I nickel & diming was an element on the periodic table it would be this place. Before I rant I want to preface that the nails tech I have worked with are extremely nice, this isn't about them. From the top, don't bother booking online because when you come in the front desk is going to act like you're a walk-in anyway. They are also going to hit you up several times by the time you are getting your service to confirm what you're getting. They are going to also walk over several times with their tablets and ask the tech how much longer, confirm the service you're getting and generally make you feel like you're a problem. It also stresses out the tech because they will start rushing and that's when things can get sloppy. Oh, and you want a basic bottled beer or glass of wine? That's going to set you back $12-15, each. Pricing transparency? Good luck. I got a basic pedicure with gel, typical up charge for gel so that wasn't a surprise but my 10 year old wanted a pedicure too. The front desk lady came over with her tablet and confirmed my kid's age, and gave a thumbs up. Places usually charge $10-15 for a kid pedicure, but not this place. I was charged the full $40 for a basic pedicure, I didn't know that was the pricing until I checked out and they informed me that the kid pedicure age cut-off is seven. Can a seven year old even get a pedicure? So mom's out there, you've been warned. While I'm getting my pedicure a woman next to me wanted to remove her gel and get regular polish with her pedicure. Easy enough, right? Well, Miss Tablet came by to inform the customer there's a $10 charge to remove gel and replace with regular polish, while the lady is knee deep in her pedicure. Transparency, where? She wasn't happy but also what are you going to do at that point? For the big finale, I got a basic mani with no polish, just buff & shine. The front desk kept pressuring my tech about her time so she started rushing. I'm growing out years of acrylic use and I could have done this at home but it's my birthday and I wanted a treat. They charged an additional $10 to BUFF AND SHINE nails. Like, what?? What else do they consider a $30 manicure? Y'all, these prices are wild in this economy. With tip I spent $182 for a nothing mani, nothing pedi and a gel pedi. The sticker shock had my head spinning. Oh yeah! You want to either card? That'll be a $6 fee too. No thank you. I've been here three times and the nail techs are great. It's the front desk being weird and the prices not being transparent that will make me not return again. read more

I got a Dip manicure (black and red spiderweb design) and their Pearl Pedicure, and both turned out amazing! My nails look even better in person smooth, shiny, and super detailed. You can tell they take pride in their work and don't rush through the process. My first experience was subpar and my second experience today was painful. Tony barely spoke to me. He kept tapping me to do things and I didn't know what it meant, then he would look annoyed. But the worst of it was when he buffed my skin to the point of bleeding, and when I pointed it out, he didn't say anything and just dipped my foot in water. Then he repeated kept spraying that same injury with alcohol. I spoke to the front desk about it and they suggested I come back as a solution. Rude tech & poor customer service. Went to this place on a Saturday, got lucky and booked a last minute appointment. It was crazy busy, every chair was filled, it was a well oiled machine. I had a pedicure and my nail tech Tom did a great job. They give you so many color options and package options as well. It was a little expensive, but no more than any other nail place. Heard that Lisa was the person to see for nail designs by a coworker who had a friend that has only seen Lisa for years. Lisa was friendly and made the appointment a lot of fun. Love my nails but agree that "management" is making up pricing. I was told I would get a quote for my nail design and the lady at the front desk never came back. When I went to checkout, I'm pretty sure she just randomly picked a number to charge me. I'll probably still go back but will push for more info on pricing or limit my design requests. Sucks because it's obvious that Lisa knows what she is doing and the whole point of me coming to Elements is for design work. I've tried this place a couple times trying to find a nail salon closer to home but I have never had a great experience here. I have really great nails usually but since coming here they have deteriorated. They do not soak your nails in any solution before removing old nail polish (it is an upcharge). So much was left behind. The nail tech just asked if it was hot while she removed. When it was hot she pulled back but this left residual. Why not soak and know what needs to be removed because it was softened? Disappointing. I will not be back and instead will just make the journey to my go-to place in Scottsdale. read more

They do a really good job at Nails. My nails do always look good, however, the receptionist and the person who was coming up with pricing is so wild with their pricing and how inaccurate and inconsistent it is. Almost every time I come I call back the next day and ask for the exact same thing I got and it's between 10 and $15 cheaper. And then they have to put a credit on my account. Today I got nice nails, with a moderate design. They charged me $10 a nail additional for a design. So I spent $40 on four nails with French tips and flowers. (and my flowers I mean, three lines with a dot in the middle) when I told them I was upset about the price the receptionist lied, and said she spoke to the manager on the phone, but I watched her and she never said anything. Unfortunately, I'm going to be disputing this charge because I'm not happy with the service I received, I did not receive $105 nails and they are rude and unprofessional. I've been going here consistently for about for 7-8 months, and I've been just as happy and satisfied with the quality and experience each and every time. The environment is extremely welcoming and overall happy vibes. I love that they have a team up from that's there just to keep the front organized and running smoothly, but they're also constantly walking around making sure everyone is comfortable. This is a pretty well managed shop. All the nail techs at Element who I've had do a really good job. Recently one toe nail didn't dry after a considerable time, so when I got home it smeared. I called and they very courteously agreed to fix it at my convenience the next day. When I arrived, they encouraged me to redo all of them, possibly with another color, in case that one was a problem. The woman who redid them was the one who did them originally.
