membership charges. At my next visit, I updated my debit card information, but my monthly membership was again charged to my credit card. When I stopped by to purchase a Valentine's Day gift card that weekend, I explained the situation to the front desk and was told they wouldn't have charged it without authorization. There was no apology or acknowledgment, which was disappointing, especially given I was actively supporting the business. The estheticians are great, but the billing confusion and lack of customer service at the front desk have me reconsidering my membership. read more

It left my skin glowing and also made my face feel lighter in a way. Loved the smell and feel of all of the products that were used on my skin. Hailey also explained that the majority of the products they carry/use include natural ingredients and are woman owned. She answered all of my questions and made me feel super comfortable. The receptionist was very kind and the entire process was very quick, simple and easy. The inside of the establishment is kind of small but I really liked the atmosphere. I just had the BEST facial with Ashley! I've been to some very high-end, "bougie" spas before, and this was hands down the best facial I've ever received. Ashley truly took her time and never made the appointment feel rushed. She explained every step of the treatment, what she was using, and why -- which made me feel completely comfortable and confident in her expertise. A number of chairs were lined up side by side in an open room with bright lights and lots of conversation. I had an hour long sales pitch during my facial. Sooooo happy I started going here. I do the monthly hour long facial with Esmi. I've also seen Olivia when I had to reschedule- both are wonderful. I leave feeling confident, more knowledgeable about my skin and it's truly the best self care. I have been a member at this location for a year now. I'm in process of moving to Tempe and will have to go to the Scottsdale location now as it'll be closer, BUT to get to the heat of the meat, I cannot recommend this place enough. For context, I have been cursed with eczema on my scalp and face, leading to periodic flare-ups, flaky skin, generally not a good look in the facial department. I decided it was time to do something about it and started coming here after doing some research. It is not your typical skincare spa and resort, but more so a facial that is personalized towards your main areas of concern. The studio is not loud - bear in mind sometimes we sacrifice small comforts for big results. The staff is fantastic. The results for me and my skin are great. They do typically recommend some products that are also personalized. To some people it can seem a bit salesman-ish but theres always a chance you can ask for a sample. In other cases my esthetician has simply asked if I needed to stock up on products. If you become a regular member you'll of course be able to stick with the same person and start building a client relationship there, so just some things to consider. There are many places out there specifically designed to give you the full cucumber-eye pampering experience, but if you're anything like me and want to keep your face in good healthy condition skincare-wise, it is worth the investment if you are willing to dive in. read more

This isn't somewhere you come to relax though, it's more of a quick turnaround type of service. Which is more my style. Fast forward to a few months ago, I booked a service for myself and a friend. We called to let them know we were running a few minutes behind, they said not a problem. I called again as we were in the parking lot and we were told our appointments were canceled. We were 3 minutes late. I understand punctuality, but not being flexible whatsoever especially when we were 3 minutes late is a little extreme. Hi, Skin is what I look forward to at the end of the month. I find it challenging to relax and enjoy myself at any time but Liz is wonderful. I can be socially awkward and she is so accepting. I give her creative freedom so to speak. I know she can look at my skin and determine what I need so I just let her do her thing. She does ask me every time if I need anything specific but I like everything she does. I had Peyton once too because I had to reschedule last minute and she was also great. Front desk/reception is always so pleasant. McKenna is so cute. I have the membership after going to my first appointment. You receive a better deal monthly if you sign up at your first appointment. The location is clean and visually appealing. The products they use are awesome. They more recently brought in more affordable ones that work too. I do like (and own) the Ursa Major and Eminence products. Everything they use smells and feels so good. Cali rocks too! :) My favorite stress reliever is coming here at the end of the month. I want to start of by saying I've always had a lovely experience with everyone at Hi Skin. I went in one day in a whim to try and help my acne prone skin. And I'm glad I did! Since going my skin has cleared up and every aesthetician has helped me understand more about my skin and how to take care of it at home! I want to shout out Alexis! (Although every aesthetician there is super kind and knowledgeable!!!) Alexis went out of her way to make a list of all of the products that are safe for my skin because I have an unusual honey allergy. She did not have to do this. But she did because that how attentive she is and Hi Skin is. I have been a member here on and off for years. My expectations were never high as this is a business model that is somewhat unique and obviously not a spa. For this specific location, it is silly not to go to Clovr life spa next door. They are many levels above as far as what they offer and their pricing. My last facial, they talked me into trying a peel. In doing so, I did not get any of the regular services with the facial such as massage or mask. Then come to find out, I never even peeled. When I mention that this time, they begin to give me this long drawn out speech about how you're not supposed to peel. That's like telling a customer that they're wrong to their face. Very unprofessional service. If you're not supposed to peel, then that is called false advertising. Clearly I wasn't told that; otherwise I would not have been questioning it today. Why would I do a peel if I'm not going to peel? The point is to remove dead skin. On their website it reads "low down-time peel". There was zero downtime. I wasn't red leaving (nor ever) and never peeled. Clown world! If I wasn't told that I would not peel, then I should not have to pay for this. I was told that I would peel by Friday. There was a lengthy discussion about me having plans on Saturday and when would I be done peeling. Never once was I counseled on any potential of not peeling at all. Even better, I sit in the chair today and they tell me that because I had crows feet Botox 15 days ago that I cannot do my facial. When I booked the appointment, it stated in writing that 14 days is the timeline, but today she told me it's one month. She proceeds to show me my original contract that states four weeks is the window. I attempt to tell her about the message when I booked the appointment this morning, and she cuts me off and will not listen. I don't know if she didn't understand what I was saying. My point was that the rule could have changed from the time I had signed the contract until now. This morning their website told me 14 days. She proceeds to tell me that I'm being rude while she's cutting me off and will not hear me out. I was very calm and just stating the facts. The fact remains, that there is a large contradiction in writing and that when I booked the appointment, it stated very clearly that it's a 14 day rule. I will be waiting for the manager to follow up and I will follow up on here to let you know if they make it right. Clearly I shouldn't pay for services. I did not receive. I was treated terribly and not allowed to speak. I have never been treated like that before. Very unprofessional people there. I take that back, the girl working the front desk was not rude. It was just the aesthetician. I wasn't that upset that I had to reschedule, but the fact that the aesthetician refused to have a conversation and was cutting me off was unacceptable. I have found my monthly facial spot. I love this place sooo much! I booked online on Friday for an appointment on Sunday My aesthetician Angelique was great and walked me through my entire treatment. I did dermaplane for the first time and it has my skin feeling like it can breathe. I signed up for the monthly membership and have my next session in August. The membership is $100 monthly for the 60mins session and discounts on everything else. I highly recommend at least trying this place out and giving your face the workout it needs. read more

I did feel like what I got was not worth the payment every month, considering some facials were using many of the products I had bought through them for my home care...every time you go in, they will recommend new products, and though they aren't pushy about it, since my skin was not getting better, I always felt like I needed to buy it all. Over the course of 8 months I spent $3,000!! That included the monthly fee, products, and tips. I was trying to get my skin better for my wedding so it was very disappointing when it didn't get better and at times got worse. My esthetician was very sweet but the whole experience was upselling from start to finish. The facial was 30 minutes but didn't last that long. Towels were not warm and extractions minimal. She put the red light on me without goggles which felt really odd but she said it was fine. Still not sure if that is the case. They charge you a fee to use a credit card but don't tell you. I gave a low rating on their survey and the store manger contacted me immediately which I really appreciated. She said the mini facial is better as a pick me up facial. I had not received a facial since 2017 when I took a vacation to Jamaica. I also deal with eczema and occasional redness on my face, and as much as I've loved using other cleansers and moisturizers, they haven't really done much as far as visible results went. I did some research after coming across a Facebook ad and decided to stop in to the Camelback location. Overall it was a great experience! Sydney was awesome. The booster I had selected would not have worked out with my facial hair, something she pointed out and recommended a similar alternative to which I of course agreed. Afterward she gave me three products to purchase and I left with a membership and never-before-used skincare products. A week and a half later, supremely thankful I went AND bought the products to take home as they've miraculously done the trick. I haven't had any flakiness on my face and very minimal redness flare-ups if any. The other component is of course the membership, and it does involve a three- month commitment from what I was informed by the receptionist. Afterward, however, it becomes a bit more flexible with the option to cancel or simply pause your membership. Bear in mind that aside from a discount on the boosters and products, a lot of the membership value also comes from the fact you're getting a minimum 60-minute facial customized for your skin. Definitely recommend reading up online or simply calling one of the locations directly for more info but to me, it 100% feels (and looks) worth it. read more

The business model is to become a member and receive 1 "discounted" facial per month and a "discount" on products. I have gotten facials regularly for the last 10 years from an esthetician in a high end salon. When I moved to Arizona, I tried several of these open concept, community facial establishments and Hi, Skin is my favorite because: - extra knowledgeable staff (Megan G) - she can recite ingredients and the benefits/uses of each, she tailors the products and approach to your skin type, she recommends products that actually help instead of recommending to make a sale/get commission - the salon is very clean and I see them disinfect each chair between use - they don't have their own line of products. They use Pre-existing high end product lines. - very flexible scheduling - they don't charge extra for "add-ons" (extractions, massage, etc) (many other open-concept facial salons DO and what seems like competitive pricing can quickly jump to become not-competitive) There is a code for the first time which helps if you're not sure that you want to commit to a membership. Otherwise, one-off facials (without the membership) are pretty pricey. Just go for it and get the membership! You can cancel with no penalty after 3 months. read more
